If I could give a "0" I would . I paid for a diagnostic on my A.C. Unit . I was told my unit needed two parts. I was quoted a price of 1,700. I was also given the option to purchase a new unit for 6,500 and offered financing options. I told the tech I would think about it . I was called at least 5 times from the sales office after the service in attempt to get me to commit....In the meantime I called another AC company and gave the diagnostic information and the part needed. The other company came out and replace one part. I was told that the other part wasn't even needed, that it was brand new. I was also told my unit is in fine condition and I could possibly get another 5 years out of it . I was charged only $500!!!! Stay away from AC warehouse. Very shady to say the least ! read more

I just wanted to thank Rob B for the great advice he gave me on the care of my AC. I will be sure to keep this company in mind when I am ready to replace my old one :) read more

Do not use, unethical and essentially crooks. I recently moved to Bradenton, very near the AC Warehouse on 64. Being a part time resident, I thought it would be a good idea to have a service plan and someone to call if my AC failed while I was away. I signed up for their 200 service plan. On the first visit, a polite technician arrived, did his thing and told me my system was 1.5 pounds low on coolant. At first he said he had to charge me (coolant is $$$), but reversed and said my plan included 2 pounds free per year so I was covered. He said he filled it and we would monitor it. I left for the summer, kept my thermostat on 79 (monitored by Nest) and everything was smooth all summer. When I returned in the fall, all was well, and I had to call to get my second visit scheduled. Given there might be a leak, I wanted it looked at. A second technician arrived in January. I was busy on calls for work, so didnt get a chance to watch him. After about 45 mins of him doing things, he comes into my office, says I have big problems and need my unit replaced. He said I was down 4-5 pounds and clearly I had a leak They could fix it, but my unit was old (7 years old) but I would be better buying new. He then literally grabs a dirty note pad, scribbles out an estimate for full new system,(like he was writing a pizza takeout order) and asks me to sign. Plus he said he filled my unit with 5 pounds of coolant, and needed $400. I said if the unit needed replacement why would he fill it? I told him to get lost...I called another supplier (Airiffic) for a second opinion, he came to look at it, said the dude didn't do all the testing (he could tell because some fittings where still dirty or didn't have the caps removed) and that the unit would not run being that low on coolant. Given we didn't know what the dude from ACW did, we agreed to have him come back in 8 weeks to check. Airriffic came back this week, did the full check and service and said all was fine. The dude at AC Warehouse was clearly dishonest, looking for a sale and commission. I think they were grooming me here, the first dude planting the seed I had a small leak and the second dude coming in and validating it. What a bunch of dopes. read more

Very professional technicians they have been in business for years never have I had any problems. They keep my ac running perfectly.

Installed an air conditioning unit that was to small for the home. Each Summer the unit did not cool below 78°. They tried placing my duck work for $3000.00 . I spent over $5000.00 on the unit. The next company I used said I needed a larger tonnage unit for the size of the home. Another $5000.00 spent. They installed it and I never had a problem since. AC Warehouse is incompetent. read more

I do not recommend A/C Warehouse. A/C Warehouse installed a new A/C system in my home. During the process an item that I believe is called a float switch was installed but was not functional. A little over two months later we discovered extensive water damage to our home. The problem was traced to the new A/C system. I called A/C Warehouse to fix the system. The problem was identified as the float switch being non-functional. The total damage to the house was approximately $4,963.12. An additional cost from A/C Warehouse of $129.00 was incurred to repair the A/C system. I called Nate of A/C Warehouse to inquire if they would reimburse us for the damages caused by the faulty switch. He indicated that he would look into the situation and return my call. Having waited two months for a call back I assume they are not willing to stand behind their work. read more

Quit using them. Try to sell or replace every time they come. Few months ago technician said we should probably replace the unit at a cost of $7900 Checked with another AC contractor an the cost would be $5200 for a Trane system instead of Lennox. He also said our unit should last another 2-4 years. Bye bye Ac Warehouse! read more

I feel this company is completely dishonest. After numerous house visits for an inspection I found either the air conditioning or the heat did not work. This happened at least twice. It left me without air conditioning in 90 degree plus weather and without heat on 40 degree nights. This was a brand new unit that was under warranty. Be forewarned about using them and then having them call you to inspect the work that was done resulting in a unit not working for over a week or longer. - Also be aware they do not run service on weekends, or holidays so if your unit goes down on a Friday, plan to suffer a long weekend! read more

