The only thing was that Thomas Exchange tended to have its branches located near main rail stations, which meant that, until this year, it didn't have a branch open in Canary Wharf, which didn't work so well for those of us who tend to work long hours out here in the Docklands. Thankfully, Thomas Exchange spotted a gap in the market, and opened up a branch here in May. Its location at the "other" side of Canary Wharf tube station may not be too convenient (i.e. the side that doesn't lead to all the shopping places) but it's not too hard to get to as long as you're walking overground. Just one last thing: remember to book your exchange online so that you get the best rate possible.

The jerk Muhhamed which probably smells his crusty farts behind the glass booth added a 15% commission without consent and gave me a folded receipt. He acted like he was really helping us out and I dropped my guard...Im sure karma will get the best of him. Horrible first experience on dealing with a currency exchange company. When I pointed it out he said no refunds and pointed to a tiny sign at the corner of the counter that said there was a 15% commission but while I was in line I overheard him telling customers that they were not charging commission. I even found a receipt on the counter to point it out to him. The exchange rate was horrible too but I needed money. I emailed the company but no response. I figured there a heartless corporation takin advantage of first time travelers and elderly people.

As I read all the other reviews my blood has literally gone cold and I feel nearly physically sick…read more My story started on the 26th of November 2012, where I was searching for 2 tickets for flights to Nigeria for the 23rd of December. I came across noble travel and called the 0207 number, thinking it was local. I spoke to a gentleman called HARRY and was told that the one way ticket would cost £525 and my return ticket would cost £990. I was told to pay a £30 deposit by debit card. The following day I was told to pay for my sons ticket which was £525 directly into the there bank account. I paid the money on the 27th of November and was told the £30 deposit was towards my ticket, however I should not pay anymore until my sons ticket was issued. I started to call nearly everyday for my sons ticket to be issued so could I pay for mine. Finally one day a few days before the 23rd I was told the Airline had blocked the ticket. So then began my journey of trying to rebook another ticket on another airline. To cut a long story short, I realised that getting my money back was a waste of time so I decided to ask them to book Virgin Atlantic I was now given a date of the 29th of December by a man called MAX I was told to pay another £290 for my sons ticket, which I did this morning I advised that I would not be paying for mine until I saw a physical ticket confirmed. When the ticke,t was sent to inbox I called up virgin and they said the ticket existed in my Sons name etc, however as it was purchased through an Agent they were limited in the information they could see. After hearing from virgin, I felt more confident to go ahead and pay the remaining £845 for my ticket. As soon as I paid I called up to inform them. However the number did not work, so i tried an alternative number. I was told the person I was dealing with was out. It seems that no one else could deal with the query. I was finally asked how much had I paid etc, I told them a total of £1690. I was told the ticket would be issued in an hour. After some time I called back Virgin, again and they told me there are reservations made with our names but no tickets have been issued that the tickes needs to be ticketed that once ticketed, I would get a number starting with '932' and that I should ask the agents for the ticketed number. When I called back the agents, I asked for the gentleman called MAX who I was dealing with and they said he will be back in 30 minutes. They asked for my name I told them and they said the tickets have been issued, I now mentioned I spoke to Virgin who told me they said they had not been issued. He said I should wait for Mr MAX who had sold me the tickets, so here I am am waiting to call back. (Once I hear back from them I will let you know how I got on) Well I just spoke to the agents again and they told me the tickets have been issued, I laughted and said thats not true as I spoke to Virgin. Mr Max said it is in the system and they would be ready the next day, I said thats a lie, because that is what I was told since the 29th of November that he needs a new excuse. I finally told him I need a ticket number and if not the tickets in the system would be cancelled. I even went as far as saying that if it is scam, just tell me at least I would stop wasting my time and move on with my life. He said He would call me back at 18:30 tonight . The journey continues..Well 18:30 has come and gone, I have called both there numbers and they just ring away. Merry Christmas I called up virgin and they said the tickets are in the system, I called up Noble Travel and this time they picked up the phone. I spoke to the Person I had dealt with called Harry from the very begining. He asked if I recieve my email confirmation I said I just saw it, He said the tickets had been issued , I told him I spoke with virgin and that though it was in the system they said it needs to be ticketed. He said my friend that it would be done the next day I replied thats what I have been told continously before, I said the airline said they will cancel the reservation soon so saying the next day is not possible, he now said that by 12 midday the tickets will be confirmed he now added merry christmas and a God Bless you. Well I called back at midday not knowing what to expect. As soon as I called I was told had I not checked my in box, so I checked my inbox. In the inbox was an Email from their office. The tickets had been issued. So I again called Virgin to check it out and this time they said the ticket had been ticketed. I was amazed and over whelmed as I thought I had lost my £1700. The truth is; I honestly felt these guys planned to defraud me and if not for God they would have. A couple of friends had been praying and I am really thankful it is all over for now. I have learnt a lesson to only use an agent I know and trust or go direct through the airline. On the whole I had to pay and extra £175 and travel 6 days later but I am grateful, I can now travel. Yes I

I was looking for arik air on google, and their link came up as arikair (possibly to draw clients in). To search for flights, my email address and telephone number was required, and I thought it's because Arik air is a african airline with their perculiar ways of doing things. when you click on search, it says you would be contacted soon. By then i knew it couldnt be Arik air. This was all late at night, so i thought i would put it off till the next day beofre searching for more flights. I was contacted by noble the next day and called over 20 times within an hour. I noticed a persuasion to commit even though I was on and about and didnt have access to a computer to verify the flight itinerary. Going with the flight figures I was told on phone and an agreed dates i requested i paid a deposit of £200. Only for me to check the itinerary to discover that the my departure date was a 2 days out. In addition to this, their maths just didnt add up. They claim their is a 3% charge for paying by credit card, but when u r sent a link to complete payment its a few ££s over. This sends alram bells ringing on the whole authencity of the actual flights and the company. Their agents are typical asain men with egos; shouting down at me to listen to him, quick to lose their temper on their customers and raising their voices as if they were scolding a child. They have a non refundable cancellation charge of £100 (for a family of 4). I went for that option rather than stand their behaviour. I know this would be a norm for their business and they experience such everyday with their clients, but if I can save on person for this fradualent, hard sellers then I am happy.
