He ordered the fried shrimp with coleslaw and green beans. Both dishes were excellent! My CFS was a real sirloin; not a cubed steak. It would have easily served both of us. My salad was excellent as well with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatos, and crispy croutons. Our waitress was very attentive and asked questions about everything to ensure that the food was prepared and served exactly the way we wanted. The prices were great as our total bill was approximately $38! We thought we hadn't been charged for everything (but a check of the details told us that everything was there). Well worth the money!

The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! Even more so, dipping them golden fried sticks in Truffle Mayo... as Buford T. Justice would say... SUMBITCH. And that homemade ketchup? So good it made me want to go smack Junior's mama. We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.

I love to get the Cajun chicken pasta with the mushrooms in a creamy sauce. I like to get it spicy. So very good. My favorites though are the beef pho (PERFECT), the Kung Pao Chicken, Mongolian Beef and the scrumptious dumplings. Ok, so try ordering just six of those dumplings and see how that works out for ya! Just order a dozen, ok? They are served piping hot and are accompanied by a delicious homemade dipping sauce. The Mongolian Beef includes many delicious vegetables and the large portion is served with an equally large portion of fried rice. The service is attentive and friendly. They truly care that you enjoy the food. The interior is simply decorated. However, there are numerous lovely paintings that were painted by the restaurant owner. Such a nice touch! I have been going to this restaurant for years when passing through Idabel. Prior to COVID, AJ's had a buffet set up in addition to the menu items. I enjoyed the buffet and miss that sometimes. There were numerous Asian and American dishes as well as a salad bar and AWESOME bread pudding. However, the absence of the buffet does not take away from the experience. It's just something I personally miss. In fact, I am pretty certain they still have the bread pudding on the menu. Get that too! Of course, since I am a regular, I will certainly be back!
