Ace Cash Express is worthless trash. Been going there to cash my checks and load the money on my Ace Flare & now Metabank card since last year in anticipation of loading my upcoming commission solar & home remodeling company checks that I've been patiently waiting to receive after training in that industry for over a year. I finally got my first check this afternoon and was so excited! So I went straight to the Ace in Glendale on San Fernando road to cash my check so I could order a Mother's Day gift online in time to reach my mom in Apple Valley by Sunday and they didn't cash it. The owner of the company was even there with me because he had just dropped of my check at my house and went with me to Ace. I've cashed company checks there for other things and it is the same exact company and contact information. The phone number on the check is the business phone number which forwards to the business owner's cell phone who again, was waiting for me in the parking lot. I called him inside and he explained that to the cashier, but the cashier very condescendingly said to me after the owner walked back out "we can't cash the check because it looks suspicious since the owner is here." So if the owner would've stayed in the car and the cashier would have called to confirm with the owner WHO WAS OUTSIDE it would have been ok if the cashier wouldn't have known he was outside or seen him? Idiots. You had one job Ace - I'll be opening an account at Chase tomorrow and cutting up my Metabank card tonight. I've cashed checks from my company and many other places there before and go there regularly and had pride in not using the main banks but this was embarrassing, insulting, maddening, AND YOU RUINED MOTHERS DAY FOR MY MOM. Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I went to this location to get a copy of my money order, but none of the clerks wanted to do it. When I told them that I researched and they should be able to do it because they are moneygram authorized agent they repeatedly told me off and said that they dont have access to money gram's system, which was a lie, because I called the money gram and their representative told me to pass the phone to the "Ace cash express" agent and explained to them how to do it. They didn't want to do this process and instead of helping me, instead of calling money gram for help, they asked me to step aside and refuse service to me. During this process the two clerks spoke to each other in their language not English! Worst ace cash express I been to. My go to Ace is the one located in Eagle Rock. I was in the Burbank neighborhood (on a Saturday) and needed a roll of quarters. The lady there at the time asked if I was a customer, I made her aware no that I wasn't (why does it matter first of all?) she stated that they normally do not provide change to non customers but that she will make an exception this time. I was so baffled by her statement, I visit the Ace place in Eagle rock and cash my payroll checks and ask for one roll of quarters on days I'm not cashing checks and I've never heard the employees there tell me that they cannot provide me a roll of quarters, William working at the Eagle rock location never gave me customer service like the women in Burbank did, he provides the best customer service which keeps making me come back. I was so upset by her comment that I told her "you know what, I'm sorry to make you work and to cause you so much trouble for a roll of quarters" and I left. NEVER GOING BACK. read more
