They have a huge TV one can watch while waiting for your clothes, along with a self-serve Keurig with several varieties of coffee. Luckily, they open early. Ace Dry Cleaners is the best dry cleaners in the Napa Valley that I've encountered so far. The customer service is friendly, attentive, and accurate. They have great hours of operation, but if you happen to come when they're closed, they have a secure drop off bin complete with bags. Also, if you request, they'll give you a big nylon bag (with a name tag and your cleaning preferences on it) to take home so that when you have stuff to drop off, you can just drop it and go, and not have to wait. One of the biggest advantages that Ace Cleaners has is that their plant is on premise. A lot of the other cleaners in Napa have to send the work out, and that affects the turn around time. Because of this, Ace Cleaners has the only reliable 24-hour turnaround service I've encountered (and I've used this service, too). No dry cleaner is perfect, and occasionally I'll have something that needs to be redone (usually a crease gets pressed into someplace it shouldn't). The customer service is completely hassle free, and they do everything with a smile. Last but not least: the prices. You would think that all of this great service would come at a higher cost, right? But it doesn't! As a matter of fact, their prices on men's' dress shirts (what I spend the most money on) are the LOWEST I've encountered in Napa! read more

Ace is the best dry cleaning in town! I pass about a dozen dry cleaners on my way to Ace. The prices are reasonable, they do really great work and they have next day service if you're in a pinch. Where they go above and beyond was a particular evening before a big interview. I had dropped off my suit the day before and was running late getting back to that part of town. Just minutes before they were to close I gave them a call and said I was running late and really needed my dry cleaning. They were able to stay an extra few minutes just for me! This was not even the owner, just one of their staff. Little things like that really go along way and tell you how committed Ace is to their customers. This cleaners lost my black 3/4 sleeve cashmere sweater. Told me they will have someone call me if they find it??? Then she says it's something that happens "more often than we would like" Not somewhere I will go again and if you care about your clothes, I recommend you don't either. Ironically, while I was in there, someone else came in to say that they were there to pick up something they had previously ruined. And while the two girls behind the counter discussing it, one of them says to the other "should I just give her some store credit, like we usually do?" They were *very* nice both times I went in. Great work. They were also close to a great & fast car wash & a few other errands I had. Their fast service & location really helped my already crazy wedding schedule. If you are in Napa for a wedding - here's your place. PS - I did use Chardonnay cleaners for my wedding dress because my mother (Napa local) said they were top of the line. It cost me $200 for my silk beaded dress? I admit the dress was absolutely perfect & perfectly hung in a long gown bag. However I could have given Ace everything. It still would have been great & saved me some money. read more

Alright so this place isn't phenomenal for a couple reasons. First reason is that they wrote my last name on the tag of my dress shirt. I know of some other places that do this, but all of them asked if it was alright; it's called courtesy. Yes, you won't be able to see it, but I just don't like the idea of ink on my dress shirts. Second, I had specifically asked them to re-sew a button and they didn't do it. Come on guys, pay attention to your customer's needs! I was sooo surprised at how quick and easy it is to get stuff dry cleaned here! Easy three steps: Phone number, washed or dry cleaned and the day you need it by. The staff is super nice and helpful. Their prices are the lowest I've had than any other dry cleaning place in town. No gross chemical smell! We've been using Ace for about two years. They are very good for wash and fold services and basic dry cleaning of sweaters, at a good price. I brought in a cross stitch project which I had spent many hours making, but had accidentally smudged in the process. I was very worried that the colors would run if cleaned. Earlier this year, I brought in a cream-colored J. Crew Italian wool crepe dress that I wore to a formal holiday party. The dress was fully lined and had a short slit in the back (about four inches from the end, which fell at the knee). I had inadvertently torn the slit a few additional inches while I'd worn it, so in addition to needing the dress cleaned, I also needed the slit stitched up. When I picked up the dress, it was clean, and the back of the dress looked tidy. However, upon turning the dress inside out, it was clear that the lining of the dress was still torn and hadn't been touched, and the outer layer of the dress had been sloppily stitched up. I had not given them any sort of time requirement (and, in fact, when I dropped it off I had told the woman at the counter that I wouldn't need the dress any time soon, since I wouldn't be able to wear that shade of cream again until next winter). I asked them to fix the tear in the dress, and they simply didn't complete the job. The work lacked integrity. I'm disappointed in the work ethic of Ace Cleaners, and I will not bring clothing back here again. read more

