Clark's Mini Storage is a family-run business; I've always talked to Julie, who has always been helpful and polite. The storage lockers are generous for the price: as of Dec 2020, I pay $150 inclusivefor a 10ft x 10ft outdoor locker with 24hr/ 7 days a week access. The lockers are well designed with a roll-up door, and you can provide your own locks. Being somewhat rural, they do provide pest control, and as long as I've had my locker, I've never had rodent damage. They have also been quick to have snow cleared, usually within 2 days, so everyone still has access during the winter. The only thing that some current customers may have found bothersome is that Clark's has been harder to reach during Covid with their reduced hours. It would be nice if they had some set hours they will be on-location, even if they changed it on their voicemail weekly. However when you do reach them, they are quick to deal with any issue you have to satisfaction. They even offer discounts on long-term storage over 12 months, which can save decent money if you know your storage will be long-haul. You can also ask for reoccurring monthly payments by credit card. If you're looking for outdoor storage, then Clark's is not only a great deal, but you're supporting local business vs the US Franchises.

Five weeks later Chris Clark informs us they need to make a special unit for our Wiarton location and it will take 10 weeks. Their documentation for the building permit was useless. A floor plan and pier diagram, neither stamped by an engineer. It was becoming a nightmare to get a building permit for this US built unit. We found another Canadian made unit in Barrie ready to be delivered with full engineered documentation. (18 pages, all engineer stamped) I informed Chris and asked for a refund around July 22. The incredibly unresponsive Chris became even more unresponsive to phone calls or Emails. This modular home is for my parents to live on the lot next to mine in Wiarton. My dad turns 90 in 4 weeks and they are not in great health. Chris seemed shady from the beginning and I should have gone with my gut. You could tell he was self-centred, arrogant and doing us a favour by letting us talk to him. We want a refund of the $5000 deposit. Seems pretty simple. I'm guessing keeping deposits and disappointing customers is actually a major source of income for them.

The first time around I noticed how clean the facility was and of course being a new building was a bonus. Andrea since day 1 opening our account has been very accommodating. I left the first time for access to a facility closer to home. Though it was a drive up unit, there was far less security/surveillance and if you're anything like me, a lack of a sense of security really affects how you sleep at night with your belongings in a storage unit. As of December 2017 after being at the unit closer to home literally walking distance to my door I decided to move back to Smart Stop Oakville. Maybe it's the sense of security, but this location feels far more secure to store my stuff. As I treat this as an extension of my home like a garage, that is a incredibly important for me to trust as I have trust issues. Realistically speaking my only 2 complaints with this location is that it only has 3 loading bays and no light in my unit, but the no light is more a frustration than a complaint after getting used to a light in my drive up unit. Friendly staff, realistic pricing that isn't trying to gouge customers and carts usually always available when moving stuff in or out. I am sadly someone who has expierence with almost every location in Oakville and Mississauga. I could list pros and cons at just about every location, but this location is the first in a very long time that I honestly don't worry as much about my unit. I'd highly recommend this storage facility if you're looking for somewhere to trust to store your belongings. Go to ACCESS STORAGE!…read more After a wonderful experience storing goods at Access Storage, StorageMart 's competitor, I took a chance by choosing to store my goods at StorageMart instead. The promotion that StorageMart was offering caught my eye, and I fell for the scam hook, line and sinker. In truth, I have stored goods here before, and it was fine. This time, I have regretted it from day 1, and have continued to pay the price for my mistake everyday since. Syed is no longer an honest man. Compared to Access Storage's manager, he's awful! Syed & Abhinav have been utterly unhelpful, disrespectful & dishonest throughout my short time at StorageMart. They scammed us & rented a unit that was missing 30 sqft of space! When we measured & approached them about it, the excuse given was that the dimensions of any drive up unit "INCLUDE THE BRICK AND STEEL FRAMING OF THE BUILDING" ! (I called head office and was told in no uncertain terms that this was an utter fabrication). Even if that absurd policy had been true, the measurements for the unit we paid for were still out significantly. When we measured the space, the correct measurement ended outside of the unit in the driveway, meaning that the actual unit size (counting the brick and steel framing as though it was somehow usable space) was off by a lot. The "Heated" unit was also NOT heated, so our belongings froze, and there was no light in the unit; so even though we paid a premium for 24hr access, being at StorageMart to access things after hours became difficult and dangerous once the sun went down, due to lack of light for safety; and poor maintenance of the surrounding area. When we requested to be moved to a different unit, we were told that we could do that, but would lose the promotional rate that originally drew us in. So let me get this straight...StorageMart advertised a promotional rate for a specific size of unit, with heat and lighting. We rented that unit in good faith & then discovered that our suspicions that the unit was not the agreed upon size, were correct. Suffered damage to our belongings, and when we approached management about it we were told that in order to get what was in the contract we signed and paid for, we would be penalized by having the promotional rate stripped away. We had to threaten to call lawyers to get Syed to even consider actually providing what was paid for. No refunds or credits were ever offered, and the entire ordeal left us certain that we are NOT valued as customers by the StorageMart team. But my horror show with StorageMart doesn't end there! They seem to regularly risk the health and safety of ALL of their clients with lazy attitudes and lack of maintenance. They responded to my suggestion that they sprinkle some salt over black ice, by saying that in several hours a plow would come by & the crew "might" salt the driveway at that time (which was a completely false statement, as I personally watched the plow come through, scrape and compact snow into a more icy and slippery surface, & then leave without adding even a small amount of salt or ice melter anywhere for safety). The lack of preventative safety measures during these winter months has resulted in a call from me to the head office to protect the safety of innocent customers. After this experience, I made a simple call over to Access Storage - Fairview, and was greeted with genuine kindness and respect. I was given a great rate (that won't expire) & very eagerly made the move back to Access Storage, where I am treated like a human being and there's no doubt that my business is appreciated. I will NEVER return as a customer at StorageMart; but I may take legal action for breech of contract and negligence due to the atrocious behaviour of Syed and Abhinav. I am still so completely aghast at their unprofessional behaviour, dishonesty, and utter lack of concern for life and limb... I am truly considering contacting the BBB, Consumer Protection Ontario, the competition bureau, and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center to report their disgusting lack of integrity.

