Meh... I've definitely had better, though it wasn't the worst I've ever tasted. What really dampened the experience was the price. I ordered a scoop of their espresso gelato, but the portion was so small it looked more like a child-sized sample than a proper scoop. Then, for an additional charge, I received a drizzle of flavorless chocolate sauce. When I asked for cookie crumbles, I was charged another $1.00 and given what amounted to about a quarter of an Oreo cookie. I'm not exaggerating. I'm a small person, so I know what a modest portion looks like--but this was tiny, even by my standards. It felt more appropriate for a 5-year-old than a paying customer. What frustrates me most is when "specialty" shops charge premium prices for products that don't feel special at all. The only thing that seemed exceptional here was the inflated cost. In all honesty, I would have enjoyed a Peanut Buster Parfait from Dairy Queen far more. read more

The owner suggested trying their Gelato Latte (their specialty). A regular latte but you can choose any flavor of gelato to add in....and they have several amazing flavors to choose from! I got Salted Caramel and it was so good! If I lived in the area, I'd be here all the time! Beautiful, clean shop and friendly service. This is such a cute business for Texarkana. They have so many flavors of homemade gelato, and they are really branching out to try new flavors all the time. Plus it's a great shop to get some espresso beverages... a gelato latte? You bet! I have to try it next time. On top of that, service is friendly. You can buy all kinds of goodies in their shop. They've managed to chocolate and candy coat everything imaginable, including bacon. I had to have some slices, of course. They also had chocolate covered Oreos topped with Reese's peanut butter cups. They were almost $4 a piece so I didn't try it.. but I was tempted. For gelato flavors, I went with espresso (perfection) and cake batter. Everyone loved it and we will be back. read more