PREPARE TO BE DISAPPOINTED!!!! My boyfriend and I have used this place 3 times. EVERY time we have had an issue. The first was an honest mistake. I had asked for a rush cleaning (same day pickup) and it was entered incorrectly which made it unavailable for same day. It was given to us immediately the following day which was free of charge. (Very nice considering the inconvenience) The second time they had "lost" a uniform shirt only to find it several days later...how does a professional business loose its clients clothing???? The third (and final) time was today. (Our fault for giving it one last chance). We had asked for a uniform to be pressed and pleated. The woman who took the order seemed to understand well enough, but when I went to pick up the uniform it was wrinkled and practically looked the same way it was dropped off. Needless to say no pleats. When asked if they could rush it and pleat it by tomorrow we were given a "sorry I don't know what to tell you but I can't help". Such terrible customer service and incompetence I wonder how they've remained open let alone gotten so many wonderful reviews. read more

5 years later this is still my favorite cleaner in napa. They have same day service if you need it, and they will deliver your clothes to your home if you would like at no charge. Also I noticed they recently switched over to a more environmentally friendly process which I respect and appreciate. To be honest in the last five years they have lost one shirt of mine, after they looked for a couple of days and could not find it, they simply asked me how much I paid for it and reimbursed me for the cost. They didn't try and make excuses for losing it, nor did they ask me to prove how much I paid for it, they handled it in what I consider a very professional and courteous way! When I was living downtown, I came here - was very impressed with the service. Every time I have been there, employees are always pleasant and friendly. Prices are reasonable. I recently moved to North Napa and tried another cleaners due to proximity - I really wish I had not done that! Service was horrible and the prices are obscene. These guys and gals are GREAT! I'm in here weekly or more, both for my own dry cleaning but also my wife's uniform. Their customer service is as good as it gets. They're super friendly and professional. In the many many many times I've come here, I believe there was only one mistake and I'm not even sure if it was my error or there's. But the bottom line was they wanted to do everything possible to get my wife's uniform finished and back ASAP! And they did! I'm not sure if it was staff, the manager or the owner but they offered to come in at like 5 or 6 am to meet me with the clean uniform. I have not even considered going anywhere else. I'd say this is the best cleaners in town, bar none!!! Every time I go in I'm greeted with a smile and a "How are you today! " My dry cleaning and laundry are done very well almost all the time! On the occasional time when things are not as good as normal they are quick to correct any issues I might have with my garments. I have never written a review but after the shockingly terrible service I received, I had to save others by making the same mistake I did. I had a tear in an old quilt I wanted to have patched up. I was going out of town for over a week, so they told me it would be ready by the time I get back, right? Wrong. They write down my number and promise to call when it gets there. That doesn't happen either. When I do get there, it takes them 20 minutes to find it. I'm confused, the place doesn't look that big, and if it just came in, methinks you would know where it is pretty easily. After standing there like a jerk, no sorry for waiting, no apologies for it not being ready when they said it would, they tell me how much it costs. $42. Are you kidding me? I nearly lost it. This is an old quilt, it's nothing special, and it is a simple patch job. That's it, sew one piece to the other piece, Christ, I can take a six month class on sewing for less that $42. I can go on YouTube and LEARN for a lot less. I was disgusted. In short, Thank God there are so many other places to choose from, because I wouldn't waste my time, or my money on this place again, and I strongly recommend no one else does either. read more

this is my first yelp review and I probably would keep to never writing one if this place suck so badly. I went to ace 3 times to bring in my white button down work shirts. All three times they had not finished the shirts in time and I had to come back either an hour or even a day later (this does not include the 20 minutes you have to wait for them to even find the status of your ticket/items). On top of that, after the second time I went in my boss told me that my shirt didn't look ironed (this was 30 minutes after picking up my shirt from ace and only wearing it for about 5 minutes). Today was the last straw when I came in to pick up my shirt that was supposed to be done the day before (but wasn't) and they had upped the price from $2.75 to $6.45 because it was a women's shirt instead of a men's, meaning I ENDED UP PAYING MORE FOR MY SHIRT TO BE DONE A DAY LATE & FOR BEING A WOMAN. The staff sat there silently and didn't even have the decency to give an excuse or sympathy when I explained this logic. The woman literally wouldn't even look me in the eyes when she just took my card from my hands and ran it, during which I told her that I was never coming back again because of all these dilemmas. When I was leaving she muttered, "well we have the cheapest prices in town." This was the worst service of my life. read more
