Was told the wife makes all the chocolate and the husband makes all the hard candy. Was such a neat place. This is a must stop!! I could have bought the whole store. I've driven past here several times but never had the chance to go in. I finally stopped in, and they were making fresh peanut brittle! They gave us a sample taste, and we went in to checkout all they had. The employees were INCREDIBLY friendly which was so appreciated. We are in Lindale every three months and visiting the Lindale candy shop is a must. We have been known to shop twice in one day. Love the chocolate candy, peppermint sticks are the best ever and the staff is so much fun. When we arrive back home, friends and family are waiting for treat from the candy store. read more

They got new owners 4 years ago, this place is awesome. And they have treats that I've been looking for for a while, like the Brach's maple nut goodies. That Brach's is not making any more. They make a lot of stuff here in house. read more

Absolutely the best candy store ever I've visited. The interior is full of color AND CANDY! I ordered the chocolate covered strawberries which were amazing. Also tried the chocolate covered cherries, Dr Pepper truffles, and jalapeño peanut brittle! WOW! All served with a big Texas smile! March 23, 2023 My brother, sister in law and myself attempted to visit this establishment. We drove about two hours to arrive. Once we walked in, my 81 year old brother kindly asked if they had a restroom. He was told they didn't have a public restroom. He said I can't wait any longer. Again, was told no sir we don't have a public restroom. Was told to go drive down the road to a what a burger establishment. He could not wait so he had an accident in his pants. How embarrassed for this elderly man. So off we go to find somewhere to purchase him more clothes. I am furious the way my brother was treated. A kind gentle soul at 81 to be treated like this. Visited the storefront on a sunny Friday afternoon and was welcomed by the sweetest (lol) staff and confections. The shop is celebrating their 75th year being opened and offered us birthday truffles as a thank you. We had a large party (11) browsing and buying yummy treats when we were invited around to watch the crew pull cherry lollipops! They recently installed windows on the side of the shop where the wonderful owners walked through their candy making and pulling process. Afterwards, we were offered samples!! Nothing like fresh and warm candy!!! There are murals on the front and side of the building that are perfect for pictures. Amazing time, friendly staff, and fabulous sweets!! Cute little family-run store well worth a few minutes detour off I-20 into Lindale. We tried several hand-made chocolates, which were all excellent and clearly made by a very experienced chocolatier. They also pull their own candy canes, one of very few places in the country to do so. read more

So I just found out they have a deli inside, I decided to give it a try. It's not a huge deli but I was very pleasantly surprised at the delicious sandwiches we got. Their gourmet bun was so good. And it is incredibly filling. Really enjoyed the quality ingredients! read more

Im from California, visiting family and had heard this was a great shop so checked it out. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. Amature at best. Immediately I could see most of the chocolates are just molds, which they didn't do a good job of hiding the seam. Also I could tell the chocolate was not tempered correctly (btw forgot to mention I'm pastry chef, trained in Spain) it had a haze to it, not very shiny. I had asked what brand of cocoa they use and was told they won't say. Which is suspicious, that makes me think it's either super cheap quality and or an immoral company. Any good chocolatier would be proud to explain their cocoa brands and how they blend. I've spent plenty of time in Europe and even areas with supposedly "snotty" chocolatiers like Paris. I've never had anyone refuse to tell me their brands. Got a few truffles and they were way too sweet, too thick of a "chocolate" coating and did not have much chocolate flavor which further confirmed my poor cocoa quality suspicion. It pretty much tasted like a candy melt. No shine, no snap. They also had weird stuff like a jelly belly display which, jelly bellies are good but why on earth sell something to compete with your product that you can buy in just about any gas station in the country? Their sugar work actually did look pretty good, the hard and gummy candies and such. There was also this strange little side room with extremely tacky/ cheap clothing and accessories (think leopard print crosses and blingy purses). Staff was nice and helpful with the exception of the refusal to say what cocoa they use. It's really too bad because it has such potential to be nice. They would have zero competition because there are no other chocolatiers in East Texas. read more
