It's cleaned well, large and the taste is perfection. This place will be worth the drive everytime. It's in a food truck park, so finding a seat can be hard after 12 and the line can be long. Luckily we went at 11 and had no wait.

The ladies at the kiosk are so sweet and welcoming. Hans himself is awesome. A Louisiana boy by trade, and he is the real deal, and a crawfish master. Just don't shake his hand. That's like getting your hand caught in a clamp...strapped inside a vice...dudes got a grip!!! The bugs themselves are always perfect. Just the right level of spice, cooked to perfection, and always with corn and a tater. Definitely recommend the peel & eat skrimps, the sausage, and my favorite. MUSHROOMS!!! Love the Frio location and some days if you stay late enough and Hans is sold out, just hang out, drink beer, listen to some live music. So. TL;DR time. Han himself is awesome (Love the hat!!! Thank you sir). The girls are lovely. Staff is always smiling. The food is a solid 10/5. I would take into question your sanity to not visit. Rock sold 5 Stars. See you soon.

Menu was huge and ran from salads to fried seafood with a lunch menu on the back. It was delicious and lots of delicious mudbugs. Wasn't really hungry enough for a platter of mudbugs so just tried the ceviche. To be honest I didn't remember what it was. Well it was larger than I expected and so I was unable to finish it. It was full of seafood. The sauce could have used some horseradish. All and all a good find. Once we ordered our drinks which were good, same for the zucchini. Crawfish had the perfect flavor. Our waitress was friendly and attentive so that's always nice. When we went it wasn't busy. The dessert the cheesecake was good. We were told to get the bread pudding but we wanted chocolate cake. Even though it looked delicious it unfortunately was not. It only took one bite to realize it wasn't good. Husband said it had freezer burn. I took a small bite and it was hard. The flavor was like eating dirt it left this taste like when you open a fridge that's been closed for years and you get that smell from not being used and you can even taste it, it was like that. But hey 1 thing out of all the rest which was great won't keep us away. Maybe next time we will get the pudding LMFAO!

First time visit to this small and excellent restaurant…read more Located at the corner of Fry Road and Mound Road it has a restaurant seating area of about 50 and a large bar area for 20 more. The menu is short but includes most of the classics. I had the Seafood Tacos and my wife had the Chicken Mole Enchilada. The tacos were surrounded by a flour tortilla (corn is also available) with fish that can be grilled or steamed. Packed with flavor from the onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and more I enjoyed every last bite. The plate included rice, beans, and sliced red onion. Delicious My wife loved her selection as well. The serving was big enough to take home what was not consumed allowing her an extra day to enjoy the mole. We also ordered a side of guacamole which was served as a huge rounded scoop on a plank. Don't get me started on the chips we used to eat every last bit of the guacamole. When we told our waiter, Jose, how much we liked the chips he gave us a bag to take home! I had some today and they were still crunchy with a hint of salt. Now to drinks: my wife had the house Pinot Grigio and I the house margarita which I ordered frozen with no salt. The margarita had a clear lime note but did not suffer from it. All in all we agreed that Carmelita's deserves a return visit next time Mexican food is our choice.

The service is prompt and friendly, and most of all, the food arrived piping hot. That in itself was great. Everything had very good flavor, and excellent texture. From the bread, to the meat, to the veggies, it was all crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. In addition to the wonderful meal, the highlight of the evening was the key lime pie. It was a surprise birthday dessert, and neither of us believed we liked key lime pie until we tasted this. If we visit this area again in the near future we will, at a minimum, have cocktails (they were excellent), and more of the key lime pie.

