Almost 3 weeks between appointment, plenty of time to get it done. No enough room to sit in the waiting room. They dont return phone calls. They over book. As a sick patient and in pain this doesn't make patient care important.

We are finally called to the go into a hallway with chairs to be asked to wait again. An hour has passed. His eyes are tiered. Slowly he drifts in a cold waiting room. Arms crossed in hopes that his 93 pounds could blanket him with heat. I look into Dr. Choe's office where he proudly displays his life. The drawing his kids drew that brought him the most pride. The wedding pictures and the ultimate dad moment of becoming a grandparent. Every one of his patients has a story. A legacy of their own. Pictures hung on a wall. Memories of time spent with their families. Each hoping to get back to their lives. Living with circumstances that brought them here to this crowded office with one Dr. one Dr. that fills a waiting room. No respect for anyone's time but to ensure his time is well paid for at days end. I hope Dr Choe gets to read this and truly hears what I'm trying to explain. Greed is a real thing and in a city where people do not speak up can make it easy to overlook patient well fair. The story Dr. Choe reflects in his personal life is not the same as what he takes advantage of within a broken system. Look at your patients with the same respect you live your life. At the end their circumstances is what supports the life you live so well.

He didn't even bother to show up to the office one day, leaving all his appointments hanging. Every visit was rushed and his only goal seemed to be to do as little as possible so to schedule me for another visit ($$$). After months of seeing him for a fairly simple BPH matter, he accomplished surprisingly little. He refused to give me a diagnosis and now I have to start all over again with a new Urologist. A complete waste of time.

We're confident and prayerful this is the right decision. Thanks Dr. Hung and staff for your commitment to your field and ensuring your patients are top priority in every aspect. We feel safe knowing you will be the doctor performing such a critical surgery. God bless.

After getting a UTI and using the prescribed antibiotics it came back within 2 days, was put on another antibiotic and it came back again. Tried a third and sent in a culture and was told on a Monday he had an antibiotic resistant strain of bacteria UTI and it was quite serious. Mr Massey said he would make sure he put in a prescription for the antibiotic to cover him until home health IV antibiotics was set up. He said that would be either Wednesday or Thursday. Nothing was put through, daily we called their office, our pharmacy called twice and the receptionist at Dr Yamada's office said we needed to be patient. Well by Thursday his UTI got worse and he ended up in the hospital. They immediately screened his infection and put him on the correct IV antibiotic and had home health IVs for 10 days arranged for the following day. This office was nothing short of negligent in their care and follow through.

At appointment time, a nurse guy brought me and gave me a cup to pee in for testing. Then checked my bladder for urine retention after. Then waited about close to 30 minutes to see the PA i was scheduled to see. He apologized for the wait and then asked about my history and symptoms. He was able to conclude that due to my negative tests and my posture, that i was most likely having on and off symptoms due to nerve related problems. He recommended me to see a physical therapist and try a standing desk to alleviate the symptoms. A lot better than doctors that would push antibiotics/meds despite negative results. Hopefully I don't have come back here again, but I would recommend this urology center if you are having urological problems!

My dad wanted a second opinion and we went to USC Keck where the MD there wanted to take a very aggressive approach that included removal of an organ. He didn't even look at my dad or ask him questions. Back to Dr. Dikranian we told him of the opinion and he did not agree. We agreed with Dr. Dikranian as well. My dad had two procedures to get the situation resolved. Unfortunately my dad didn't take his medicine as prescribed and had to be taken to the ER. Dr. Dikranian was in communication with the hospitalist and the issue was promptly resolved. We are really thankful for Dr. Dikranian for his knowledge and his incredible bedside manner. We also appreciate his bilingual staff who make us feel welcome and the ease to make appointments.

My experience with Southland Urology and Dr. Harjiavn Kohli was terrible. If your Primary Care…read morePhysician refers you to this office, ask for a different referral. From my first visit, I felt a lack of urgency concerning my condition, and this same lack of urgency permeates the admin staff. I relocated to another state during my care, flying back twice, and needed a referral to a local urologist in my new state. That simple request took 4 weeks, multiple calls and texts. Initially, I was told that Dr. Kohli didn't make referrals. Convincing the staff otherwise was laborious. They don't use MyChart, unlike many physicians associated with Providence. This will force you to deal even more with Southland's painfully slow staff. My final post-visit summary with Dr. Kohli bore little resemblance to our conversation. It read like it was generic prostate follow-up visit text that could be used for multiple patients. Time saving for the doctor, not particularly useful to the patient. If you have the misfortune of needing a prostate biopsy, I highly recommend that you a seek a provider that does a better job with managing the patient's expectations of the procedure and pain management during the biopsy. Better yet, Google the procedure before hand (I did not), to understand that "collecting samples" means 12 of them, something I was wholly unprepared to sit through. You should also bring slip on shoes as you'll be in no condition to sit down and lace your shoes afterwards. This simple little tip would have been useful to include in the single page "Instruction Sheet" that Southland provides pre-biopsy. Also, don't expect a follow-up call from Dr. Kohli after the procedure to see how you are doing. Of course, if you've read this far, you could have predicted that.
