Decided to check out COD tail on a weekday night. The parking was very easy and ample and had no problems parking. Upon arrival, we placed our order on the counter and were surprised by the variety of options and the affordability of the menu overall. We ordered fried shrimp and a combo of catfish and shrimp, both came with fries and a soda. We knew it was all made to order to a delay was expected, what we did not expect was the length of the delay. There were a bunch of group orders placed over the phone before us which made our wait close to one hour. the food eventually came out, but the wait was painful . I kind of wish they prioritized in-house orders of people waiting instead of to-go orders , but so is the system. I think I will call ahead next time to make sure the food is ready when I arrive The food was good and enjoyable as was the staff who were super kind and working extra hard with the high volume orders. The decoration is nothing fancy and more of a very campy ocean theme which I personally found amusing. read more

FOOD is great... I give only 4-stars because the Glass on all the windows and doors are drop dead FILTHY. For a food establishment this is un acceptable. My bone in catfish was excellent and not the least greasy. I substituted fried rice fore the French fries and that too was one of the best i've had. The little woman (i'm a smart ass) had snow crabs with corn and potatoes....again was good and will order again . BUT...did i mention BUT....bring you own METAL lobster fork and metal cracker because the plastic made life difficult. THe drinks were cheap and refillable..... The place is basically a Chinese fish and chicken take out with some seating. Please clean those windows. I attended an event on this side of town and was looking for something new to try. This place is tucked away in a plaza. There's plenty of seating inside so we ate some inside and took some home. I saw people constantly coming in to pick up their orders which was a good sign to me. The portions were huge compared to some other places. The only thing I didn't care for was the hushpuppies. This may very much be my favorite place for fried fish, thus far. They have a nice menu with lots to choose from to create a fried seafood platter with sides. I LOVE the catfish. It's fried and seasoned perfectly. I normally pair it with the corn nuggets or fried okra. You could also select your ingredients for a boil if you wanted to head in that direction instead. The older lady has a serious attitude problem. Ordered through DoorDash over 45-50 min ago for 1 item that doesn't even have a 20min preen time that cost me over $35, dasher gets there, been there over 15 min, I call to ask if there was an issue with my order because I didn't want the dasher to leave (I'm the only one at work & can't leave) then DoorDash can't find another dasher to deliver....she gets an attitude yelling "DASHER STILL HERE".....yeah the dasher still maybe there, but if they get another order they can leave my order right there because you didn't have my food prepared on time. We had our doubts at first seeing how scarce the restaurant was, especially given the surrounding location, but I can ASSURE you: the pictures do not do this establishment ANY justice; the food looked bland and dry, BUT LAWD was it the opposite! We purchased the Cajun bowl for $51 and they did NOT disappoint. The shrimp was juicy and cooked with love, the crab legs were certainly worth the fight into the shell-- the meat was soft and cooked perfectly, AND THE POTATOES-- nothing short of delicious! They'd been drenched in the juice-- at the bottom of the pan along with the sausages, incredibly juicy and buttery eats, no complaints whatsoever, albeit-- all the garlic balanced out the slight saltiness of the boil, but they definitely weren't shy with the cajun seasoning. So I happened upon this place by luck. While looking for our hotel this restaurant was actually in short walking distance. We came for a late dinner and I ordered the pick two which was dried whiting so delicious and perfectly seasoned. The second item I picked was the fried shrimp which had about eight shrimp also perfectly fried and seasoned also very good. This order also came with fries and coleslaw. Every thing is piping hot and the menu is vast. I was really in the mood for cod today and the other cod place in town wasn't picking up so I decided to give this place a try. Seeing as "cod" is in the name, I expected it to be decent. I ordered for pickup and the girl on the phone was very friendly as was the same when I picked it up. The place is in a fairly rundown shopping center but I still had high hopes. I was unfortunate let down. While the food was hot, that's where the pros end. The cons were that the fries were over fried, the tarter sauce was in a packet instead of home made and the worst was that the fish was bland and tasted like it had been frozen for too long. They have menus by the front door so you can view before going in, but they also have huge digital menus above the counter for you to look at. I was craving tilapia and wanted the #1, so that is what I ordered. Their Coke machine wasn't up and running yet, but that's ok because I prefer Pepsi. I chose the sweet tea instead. The food was made fresh and after no more than five minutes, my food came out. The to-go box was jam packed with goodness. Under all the food and paper, was a slice of fresh rye bread, that I used for half of the tilapia and some tar-tar sauce. The tilapia was flaky, cooked to perfection, and had a light sprinkle of salt on it after it came out that made it extra tasty. The wings were very good too. Nothing fancy, just little wings with big flavor. I finished this meal full and ready for a nap, but I had to head back to the office. Sauces are all pre-dispensed, so you can grab what you need on the way out without touching anything that other customers may have touched. Service was wicked friendly. When I got home I was disappointed to find out they were both TOO SALTY to the point of unhealthy. Can't do that! Hopefully they'll get enough complaints and adjust the seasoning. I tried their food on Thursday with just a simple order of fried shrimp to go along with some alfredo I had earlier...lol it was seasoned well. So I went back on Saturday 11/21 I bought 4 wings with shrimp fried rice an order of fried shrimp. Nothing special I had the fried catfish diner. the breading was good and fried crisp but the fish itself was slightly under-cooked. The french fries are the kind that are coated in some starchy covering that comes out crispy but full of oil. Coleslaw off tasting and sweet.
