While facing the daunting process of relocating 3 1/2 hrs outside of the GTA, we looked on line at…read morereviews of many places. This company stood out. We contacted the company and dealt with Amanda who was, in a word, FANTASTIC. Amanda arranged a link via phone and as I walked through my house, she asked what was staying, what was going how much help packing did we require, etc. We also wanted a 2 day move...moving everything out on one day and having it delivered the following day. Based on our needs, Amanda drafted a quote, advised us on the number of movers we'd need, the number of trucks, etc. She was bang on and an absolute pleasure to deal with. On the day of our move out, the first team (Junior, Cooper, Fabio and Adrian) arrived on time and ready to go. We escorted them through the house, garage and backyard and told them what was being moved vs. remaining items. Junior said to leave it to them and they started loading the truck. Cooper was a wiz at wrapping furniture in moving pads, Fabio arranged items to go out first and Adrian did grunt work. All four were a pleasure to deal with and were extremely careful in ensuring items were packed securely. Working as a team, they had our house emptied in about 5 - 5 1/2 hrs (almost exactly what Amanda quoted). The following day, Truck One arrived as scheduled on time with 3 of the same team members (Junior, Cooper and Fabio). They immediately started unloading. When they were almost done, Truck Two arrived (perfectly synched with Truck One going emptied). On that truck was Adrian and two new faces..,Austin and Stephen. This team of 6 had the trucks emptied in no time, putting boxes, furniture in the correct rooms all while being cognizant of not damaging anything. When done, we tipped the movers and thanked them for their efficiency. They were amazing to deal with. In reflection, every interaction we had with the staff was nothing short of stellar. You hear horror stories about moving companies and Rent--a-Son couldn't be further away from those stories. They were everything we had hoped for...careful, efficient, friendly, fast and mindful of your things. By the way, our final bill came in just under Amanda's quote..no hidden charges..everything laid out as she explained. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I didn't have a lot of stuff to move and I knew it would not take long to go from my house to the storage unit. I was quoted $615 for 2 hours and 45 minutes. The whole moving experience took 55 minutes. The company is refusing to give me back some money stating that I was charged a 4 hour minimum because that is what I signed up for. I was misled by them. I do want to say that the movers themselves were amazing. Unfortunately I got ripped off and I will never use them again.

Ahmed and his partner arrived a few minutes early which was very helpful and they worked efficiently and were very careful when handling my furniture and boxes and other items like lamps. Moving between condos means having only so much elevator time and they completed the move within the time allotted. This is truly a company that cares and is always willing to help.I had a problem with opening a couple of drawers in one of my dressers - it's an older solid wood one - and I contacted Pari at the office and asked she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She responded immediately and sent someone over to check it out the very next day. Ahmed came and examined and studied the dresser and worked until he finally figured out the problem. The problem seemed to be a result of the extra humidity in my new place which caused the wood to expand just enough to cause a issue. After Ahmed's help, the drawers now open and shut as they should. A lot of companies might just feel that once the move was complete their job was done but Great Toronto Movers went above and beyond the call of duty to help. And I should mention the pricing. The pricing is very fair and you know exactly how the pricing is structured and there are no hidden fees - something I discovered that many moving companies have - but not Great Toronto Movers. I can't say enough positive things about how wonderful Andrew and his team were! But here were some of my favorite things: * The company is more affordable than the majority of others we considered. What's more, they actually came in UNDER their quote on moving day, and lowered the price for us accordingly. * With other moving companies in the past, I have felt constantly on edge: worried that they would take advantage of us, worried that they would be careless with our stuff, etc. Andrew and his team were the opposite: they were SO kind, genuine, friendly, open, and careful! They were professional and efficient, and also truly enjoyable to be around on the day of the move. All of the movers were genuinely lovely people and did a fantastic job wrapping, protecting, and moving our furniture and other belongings. * Their plastic moving boxes are a godsend. I needed a service to pickup and deliver a large format printer to my home. Most of the quotes I…read morereceived from Yelp were too high for the task. Even the quote from Wise Move was a little on high side initially and I was reluctant to use them. Then Vladislav reached out to me over Yelp, by message and finally by phone. We negotiated terms, I set up things with the retailer I was buying the printer from and Vladislav and his partner did the pickup earlier than the agreed to time, brought the printer to my home and brought it inside and made sure it was placed properly and securely on my media cart. I have never had a moving service pursue me to get the job, and I appreciate that. Every once in a while you need to move a large or heavy piece and family or friends are not available to help. And the cost of a full moving crew is too much (one service was going to charge for a minimum of 3 hours. My job took only an hour from pickup to cart placement). This is a particular niche market that Wise Move Solutions filled for me. Once they were done they moved on to their next job, moving a piano or something!