I'm not exaggerating...the average age in there had to be about 83. I guess the early bird special got all the senior citizens out there and asleep. On a Saturday night, the place was basically empty by 8:30pm. After eating there, I completely understand why. The French onion soup showed up looking promising, then immediately disappointed. Zero seasoning. No salt, no pepper, just... bland broth sadness. I ordered a T-bone steak, and I've genuinely seen bigger cuts at a grocery store. Not even a nice butcher, just your average supermarket. My steak was paper thin and butchered so poorly it looked like it went 12 rounds with Rocky Balboa. I paid an extra $5 for their "coffee seasoning," and I'm still trying to figure out if they forgot it or just waved it over the plate from across the kitchen. My wife ordered the surf and turf. $109 later, we got what might be the most overpriced plate I've ever seen: a tiny portion, two pieces of asparagus, and about a tablespoon of completely unseasoned mashed potatoes. The lobster tail? Cooked so long it should've come with a warning label. We left wondering how a steakhouse could miss this badly across the board. Save your money. Buy a steak from the grocery store. It'll be bigger, taste better, and you won't feel like you just funded a very slow, very bland experiment.

My husband asked to be reseated and the hostess was so sweet and apologetic. She made us feel way comfortable about the move and then we also had a delightful server Marissa. The food was great and our guest who'd never been to LT had a great meal. TY to the staff who were very nice and hospitable. Not a lot of welcoming atmospheres in large restaurants these days. It was a great lunch and a super turn around for a rough start. Also it was hard to find your location bc the yelp address is wrong. Someone at corporate needs to google houston. Maybe ask for local help bc I didn't see this location on google either. That's a bad mistake bc people are driving thru and missing this location!! The only reason 4 stars is to get corporate moving on the address change. The map address you have is in Hempstead. That's FAR from cypress. I was actually afraid the location was closed where you are. Not a fun drive (30 min) hoping the restaurant is actually open. Marissa and the local staff are A++++ even the chef came out to check our food was good (love the brunch items!)

"OVERPRICED, UNDERWHELMING, AND LUKEWARM, LITERALLY!"…read more Despite my best efforts, and multiple promises to myself, to stay away due to poor service and subpar food, my husband and I found ourselves back at this establishment for dinner on a Saturday evening after years of avoiding it. The only reason we gave it another shot was because a coworker recently hosted her birthday dinner here, which piqued my curiosity. I will admit, they've made noticeable improvements in both food quality and service, so our experience wasn't all bad. The Positives: From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the host, who informed us of a short fifteen-minute wait, very reasonable. The ambiance was pleasant, with clean tables and inviting decor. Our appetizers and drinks were flavorful and enjoyable. We were also promptly served complimentary chips, salsa, and charro beans, which was a nice touch. Our server, Tony, was polite and professional, though his approach felt a bit robotic. There was no real warmth or connection, which made the service feel transactional rather than welcoming. The Negatives: Here's where things went downhill. Our appetizers and drinks took forever to arrive, so long, in fact, that I joked Christmas might come before our drinks did. When our main course, the $75 trio platter of shrimp, beef, and chicken fajitas, finally arrived, it was lukewarm at best and the chicken was brutally dry and overcooked. The biggest disappointment? While every other table around us was served sizzling, steaming fajitas, ours looked like it had taken a long, lifeless stroll through a graveyard before landing on our table. A cast iron skillet is supposed to retain heat, so why was our food barely warm? To make matters worse, there were barely any grilled onions served with our fajita platter. I don't know if it's just me, but I'm used to fajita platters being loaded with caramelized, flavorful grilled onions. Not this place, though. They gave us about four measly slices, essentially the equivalent of four lonely onion rings sliced in pieces. Talk about disappointment! To top it off, they forgot our side of black beans. Once we pointed it out, they brought them over, steaming hot, ironically enough. So they made sure our side of beans was piping hot, but not our pricey fajita platter? Make it make sense. For a total bill of $189, including tip, I expected better. At these prices, there is absolutely no excuse for serving lukewarm food, especially when presentation and temperature are key selling points for a dish like fajitas. Whether this was a kitchen issue or a lack of urgency from our server, I can't say, but if I were a server expecting a decent tip, I'd make sure my guests were receiving fresh, hot food. Final Verdict: Mediocre at best. This restaurant is held in high regard, yet our expectations were met with disappointment. I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're feeling adventurous, dine at your own risk. Parking is plentiful, the service is slow, and the food? Just okay. But the drinks are delicious.
