I "enjoyed" our trees as they grew higher and higher and their leaf canopy provided shade for our house and decks as well as home for many species of birds that serenaded us mornings and evenings. They grew to a height of over 40 feet and were starting to decay. I should have dealt with this earlier. I called several tree services and three came, gave me a bid only to walk off the job because the trees were rotting and more than half had hollow trunks. Tony from Acampo showed up, gave me a very competitive bid, showed up to do the work on time and then walked off the job due to trees being too dangerous. But unlike the other companies, he offered me the only other option; to hire a crane, do traffic control (because the only place the crane could work from would be on the busy road next to our house). Of course it was a lot more expensive but what choice did I have? So I accepted and after taking care of the permit for traffic control, reserving the crane and getting the crew together, Tony stated work on time, 30 days later. I was there when the crew showed up; I told my wife that these guys were obviously confident, professional and they all knew their jobs and acted like a well-oiled machine. Everything went according to plan. They started at 6:30 am and soon the crane was lifting sections of trees that were as big as a bus and weighed over a ton carefully over my other trees and fence to the road surface where some of the crew cut it into sections that were fed into the chipper. 4 hours later the clean up was underway. It was a dangerous project. Tony complied quickly when I asked that me and my property be named as an additional insureds on the Acampo Insurance policy and when I asked for confirmation that the crane operator was insured and that all of the crew were covered by worker's compensation insurance. When it was over, I breathed a sigh of relief. The job was handled professionally, no one was hurt and my property was not damaged. Tony had warned me that due the deterioration of the trees, several things could go wrong but his crew was on its toes the whole time and everything was handled well. I have already asked Tony to give me a bid to reduce several other trees on the lot before they reach the same level of deterioration. From the beginning he treated me fairly and I am confident that he will do so again. Based on my experience, I am heartily recommending Acampo to anyone who needs expert tree service regardless of how big or small the job is. Nelson Barry San Francisco June 21, 2023 read more

In January 2023 we had 3 large trees go down in all the storms. We had Acampo out and they quoted us over $100,000 to remove 3 trees. That's not a typo. Over $100,000. We got quotes from a few other companies and ended up getting all the trees removed for around $20,000 (still a ton of money). I'm well aware of the reality of 'surge pricing' but this is just inexcusable, and it makes me question the ethics of the company. Please beware of price gouging, especially during/after storms, and get several bids. read more

After the storm, we were in dire need of their service. Thank you Acampo Tree Service for getting us on the schedule! You all work so hard. We are very pleased, and wouldn't hesitate in calling him again for future maintenance. read more

Excellent service! Met the owner at Lowe's and was telling him that I had a tree that needed to be cleaned up. He did not have a business card on him, at the time, so I took a picture of his shirt. I called him a couple of days later and he set me up with his son. He came by the same day and did a survey on the tree and gave me an excellent price. Told me a week or 2 to get to the job, but ended up scheduling me for the following week. The day of the Job, the workers showed up on time and did a great job. It took them about 2 hours to do the job and cleanup. I have found our new tree trimmers with Acampo Tree Service and will definitely use them again on the future! read more

Acampo Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Lodi, California

We've used Acampo Tree Service multiple times at a number of properties. For us, there is no second choice. Our most recent experience was in our Lodi home. The rear yard has 3 enormous Valley Oaks, 4 Japanese Maples, a giant Olive tree, 3 Crepe Myrtle's, and a few other assorted smaller trees. Acampo Tree Service went above and beyond to protect our lawn, fences, pool, pergola, and patio furniture. Their professional, safe, and well equipped staff then climbed into the trees and did an outstanding job of shaping and thinning. Perhaps the most impressive element to their work is the clean-up. Other than the beautifully manicured trees, there is no evidence they were ever here. They even removed the leaves and branches that fell into our neighbors yards. We will not hesitate to call Tony and team from Acampo Tree Service for all of our tree trimming / removal needs. You shouldn't either. read more

