Something I absolutely hate as a consumer is walking into a store and, before I've even taken two steps inside, someone is already asking if they can help me. While it might seem polite, my experience has taught me that when they bombard you like that, it's either because they're watching you like a thief, or they're desperate for you to leave because it's a holiday, they're closing, or they simply don't want to work. Every time I go to this Ace Store in Brickell, it is a different issue. I went yesterday and the same thing happened. As soon as I walked in, someone asked, "How can I help you?" When I explained what I needed, the employee's expression immediately soured. He looked angry and led me to a line where he called over another person who had no idea what I was talking about. That person called someone else, who then called a third person. That third person was the only one who could somewhat help, but within three minutes, he became visibly annoyed. He wouldn't listen to my explanation, ignored me, and kept looking away. When he finally understood what I needed, he made a bunch of excuses, claiming the store didn't carry it or that the item didn't even exist. In reality, it does exist and they do carry it, but he actually recommended I go to their rival, Home Depot, saying they had more variety. It is shameful that a store like Ace Hardware , which is filled with such a great variety of high-quality merchandise, hires such depressing, disrespectful, and lazy people. To make matters worse, I have to go back and return the part now because the man didn't listen to me and gave me the wrong item. When I went to pay, the cashier was too busy chatting with a coworker to notice me. She just handed me the item and the receipt without even offering a bag. When I said thank you, she didn't even respond; she just kept talking to the other employee,I I stopped at the door and said "thank you" again very loudly. The man she was talking to started laughing, and she finally said, "Oh, thanks, you're welcome, honey," only because she was embarrassed. It is honestly depressing. With so many people needing work, hiring such ridiculous, difficult, and unmotivated people is a huge disappointment. Ace Hardware Brickell literally sucks! read more

Good neighborhood hardware store. The employees are helpful and friendly. You pay a premium to shop there, but that's pretty much every store in the neighborhood. They were quick to help me return an item as well, so bonus points for that. read more

Small store but very attentive staff. Came in during covid times and everyone was wearing a mask. The staff was fast to greet you and help you navigate the store. It was great to have someone available to help you and not have to wonder around for hours trying to figure things out, like every time I go to Home Depot LOL. The staff was friendly and bilingual. The store was clean and following precautions during pandemic. My time inside the store was minimal due to the great customer service. I am not sure about the prices but the convinience of being in the Brickell area and having their own parking space for customers was great for me. I found the items I need it and got home quick. Key copies, nails, spray paint, and bathroom hooks... All things I've purchased from this Ace Hardware! I live in Brickell and there's not a Home Depot in the neighborhood. I was pumped to find this store so close. While compact, they have pretty much everything you may need for simple home projects. What stands out most? Everyone is REALLY helpful. While I tend to prefer to look like I know what I'm doing in hardware stores, nine times out of ten, I'm heading here for something specific so I bite the bullet and take the help from the friendly staff when offered. They know where everything is and are eager to help. To top it all of it, there's a parking lot out front which makes it super accessible. I'm happy we have a shop like this in Brickell! A big guy that works there talking loud always with his employees screaming around private convos NOBODY wants to hear . Opened 10 months ago in the Brickell area. I visited the location because it's closer than other hardware/home supply stores and I was short one spray paint can for a home project. Unfortunately, like most other businesses in the area (i.e. Publix, Walgreens, etc.), the majority of prices are inflated and not competitive. For example, one matte white spray paint can with primer and paint that I had previously bought at a local Home Depot for $2.69 cost $5.86 at this location. I needed about 12 cans, so the price difference does add up. The staff at this store was friendly. Unfortunately, after explaining what I was looking for and my project, they recommended an Ace spray paint can that was cheaper than the $5.86 brand. I bought two cans and was happy. I saved some money :-) It turns out, this Ace brand was not compatible at all to what I had started using in my project. So, it ruined the section of my work that I had almost completed. :-( I went back to the store and explained this to the gentleman at the cash register and I was refunded for only one can because I had already opened the other. While I'm explaining my situation, another cashier explains to me what happened and the difference in spray paints. All I could think was, "Where were you an hour ago?" Anyway, I will be going to Home Depot to buy one more spray paint can to correct the damage caused by the Ace brand. Live and learn. Live and learn. read more

Everyone was so helpful and even in the pouring rain, a staff member helped me carry out our stuff. The next day I called to see if they had a certain product so they went to put their eyes on it before coming back on the phone to ensure they did. I showed up at ACE hardware at 7:53 pm (Ace Closes at 8:00 pm so I was cutting it close). I asked the person who greeted me at the front door if it was too late to get paint and this fellow rolled his eyes into the back of his head as if I was asking him to give up his first born. I told him it was not yet 8:00 at which he replied "I can help you if you are you looking for plain white paint"... I told him I did not want to inconvenience him and left. Now I know it was not optimal for me to show up that late but with the unexpected detours and road closures on 2nd Ave. in Miami it could not be helped... regardless THE STORE WAS OPEN! In the past week I have dropped approx. $1,200 in this store on a paint project, but due to this man's horrible demeanor, I will never step foot in this store again. Message to Ace, stop spending money on advertising and redirect the funding to teach your employees basic customer service. read more

This store has a weird policy where a vast selection of their products are non-returnable (not even for store credit). Fully aware that people will only go there for convenience purchasing but I have the impression that what the store is doing is borderline ilegal. Also, prices are ridiculously high. I've lived in Miami for 3 years and this store has been my go-to. They have always been able to provide me with the exact replacement or advice on how to adapt an item. My condo is over 15 years old and beginning to show it's age. My latest dilemma was replacing a broken shower light cover. For a mere $18 they replaced my broken cover with an even better solution. It's great to have such a competent staff working to solve my problem. They are like the good old days of hardware stores. read more

I just left the store completely satisfied with the above average service performed one of the clerks by the name of Bryan. He not only cut me a spare copy of a key but he went ahead and explained the differences between the original key and the copy. He assured me the new key would work. I just tried it out and it did. The staff is trained to immediately greet you the minute you walk in, they probe for what you need and by the time you get to the area where they route you... someone is there to help you.
