I personally thought the reflexology side of the massage was the better part of my 1 1/2 hours. 45 minute foot massage was awesome. I asked him to work on my calves too and he did a good job. The ending to the foot massage is different from most places, he swung my legs and hip around in circles which felt awesome afterwards. The pressure from the acupressure was on the medium to light side. I didn't leave with the usual back soreness that you get from hard handed masseuses. The back massage is in the open room area separated by dividers. It was a bit uncomfortable being out in the open room. Definitely worth the groupon, I'm not sure how much they charge retail though so probably won't see me back unless another groupon comes out. read more

I had a Groupon for 60 minutes of reflexology and acupressure. This is NOT reflexology. Reflexology should focus on specific zones of the feet, it should include a consultation about your health and lifestyle with a trained person to assess the feet and then stimulate various points to identify areas of tenderness or tension. This was NOT reflexology. This was a foot rub, a very hard foot rub, with a tub of Vaseline. There was no consultation, because there was no one there who spoke English well. Even my "Ow that hurts" with inflection did not have an impact. I guess "Ow" is not part of the universal language of "stop." Also, after being covered in a towel, the towel was refolded and put back on the chair for the next client. I had a short massage on a table in the front lobby. The liner for where you place your face was changed (Bounty towels) but the sheets that were under me were not. The towel that was over me (I was fully clothed) was also refolded and put back on the table for the next person. Save your money. read more

I've been back a few times since my initial review. I've had the same masseuse each time until tonight - it was a woman instead. She did a great job as well, though not QUITE as well as the man. I'm still a fan. However, when I was leaving, she asked me for a tip, which I find offensive. I was planning to give one anyway (and still did) but she shouldn't ask. The place is clean and I don't recall any rudeness. Maybe some language barrier type stuff, but that can be expected. Generally, an okay place. I do want to point out that you aren't getting a solitary experience if you are getting a foot spa treatment. You are seated next to others getting the same thing. This wasn't an issue for me during my visit, since I was the only one. They do provide massage as well, that might be more private. I've only been here once, so keep that in mind. read more

I had the Google offer for 29 bucks for an hour, which was half hour of foot reflexology and half hour table massage. I went with a friend and first we went into a two chair room and covered with a blanket during initial foot soaking. It was a pretty vigorous foot massage, extending to the calves. Typical of what I have gotten on trips to Asia. Then, moved to table, face down for shoulders, back and arms. Both of us ended up with that groggy I-want-to-sleep feeling one gets after a good massage. The website offers a 20% off coupon and prices are reasonable. It is a bit of a drive from home but I will go back. They do try and get you to buy tickets/coupons afterwards but while they are offering the 20% off, not sure I see the point in buying. IMHO. Fabulous traditional Chinese foot massage! The ambiance in the spa is calming, centering, and very pleasant. In the reflexology massage room there are three treatment chairs, so you can come and get a treatment with your friends or family. This is the first place I've found since my trip to China where I could get the traditional foot massage. I immediately bought a book of treatment tickets. Warning: a half hour is not enough. People here are polite and nice. However, if you want a good massage, DO NOT go there. We went there once with coupon deal for 90 min. massage. However, both of us felt it is the worse/less massage we ever had. Basically, they just lightly tough your feet and not sure what they are doing. My Kid can do a much better job than them. If they want better business, they has to train and have better masseuse. read more

If you're after a foot massage then it's ok. If you want a decent, relevant, restoring back massage, look elsewhere. I've never had a massage where I had to keep my shirt on, you just don't get anything out of it. Came bc of a Groupon and a much needed date night with my husband. I had the lady masseuse he had the gentleman masseuse and we were in separate rooms for the body massage which was AMAZING!! Some points were tougher than others but very relaxing afterwards. The foot massage made my husband squirm because he was so ticklish but I thought it felt fantastic and both are masseuses were laughing we had a good time. We came on a Sunday afternoon and nobody else was in the shop which made it even better. We will return soon and often! read more

I go for a massage to relieve stress not be stressed out. My fiance and I made an appt for 1 hour massages since she purchased a discount card and had two massages left. We arrive and are told that that they cannot honor the card because now there is a sheet of paper on the desk saying that gift cards have an expiration date which varies depending on whether or not you purchased it before 10/31/12. Mind you this paper was not there the last time we were nor does it have a date listed on it. They were not able to determine when my fiance purchased the card (the book they had only went back to December) and there was no expiration date listed on the card itself, yet the staff just treated us like the card was expired. They gave us an email address and said we could email the owner and then come back after we worked it out with them. We had to push them to call the owner and they finally spoke to the owner who was "in her car" and we were asked if we could wait for 30 min until the owner got home and could look it up. We asked if we could just get the massages we scheduled and by the end the owner would have had time to look it up and we could address it then but they would not go for it. They eventually offered us 30 min each and then they would talk to the owner and at that point we just walked out. I could go on but the bottom line is they truly do NOT understand customer service and this place is not worth the money. There are way too many options in the area with cleaner facilities, better massages and most are the same price if not cheaper. Most importantly all of the other options have better customer service! Massage was good in this place...but the walls are thin and the woman (either at the front desk or in the room next door, Joyce?) talked nonstop. So loudly. Nonstop. I couldn't relax or stop listening to her voice. It was awful. And the other worse things ever is a creepy massage. I got an older guy with glasses working with me. He gave a very ROUGH THAI message when I had scheduled a DEEP TISSUE massage. The front desk said "You should have said something". But you know when you're getting a bad massage you just keep thinking "it'll get better". Was I really going to sit up 30 mins into the massage and say "are you only doing Thai massage on me? I asked for Deep Tissue." when it's obviously he's more of a Thai massuse? I don't know maybe that's my fault but I feel like that should be handled at the front desk before you go in the room - don't blame it on the client - once I'm in there all I want to do is relax. read more

I purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute reflexology treatment. I had only had reflexology once before, and it was an okay experience, just like this one. This experience could have been a whole lot better if not for just a couple of things. One, my reflexologist is a smoker. It's very unpleasant when you're spending 90 minutes with someone to smell smoke, especially when this should be a calming, relaxing, experience. Two, if massage is your primary business take care of your hands. This persons hands not only smelled of smoke, but they were quite rough. Three, when I tell you once I don't like a lot of pressure, it becomes annoying when I have to tell you the same thing three times. His English was limited, but if your business is dealing with the public, learn some English! Even more annoying is that a massage shouldn't leave me sore for the next two days because you used too much pressure. The person almost redeemed himself during the foot massage. He did a great job and it was a great experience, and then he ruined it at the end by rubbing the cream off my legs with hot, scratchy towels. No soft, thick, luxury towels at this place. By the time I left, I was not relaxed or rejuvenated. read more

I found this place from the website and tried home service. I considered the service wasn't excellent but was ok since the price was very reasonable. However, the very next day, they decided to raise the price for home service & reduced the coupon discount without any notice. Their reason was because more people were interested in home service. I am little disappointed by how they are running their business and hopefully I will be able to find a better place I can use where they are royal to the customers little more. read more

I left this place so beaten and bruised, I would never go back. The guy who worked on me was so rough that I felt like screaming out in pain most of the time. He was also very rushed, which took away from the relaxation of the experience. The guy was sniffling and snorting the entire time - the opposite of relaxing sounds. When he finally did blow his nose, he went right back to touching me without even washing his hands or using sanitizer. Gross! read more

We had the 60-minutes foot massage which is 1/2 hour foot massage and 1/2 hour table massage. It is not fancy, but is clean, relaxing and affordable. I would highly recommend. read more

Massage is very individual. I get massage to assist my recovery from exercise work outs and have had many massages at many different places. I love the foot massage part often falling asleep and it reportedly affects all parts of the body. The back (table) massage seems more functional to me and I am able to explain a particular sore or injured area and the owner directs the masseuse to help circulation for repair to that. The masseuses and owners are very knowledgeable and if you should let them know your goal. I would recommend giving it a try. read more

I had a really bad experience. Here is what happened. I purchased a Groupon for 60 minute reflexology and acupressure for two and when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist who hardly spoke English said to cancel my Groupon because they are charging them high fees. She said to call them back after cancelling the groupon purchase. I was on the phone with Groupon Customer Service for 40 minutes - no kidding there! After I cancelled the groupon. I called Ace Spa and made an appointment for me and my husband for 1:00 PM on Sunday. We go there on Sunday at 12:50 PM and the place was closed. Hours listed on the door were 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A lady walked over to us and said her appointment was at noon. She called the spa and the owner answered and said they were stuck in traffic and will be there shortly. They had no courtesy to call their clients to let them know they are running late. They finally got there at 1:15 pm and again no apologies whatsoever. Now there were 3 of us waiting and two masseuse (owner and his girlfriend). The lady who had a noon appointment was waiting for almost 2 hours...they had to finally call another masseuse who came around 1:40 PM. We finally got our massages done and I went to pay and the lady was like we don't take American Express. Their website clearly list American Express as an acceptable method of payment. Anyway, not a big deal, I gave them Visa. Two weeks later I went online to pay my credit card bill and I saw two charges from Ace Foot Spa for the same date...they charged me twice. This place does not know how to do business - no customer service. There are better spa places in Montgomery county. This is by far the worst place I have ever been to. I've bought several groupons for a 60 minute massage (half massage and half reflexology). The first time I went, I really liked the lady who gave me a massage. I called ahead of time to ask for her, and every single time they would say yes and then I'd get there and get a different lady who I found to be too rough. I told them I had called ahead of time to ask for the first lady and tried to ask nicely if I can book an appointment.They just stare at me blankly like they don't understand what I'm saying. Then I've been told "next week" or "go to lake forest mall"? I'm sorry, but that's pretty rude! I've had several difficulties communicating with them and it's just too much of a hassle...it makes me feel more stressed out! I would say the massage is good, but the vibe is not welcoming for me and it makes a big difference. Plus now I read the reviews of people saying they don't change the towels or the sheets under you...I'm not a fan! read more