I was VERY reluctant to trust another carpet and upholstery cleaning company after the crappy job…read morethat EcoSuds did on my furniture! I had one stain that I wanted removed on a large white 'chair and a half' so I decided to get that chair along my (matching) couch and Queen Anne chair cleaned with EcoSuds to support a small local business. Thank goodness I did NOT waste my money on getting them to do my downstairs/family room furniture and carpets done at the same time because it was a COMPLETE waste of money! They not only did NOT REMOVE THE STAIN, BUT ADDED STAINS to my large white chair!! Their method left dripping stains all down the bottom front panel of my chair and I had to fight to get them to come back out but it STILL looked as bad!! The owner, Shamus told me that the original stain was the 'best he could do' after trying to 'clean' it again, and supposedly cleaned the mess made by his wife and daughter ~ which came right back after it dried! It took me approximately two YEARS to be willing to trust anyone again but my friend had highly recommended ABERDEEN so I decided to give them a try regardless of cost. I was very pleasantly surprised that their prices were quite similar to EcoSuds so I took the leap of faith and had Corey come and do my nasty looking white chair and matching couch along with 3 bedrooms. Not only did Corey get out the stain that EcoSuds said that they couldn't, but cleaned the stains EcoSuds left behind on my front panel! Aberdeen explained to me that, the reason his job was so superior to all the other companies I had previously used was because his machinery was so superior.  Apparently the machine EcoSuds brought into my house is worth between $2,000-$3,000; whereas Aberdeen has a $50,000 piece of equipment that is actually in his vehicle and all the dirt and wet gets sucked right out to that machine in the truck! Moved april 2025. Am a verified mover. Screwed up at multiple levels…read more 1. Broke my coffee table. 2. Dis-assembled the bed, but did not assemble it back again. Left the unit without informing that they won't assemble it back. 3. Made many marks on my walls causing damage to it. 4. Lost the tv stand. Did not inform that it's lost. 5. Charged for 7 hours for a job that's doable in 2 hours. Scammed me for 1100 dollars. 6. Did not complete the move even after 7 hours. I had to let them go and do the rest myself. 7. Misplaced the screws to the bed. I had to find it myself. 8. Could not move the king matress up the floor. We had to do it with neighbours help. Overall, the worst service I had experienced. Would strongly recommend NOT to go with these guys. Total scam and do not trust Jay. He could not even address these concerns and do not bother about the customer. Contact me if you need pictures of their work. I can prove that they cheat at various levels. Do not trust them.

We paid an extra fee for our penny tile. Our powder room is very small, 30 sqft. We paid $300 which…read moreworks out to $10/sqft to have Carmichael re-colour and seal our floor. Outrageous price but it was well worth it to have the floor looking fresh and clean again. At first glance the job looked great and we loved that the floors look brand new again, however upon closer inspection we noticed that the colour that was used left streaks and smears over our tiles (see pictures). As well when they were here, Mike plugged in his fan and it blew the outlet (see picture). After some back and forth he advised me to have an electrician look at it and he kindly offer to pay for the repair but to hold off on paying until we talked to the electrician. I called our electrician and explained what happened and he said that it sounds like it was the fan that was used. However he was out of town and referred me to his colleague. This electrician came out and only charged $50 to fix it and advised that they was nothing wrong with the plug, and the damage came from the fan that was plugged in. I explained this to Mike and he deducted $50 from our invoice which was paid immediately. He came this afternoon with Carla to fix the colour smears and smudges and proceeded to tell me that this is not from his product but rather from the original grout job. According to Mike the smears and smudges I saw was leftover grout smears over my tile. Talk about gaslighting. I clearly know what my floors looked like before they showed up. I assured him that I have scrubbed this floor for years and never have I seen these markings on the floor. He said that his grout colour product does not stick to tile, only grout and therefore it's not his product. I didn't want to argue with them as clearly I was getting nowhere and I just wanted them out of my house. They spent time fixing the floor but it looks the same, no change. I have no idea what they did today. Likely they realized that in order to fix it they would have to spend hours scraping off the colour. Mike is not taking responsibility for the poor job done, after we paid extra and had the hassle of dealing with the electrician and taking time out of our day to have the outlet replaced. The grout colour left behind on the floor is now our problem and we will have to scrape it off ourselves because they were too lazy to do it themselves. I know for certain that is NOT grout. The smears around the base of the toilet show that it was their product because when the bathroom was tiled 7 years ago, we tiled and grouted and then the installed the toilet, so I would like to know how the grout would show up like that on the tile if the toilet wasn't there (see pictures). This is clear evidence they did a sloppy job cleaning the product from off the tiles and that they will not take any responsibility to fix the job! They have amazing reviews which is why we went with them however we would not recommend for anything but simple SQAURE tiles and nothing intricate, as that is obviously out of their league. We contacted Mike last night to explain how unhappy we are and that we have a Google review ready to post. He never contacted us to make it right.
