We enjoyed our lunch at Ace Basin. We stayed in Charleston but met family half way to Beaufort and I found this hidden gem. The staff was nice and helpful with the menu knowledge. The fried pickles were a huge hit. Everything tasted great and seasoned well! We would go back!

I saw a sign from the road saying they had collards today and I whipped into the parking lot! Lunch was fantastic! Blackened Red Fish with all the fixings! Fish was seasoned well and cooked tender. Collards were outstanding; just the right flavor of pork kissing the tender greens! Hush puppies were sweet and made for a little dessert moment at the end of eating! Highly recommend all I ate!

The food is delicious! A pricey place but it's the only place to eat in that area. I would recommend it in a pinch if you don't want to drive to Charleston.

A special thanks to Yelp for helping us find this local gem. It's obvious with the coming and going that this is a well loved local establishment with some in their jeans and some in their Sunday finest. Nothing fancy here-scuffed Formica topped tables, fishnet adorned walls, metal chairs, but very clean and full of seemingly happy customers. The fried shrimp and flounder basket hit the spot today! It comes with a cup of creamy coleslaw and a side of your choice - baked potato, grits, green beans or crinkle fries. My baked potato was perfectly cooked and everything was piping hot. Hubs enjoyed their fried oysters and shrimp. I must say the fried oyster I tried was delish! Service was so quick and efficient we were back on the road in no time!

I rarely try a place that deserves 5 stars across the board. People leaving were telling us how good it was as we parked and recommended the fish tacos. We were seated quickly and greeted by a server shortly after that. I ordered the 2 combo plate and my husband had the Captain's platter. Everything was hot and delicious. We really enjoyed the service and food. The servers treat you like family. We will definitely come again. Everyone was right this place is really a treat.

Oh. My. Goodness…read more Marbled and Fin has secured a spot as one of my top CHS restaurants! A friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a girls dinner since she's out of state. Reservations were at 515 and we arrived about a half hour early. The hostess was an absolute doll. So sweet, personable, and helpful. She let us know they would seat us closer to our designated time but to help ourselves to a seat at the bar. Started with delicious cocktails with fun innuendos. Very strong. Lovely. The hostess came back later and escorted us to our seats - and the fun dinner service began. You receive a complimentary welcome cocktail table side - tonight was a peach gimlet. No notes! We decided to try a little of everything (thank you to our amazing waiter- he let us know serving sizes and suggesting splitting some appetizers). We had the scallops, Caesar and milk bread. I don't think there was a single morsel left on those plates. For dinner we had the wet aged ribeye with the bone marrow & salmon. Sides: steak fries, lobster Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and asparagus. The steak fries were such a stand out. Wow. never would have thought but incredible! Dessert had to be the affogato & crème brulee. Everything was Devine. The restaurant is bright and airy and incredibly beautiful. We sat at the bar booths and there was a little blonde girl who was so on top of refilling our water that it became comical. She was such a doll! Cannot say enough about her Incredible restaurant- impeccable service. Needs to be on any CHS list!

The atmosphere is calm with plenty windows for natural sunlight. Oysters were 10/10, I need to go back for more. Prime steak was juicy and flavorful, recommended at medium temperature due to the lean cut of meat. I'm a ribeye type of girl, but I was very satisfied with the prime steak. They offer a table side roasted garlic butter and the steak comes with an Au poivre that was super tasty. Eggs were perfectly cooked the way I requested. Hash brown is a patty, similar to the golden arch restaurant (haha), but less greasy and tastes like real potatoes. Oysters on the half shell were 10/10! They were from NC, I have to go back for these. Espresso martini is served in an unusually tall martini glass and tastes very delicious.

I know there's a lot of hype around Hall's, and the atmosphere there is definitely great, but in my opinion the food at Oak is better. I ate with my team, so we had a tasting menu. I ordered the fish - WAIT before you assume I'm biased cuz I ordered fish at a steakhouse - I tried my friend's steak + I got feedback from my other teammates. Butter rolls to start - these were good but not amazing. They were also burnt on the top Crab cakes - the best food of the night actually. I'd get again Sides: mac & cheese - BAD. barely any cheese... really felt like pasta with a topping of some cheese (see pics) mashed potatoes - AMAZING. I know there was probably hella butter and cream but it was still so good. a Must-try here brussel sprouts - good Entrees: Halibut with lemon risotto -The risotto was too salty and the flavor of lemon was overwhelming (yes, the dish is labeled as lemon-risotto but you need a balance!!) The prime rib - so it was reported back from my other teammates that the meat was very chewy... everyone around me who ordered it did not finish it. The cocktails/drinks were good, and again the service was stellar, but some of the dishes missed the mark.

We were seated in one of the dining rooms with moderate lighting and interesting but subtle decor. The perfect combination for a romantic evening with my wife. No phones, just conversation! Our server, Will, was well-versed on the special bar drinks available. We started with a Bee's Knees and an Old Fashioned. Both were very good. The appetizer's listed on the menu include one of our all-time favorites; escargot. The snails were well cooked, the butter was warm, and the bread served with it was wonderful. For our entrees, we ordered the filet with blue cheese crumbles along with the Cowboy Ribeye. Both steaks were well-cooked....as ordered! The filet was medium rare and the ribeye was medium. The seasoning on both steaks was perfect. The right combination of salt and pepper such that both steaks disappeared. Really good tasting beef. What you hope for in a steak house. We had a side of mushrooms with our steaks. Will said that a half order would be plenty and he was right. We ordered a bottle of St Supery Eli (a red blend) and it was great with beef. For dessert, we ordered the carrot cake. It was delicious, not too sweet....and an enormous piece. There was more than enough for two people. We had the leftovers for breakfast the next day. If you are looking for a great steak AND a great dining experience on Hilton Head, we highly recommend Bowdie's!

The mushroom risotto was delicious and full of flavor, but for me (wife), it was just a bit too salty. My husband agreed. Next time, I would definitely ask for less salt because the dish itself was excellent otherwise. We skipped dessert, but honestly didn't feel like we were missing anything after such a great meal. The live music was amazing and really elevated the entire experience. The crowd and vibe were just as good--some people dressed to the nines, while others were in shorts, flip flops, and t-shirts with ball caps.
