I ordered the fried flounder platter with a side of Mac n cheese and red rice. The fish was so flaky and crisp, not overly breaded like many other restaurants. The Mac n cheese was also creamy and flavorful. I could have gone for seconds. The red rice was delicious! The only thing I would have changed would be swapping the meat for beans. My favorite source of protein! The lovely woman who took our order I can only assume was the owner. I really enjoyed our conversation and how pleasant she was. Wow!!How to begin a review of this wonderful restaurant. The seafood is always fresh and fried with a light batter. There is plenty of main non-seafood options too. With the vegetables you could make a main course. We actually drive over an hour from Moncks Corner at least once a month. If we lived locally I don't think I would cook just so we could order food to pick up. I highly recommend Genesis L Blue Waters. They always make us feel special when we walk in the door. read more

Found this place because I was looking for some flounder and saw the pictures of rhe wings. We got there late and they were still accommodating and we did not feel rushed. They are family owned and they cook with love. The wings were crispy and seasoned well. We had the jerk rub, lemon pepper, Carolina gold and bourbon. Wife and I had the flounder platter with red rice, mac and cheese, corn bread, string beans and cucumbers and tomatoes salad. Everything was so good felt like home cooking. My brother had the shrimp platter and he loved his food as well. We will make this a regular when we are back in South Carolina. Bet places are local and in strip malls. This is one. Run by 2 sisters. Lunch, two huge flounders with hush puppies, shrimp wrap, huge tasty. This is a hidden gem of a down home cooking restaurant in Ravenel, and well worth the drive from West Ashley. This was our second trip here and again, it did not disappoint. It starts with the sweet tea..... and any of you true southerners know this. Good sweet tea makes or breaks the meal! It's a simple thing, but for some reason a lot of restaurants struggle with this. I'm happy to report the sweet tea is awesome! For dinner we had the perfectly seasoned and fried pork chops, creamy smokey macaroni and cheese, and lightly seasoned green beans. My wife had the same meal but with okra and it was also excellent. The plates feel like they are made by your grandmother; its got that type of feel to it. We left stuffed and happy. The only thing you could possibly say outdoes the food is the service. The server is one of those rare genuine people pleasers. The young woman behind the counter the owner I believe was one of the most positive people I've met in a while and if you know her story it brings it even more to light. Her and her sister run the restaurant and I will tell you we had some of the best chicken wings we've had since we've been in the south! During our vacay, we searched for a breakfast spot that turned into looking for lunch. That happens when you're having a lazy vacation day. This place featured blue crabs so we set out for the 35min drive to check it out. It's in a strip mall/plaza sort of to the back of the plaza. It's decorated with many colors in a confusing uncomplimentary way. Unfortunately, they didn't have any crabs so we suddenly felt bad about making the drive. We started out with the wings which were really good. Then we ordered the eggs and rice which was super bland, the seafood platter that isn't worth mentioning, and a low country boil with shrimp, corn, potatoes and such that was bland as well. The service wasn't the best. We had to ask for silverware, side plates, napkins, etc and it wasn't crowded at all.
