This place has some kind of policy that everyone must leave their backpack or anything that resembles a backpack at the door. I walked in with a baby in a baby stroller and I was treated as a criminal I was not let in the store without leaving my backpack and all of my belongings inside at the register. How do I know they're not gonna steal anything? I stormed out I will never shop at this establishment again. Most of the people that work at this Brickell location are rude and have poor customer service skills! I try to avoid this place as much as possible, I'd rather go to Home Depot and use their self checkout. This white guy named George who is frequently working the cash register is not friendly at all and seems like a racist guy. There is also a bulky white girl who has a lot of tattoos that works the cash register too, also rude and seemingly racist. The guy who works in the hardware (screws, nuts, bolts) department seems helpful but that doesn't seem like a common attribute among the rest of the employees. There are many places in Miami that lack good customer service, but this place is one of the worst! The only reason I occasionally visit this location is because it is close to where I live, but I would rather travel many miles than deal with these people... next! read more

They are always extremely helpful and help you understand what you need and take the time to make sure you have what you need. I live a few blocks from this ace and go there when I need something small quickly. I hate going there because the employees are on your *ss worse than a used car salesman in little havana. I walk in the door two people ask me if I need help, I say no, I get to the section I need and the same employee asks what I'm looking for, I say I found it... he continues to say well let me help you write it up... Was trying to find a place open on Sunday to pick up a few things for a project at home. I tried a few other Ace stores. The one on Flagler has closed down permanently. The Ace in Allapattah is closed on Sundays. I was already a little upset having to drive around town trying to fine one open. Surprisingly as soon as I got here, a young employee named Lenin came right up to me as I walked in and asked if I needed help finding anything. I explained to him what I was trying to do and he took the time to walk me over to the section I needed. We tried a few different size bolts and found exactly what I needed. I've been here maybe 6-8 times. Staff is great and super helpful, you almost feel bad telling them you don't need help, but its a good thing. It seems small from outside but I was surprised at how much stuff you find there. Of course you won't find things that you can get at home depot, but lets say, for most of your needs, everything is there. Small to medium size projects. I've gone for home accessories, BBQ accessories (gas and tools), tools, cleaning supplies and hardware. If you want to save the trip to 8st and traffic, this is such a clean and friendly place. I've been to this location twice. Both times, the staff went beyond just helping me find a product. The first, I had rusted screws attached to my license plate that were very difficult to remove, and the employee helped me remove it after I purchased some new screws for a new plate. I recently went to the store even though it's not my fav place to go but it was an emergency and I needed something. I went in the store and was looking for an employee named Charlie that always helps me when I go in ( he knows about everything ). I was shocked to hear from the manager Alex that he had been let go and the reason he was let go. Im in shock as to why the manager let me know the reason, with me being in management I would never let my customers or other employees know what goes on between management and staff when your in an office. I feel it's a little childish and inappropriate to discuss things like that with customers and other employees also while speaking with Alex I witnessed Alex touching himself while we were speaking about Charlie he made me feel super uncomfortable and it made me feel a little dirty like I was being sexualized I finished my conversation and went on my way. I visited this store located in Brickell Friday, and I was given such great support that I had to write this, I stopped going to the ACE location on NE 2nd ave (Budget Hardware) because of the lack of service and the rudeness of the people there, simply put they are jerks, sorry for the term used but it's the truth, When I walk into the location at Brickell I'm greeted, everyone smiling and looks as if they like their jobs, one of the employees asked what project am I working on today, and how can he help me complete it, all with a smile , I've been to this location before and always the same attitude with the staff, I think their radios that they speak into are a bit loud , but it's busy and I understand, I was able to get the bulb I needed, and a few other items a bit pricy but worth it, while checking out the gentleman that helped me thanked me and wish me a good day, I think he's a manger ,his shirt was black not red, I don't get this service at Home Depot or the other store I mention this is now my new location thanks!!and the bulb works great. read more

Bought $50 garden hose from this store in March 2014 with a 1-year warranty. Hose defective in September 2014 so returned to store as instructed on box. Was told immediately, would have to deal with manufacturer directly. Insisted on speaking to manager who told me the same thing. Then pointed out what was written on the box and then he gave me the refund and said this had happened several times and he was not going to sell this hose anymore. To me, this meant that he had gone through this refund process several times with this hose and had refunded before.....so why was told to deal with manufacturer? Just trying me? Opinion of their attitude in general is rude and not respectful of customers. Will not be back and don't think they'll last as on this and previous visits to this store..you see a vacant parking lot and no customers. read more

As Darren S. nicely put it, Miami's customer service is often nonexistent and quite rude to say the least. Going to Ace Hardware in Brickell is a completely different experience though. The team members are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I feel good vibes and good energy from the people there. In particular, Carlos is fantastic. He really knows his stuff!! Every time we have gone in he has helped us choose the best product. We just got back and he helped us pick out energy efficient lightbulbs that are going to save us some $$$ and are even brighter than what we had before! I needed some dirt for some plants I had and really didn't want to sit in the traffic on 8th street to get to the Home Depot. I crossed my fingers and headed over to the new Ace in Brickell hoping they would have what I needed. Let me tell you, this was the BEST costumer service experience I've EVER had in this area. For some reason, businesses in Miami think they're doing you a favor when you visit their establishment. From the second I walked in, I felt like the employees truly wanted to help me. I was greeted by the lady at the register and asked by the gentleman up on a ladder if I needed help. I told him he could just point me in the right direction, but he insisted he would help. He assisted me in picking out the right dirt and even carried it to the front for me. While I was waiting for the lady in front of me to finish her transaction, I looked at some paint samples. Another employee asked me if I was planning to do some painting. I told her I was thinking about it and she mentioned they would be having a paint sale Memorial Day Weekend. Why thank you, I'll be back in May ;) After completing my purchase, another employee walked me out and helped me get the bag of dirt into my car. I give this place a BLAZING 5 stars for their friendly attitudes and their helping nature. If only all businesses would take a page from their book. read more