City of Lodi tagged my ginormous pecan tree because it was less than 14' off the street. Six months earlier, I had called another tree service to clean up the tree; but, after promising two or three times to do the work, they never showed up. I saw an Acampo Tree Service crew working on a neighbor's trees; so, I called them. They came by the next Saturday, assessed the work, and gave me a quote. I thought that the quote was high; but, after watching the team work and seeing the results, the price was worth the result. I sent them a text when I was ready for them and they scheduled me within the timeframe that I asked. The team showed up a bit after 7:00 AM and were finished by 9:10 AM. They drive away with trucks loaded with chips and cleaned everything up. The tree looks naked; but, last time it was trimmed it produced a great harvest. Thank you, Acampo Tree Service! I will call you next time I need tree work. read more

Losing a tree is like losing a pet to me. When our fully mature plum tree died, it grieved me to have to have it cut down. We contacted Acampo Tree Service and they gave us professional service and made the process painless. They worked around a "dig safe" site and were able to remove the stump with no damage to any fiber optics or gas lines. Their crew was on time, left the site neat and clean and completed the job in record time! Thank you Acampo! read more

I used this business 5 years ago when I bought a home in Lodi. They did a fantastic job then. Yesterday I had them service a home I just bought in Clements. A crew of 7 spent the entire day on my property and did a phenomenal job. Absolutely first rate. They BUSTED ASS for me. The chief, Tony, could not have ensured better service. I want to give special thanks to an amazingly hard worker: MARIO. Thank you Mario. You pull your weight and then some. read more

I've used Acampo Tree Service in the past to trim all of our trees, but today they were trimming our neighbors tree, and a small branch came into my yard, they came and retrieved the tree branch then this crew went above and beyond and blew my whole backyard, which they did not have to do. We have never used a tree service before so due to great yelp reviews and Facebook reviews along with the Nextdoor app we booked a consultation. Kenny was prompt on coming out and giving an estimate he was very friendly and no bs. Decent price to top off a old dead rotting pecan tree and taking care of some branches from a neighbor tree that were threatening our roof. His crew were right on time to when they said they would be arriving and got to work fast answered any questions we had. They got the tree down in no time left us a little wood pile for our fire pit. They were very clean and made sure there was no mess left behind. With the storms coming they even made sure our gutter nets weren't covered in twigs and leafs. They went above and beyond to leave things better then they were before. All in all 100% will be using them for anymore trees that we need help with and would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks. read more

I have worked with Acampo Tree Service many times in the past. I had decided to prune 60 large trees on my property without realizing the amount of brush that was going to be produced. I suddenly realized that hauling away the brush would take me weeks and numerous trips to the dumps. Acampo had only pruned and cut down trees for me in the past and I didn't realize that this would also be a task that they could handle. When Tony arrived, he could see that I was overwhelmed and concerned about the amount of work still to be done. After a very fair estimate his team of two men, picked up, removed, and chipped my one acre of brush. Not only did they do a great job but they left my property spotless. Even leveling out tire impressions that their equipment made in my orchard. During the job, Tony called to make sure everything was moving in a timely fashion and after it was complete, he checked to make sure that I was happy with the work. I am very happy with the service I received and highly recommend Acampo Tree Service for any tree trimming, removal or other arborist issues. This is an excellent company that is competitively priced, provide professional services, excellent clean up, and timely competition of the work. I am very happy with their services. read more

What a awesome experience, my interactions with Tony were always met with promptness and no questions were to trivial for him. Prior to the job starting Tony contacted neighbors on all sides of our property to alert them of the trees we would be taking out (3 huge redwoods) and trimming (6 additional redwoods). They arrived at scheduled time and paid close attention to safety and of the surroundings and neighbors. All of the gentlemen working on site were courteous and cleaned up debris as they worked. Left the area clean and did a wonderful job, our trees look fantastic! read more

Emergency situation after some severe weather meant a 30 year pine had to come down within 24 hours. The tree spanned 4 backyards in our neighborhood. They were out the next morning to remove it. Price tag was steep, but honestly, it had to be done and I'm glad it was done as soon as we needed it to be and it was done right and done professionally. read more
