Forgot to snap a photo but we are visiting the area from Dallas and this place was very very good! Did not expect it to be great but exceeded my expectations. I was like a kid in a candy store! I don't live here anymore so I had no idea this place existed. Oh it was so good!!! From the chocolates to the ice cream! The atmosphere was so cute for family outing or a cute date night they had an outside area too. Customer service was so good and allowed us to sample before we committed. 9/10 recommend! read more

We just love Italy and the closest thing we've found in town to true gelato is right here. Go and try the samples until you find one you like. Always fresh always a great selection. From chocolate to tiramisu you will find one you like there is no doubt. Grab some sushi or pizza in the same shops then come here for dessert. Sit and enjoy the atmosphere inside or out. Wow, first local coffee/ chocolate and gelato shop I found in town. Owners are super nice!! I am sooo amazed how they crafted their gelato! You may sample them too. I personally loved the toasted almond and espresso flavors! I also tried their chocolate covered bacon and it was amaaaazing! I need to go back and try their coffee as well! I was traveling through and searched on Yelp for top coffee places in Texarkana. This was rated #1, so I decided to stop by. I'm so glad I did! I was greeted so warmly upon walking in! The owner suggested trying their Gelato Latte (their specialty). A regular latte but you can choose any flavor of gelato to add in....and they have several amazing flavors to choose from! I got Salted Caramel and it was so good! If I lived in the area, I'd be here all the time! Beautiful, clean shop and friendly service. Loved the Carmel vanilla latte (which is the best coffee flavor I have had) , and the chocolate cake gelato. Also tried the candy dream gelato flavor and that was so unique. This is such a cute business for Texarkana. They have so many flavors of homemade gelato, and they are really branching out to try new flavors all the time. Plus it's a great shop to get some espresso beverages... a gelato latte? You bet! I have to try it next time. On top of that, service is friendly. You can buy all kinds of goodies in their shop. They've managed to chocolate and candy coat everything imaginable, including bacon. I had to have some slices, of course. They also had chocolate covered Oreos topped with Reese's peanut butter cups. They were almost $4 a piece so I didn't try it.. but I was tempted. For gelato flavors, I went with espresso (perfection) and cake batter. Everyone loved it and we will be back. read more

This is my absolute favorite local coffee. I lived out of town, but visit my parents frequently. Every time we walk in they remember my mother and talk to her as if she's family, all of them! Everyone was super nice! It was a very welcoming atmosphere when I walked in with my four children, husband, and our friends. They were super friendly and asked if we wanted samples. Gelato was okay but I loved their turtles both the salted Carmel and the dark chocolate. I was somewhat concerned though about one woman who appeared to be either be the owner or the store manger. She was taking and making orders and stopped to ask me if I needed help. I know this should something harmless but I didn't need her help and was in view of the candy but back far enough to not be in anyone's way. I felt somewhat targeted as I was close to a rack of bagged candies and perhaps got the feeling that she thought I was attempting to steal something. I told her that I was waiting for my husband and some took a few steps back towards the counter but she kept looking at me. Taste and See started as a dream of one of the founders. As a little girl she always wanted to have her own candy shop. So after many years of preparation that dream was realized as Taste and See. Originally just a gourmet chocolate shop location in Ashdown Arkansas, Taste and See moved to Texarkana Texas in 2012. At that time it was that Taste and See added its own handmade gelato, and then soon added coffee. Continuing in the original tradition of their roots, they have found ways to incorporate candy making into gelato and coffee.
