Service price and accountability were NOT good. Almost $200 to walk in the door, then the clock starts at ~ $175 for any part of the first hour. This was a relatively new steam generator that they installed. Tech quoted me a new unit at ~$2500-$3000. While the tech was here I went online and found a replacement unit for ~$1200- and it was their own website. I have never felt so ripped off. Without question, the worst experience I have ever had with a service company. I have lived in Chicago for 14 years and this company has achieved the crown of incompetence. My very good plumber suggested I use Accurate to fix a jet in my Jacuzzi tub - so I called and they arrived. The service call was extraordinarily expensive - the technician used a saw to remove part of the plumbing - and took it with hi,. I was told I would have information within five days about a way forward. 9 MONTHS LATER I had to repeatedly call them - and they were not able to offer any solution. NO SOLUTION. The broken piece was returned to be via the service manager who had to hand deliver it as their server was "down" and not able to access UPS. I would warn anyone against doing any form of business with these people. This outfit deserves to close. read more

I recently had an issue with my Kohler steam generator, and reached out to Accurate Industries for their assistance. Lorraine Barth was extremely helpful throughout the process, and sent a technician (Dylan) to my home within a few days. The issue, unfortunately, was that the steam generator was leaking on the inside, and damaged the circuit board. It was unable to be repaired. Thanks to Lorraine and Dylan, Kohler agreed to sell me a new unit at a 50% discount. I should point out that Kohler was hard to deal with as a retail purchaser, so I asked Lorraine if she could assist, and once again she was very helpful in getting Kohler to cooperate with me directly. Dylan just completed the install today, and I have nothing but positive things to say about Accurate Industries, and their willingness to "go the extra mile" to help out a customer. Our technician, Mark, came out initially to diagnose the problem. Our house is just 7 years old, but the steam shower stopped working within 6 months. We finally decided that it was time to try to fix it. We were actually worried that it stopped working due to a more serious plumbing problem and we did NOT want to open walls. We have had a few plumbers out to look at it and that always proved hopeless. Anyway, Mark came and he was extremely professional, and he was also confident that it could be fixed without tearing our house apart. It turned out that the unit we had was discontinued and Mark let us know that Kohler would actually sell us a brand new unit for 70% off (even though our unit was no longer under warranty). Soon after the new unit arrived (Kohler shipped immediately), Mark came back to install it. The first unit was installed sloppily so Mark fixed all of that, and, to our utter shock and amazement, our steam shower works again!! The installation was painless and quick. I purchased a Mr Steam unit from this company, approx 20 yrs ago, it worked great. I needed my current steam unit replaced(different house) and called them. Spent $1700 to install a unit in a standard bathtub size space. I have NO steam. They say, steam is clear. Yes, it does get hot, but I can easily read a book in there. There's NO steam, no moisture. Their answer, that happens sometimes! I intended to purchase a STEAM sauna, I got a hot sauna, paid for steam and didn't get it. If you want steam, try Consumers Supply, Lake St., Chicago. If they had 0 stars, I would choose that. I have jetted tuns in my house that need repairs. They came and charged for an estimate. The quote for estimate was less than they charged (mom waited for them). It took over one month and lots of emails to get the $70 over charge refunded. They also said they could not get to motor that I would have to hire someone to cut heating duct and remove drywall before an accurate estimate. My brother got down there and removed the motor, they could not get to in less than 20 minutes. I order the part online, not knowing what issue was (cheaper than their service call). Brother put part in and all works fine. Imagine they could not get to part, really!!! STAY FAR AWAY!!! Extremely unprofessional. I wish I should have read this and not took a referral from a plumber to call them. Needless to say I will call plumber and tell them about this experience as they might not to refer people here! read more

Had a broken steamer console and called the manufacturer, who recommended Accurate Industries. I contacted Accurate Industries and set up a time for them to come out to service the unit. I took off work, waited at home and they never showed up at the planned time. I called them (they did not call me) to see what happened and they said that they had an emergency steamer issue at a local health club and had to divert all their resources to fix the problem. They offered to set up another time so I rescheduled for the next week. Fast forward to a week later. I took off work, waited at home and they never showed up at the planned time. I run a day spa in Oakland, and my sauna went down on a Friday. I desperately needed a part, and fast. I ordered from Accurate Industries online, and then called to confirm it would ship today so that I could get it by Saturday. Mind you I'm 2 hours behind and it was pushing 5pm their time when I called. I was transferred to Dan who immediately understood the situation and said he'd look into it and call me back. 5 minutes later Dan called, and let me know he spoke to the shipping department, and not only assured me it would ship today, but also specially arranged for Saturday delivery to make sure I got the part in time. I spoke to Dan for a bit, and I'm really glad I found these guys as ordering parts (if I can find them) in the past has always been a pain. We did not have a good experience with Accurate Industries. We had a problem with our steam shower not working properly. Called them ..started out great. Seemed professional and set up an appointment. Let's just say you can only pay with cash and after 3 months and 3 different appointments for a total of about 1 hour we paid over $900.00 to fix a warranted part. If you feel like having to wait extended periods of time and being held hostage and only being to pay cash (Not sure what century they are in). These are the guys for you. I had a great experience with Accurate Industries. Steve and Andy arrived promptly at the scheduled time and both were very knowledgeable and friendly. The control panel in our steam shower was no longer working. I called AI with the control panel part # several days in advance of the appointment so they brought the replacement part on the service call.The new control panel works great. Steve and Andy also inspected the steam unit and pointed out the plumber who installed the unit had never installed the drainage pipe necessary to flush the unit. I was unaware that flushing the unit was part of routine maintenance. Flushing the unit would have been impossible without any piping to the drain. Steve added a copper elbow and piping that will allow us to perform routine flushing in the future. I also tried their Steam Room cleaner and it works well. I recognize their service call may cost a bit more than other alternatives, however it was definitely worth a paying a little more for timely service (they arrived exactly on time) and completed the job in about an hour. Andy and Stever were honest, knowledgeable, provided great service as well as explaining the routine maintenance required for the unit. I will definitely use AI again. read more