They installed a Lennox Elite heat pump at my home, they put the air handler on an existing wood box in my garage for which the top piece of plywood was rotted and black with mold from the existing air handler that leaked water onto it! Fortunately I noticed it, so they came out and removed/reinstalled the new air handler after removing the rotted wood and putting a new piece of plywood on the box, so there are two stars. And then the Lennox Elite air handler also leaked water on the top of the box, but I did not notice until after 1 year full warranty, so they would not do anything about it. I spent 4+ hrs fixing the inside of air handler so the condensate on the inside walls drained into the drain. Unit lasted 10 years with moderate use, but was rusting badly and leaking coolant, so started getting quotes to replace it. That is when another company pointed out that the copper return line was making a 90 degree bend, said it was not good for coolant flow, and had 4 joints each of which adds a more contaminants from the brazing process to the inside of the coolant system (see pics). When I called to have an AC Wharehouse tech look at the system "they installed" he said the R410a coolant was $150/lb and could just leak out in a week or two, so I was like why throw away $500-1500? So he did not even do any diagnosis of the system and still charged me $89. That reminds me of the AC Warehouse tech that came for the annual service I needed to keep the warranty, would check the pressures, tell me a story or two and leave. After 6 years the 14 seer system started using more energy, based on the FPL website tools, found out the double row of coils around the compressor were 50% clogged with white corrosion from the aluminum fins, the AC Warehouse tech never cleaned them once in 5 years, and on the 6th rinsed them with a garden hose which did not remove the corrosion. Next got a tech from AND Services who atleast cleaned the inside row of coils. I then cleaned the outside row myself and AC system energy usage went back to normal. read more

Do not use this company! They will try to take advantage of you and upsell you for equipment and services you don't need. Billy came to service my AC, replaced my thermostat (which was working fine) with a lower grade Honeywell & charged me $365 for a unit that is only $60 online. He then told me he had to order parts and I would be without AC until Monday on a holiday weekend. I contacted another company & they had my AC unit working within 5 mins! The other company couldn't find any "repairs" the other guy said he made. This company prays upon people that aren't experienced with AC units by charging them for work that isn't need! Please.. avoid AC warehouse by all means necessary!! read more

Our air conditioner went out on a Thursday (the unit is only 5 years old and was installed by AC Warehouse). From Thursday until Monday we had to spend our time managing the process to get our unit fixed. We had a Tech tell us on Friday that he wouldn't be back until Monday because he was on call over the weekend and wasn't going to waste 4 hours on our job during that time. We continually had to call the office to find out what was going on. Poor communication, poor behavior of the Tech, and the fact that we shouldn't of even had an issue with a 5 year old unit that they service for us is why we rated so poorly. We will not use them going forward. read more

Highly disappointed in AC Warehouse. I have been a customer for quite some time. Their service and prices have deteriorated over the years. Their sales people use deceptive tactics and false quotes. Their prices for their maintenance program and other services have doubled over the last 10 years.Their tax always want to do work on systems that are new. I had them install my new units four years ago and they were already problems with them, or so they say. And oh, by the way, their warranties don't cover any of the work. I do not recommend this company. It is a shame because they used to be the best. read more

This company preys on the elderly. My 98 year old grandmother had a church coupon for an AC check up so she gave them a call. They proceeded to cut off her electricity accidentally and then had the audacity to upsell her on an $1800 service she didn't want, need, and can't afford. They had her sign something she couldn't see and didn't understand. They are not returning my calls to attempt to make things right. This is straight up elder abuse and fraud and AC Warehouse should be ashamed! read more

BEWARE, UNETHICAL COMPANY--A/C Warehouse installed a new cooling system (Rheem compressor and evaporator coil unit) at my home in 2012. During a recent supposed "tune up/maintenance" visit, the tech (actually salesman) claimed that among other problems he found that the temperature variance was off, the power draw was too high and the coolant level was too low. Consequently, he insisted that the entire system needed to be replaced at a cost of $5,698 despite the fact that it was still under the ten (10) year parts warranty period! To add insult to injury the system he was recommending as a replacement was a discontinued, contractor's grade, all electric heating and cooling system. As a result, he was proposing not only to remove and replace the cooling system components, but also my existing and perfectly operating Carrier gas furnace/ air handler. I declined his suggestion and called three (3) other companies for a second opinion. All three (3) of the technicians dispatched by the other companies completed a thorough diagnostic on the system. Although they each did find that the temperature variance was slightly off, none found any need to replace the system. The company I ultimately chose to go with for subsequent annual maintenance (Green Cooling Solutions) found that A/C Warehouse had actually at some point over inflated the system with coolant, and upon relieving the pressure, got the temperature level and all values back to normal! My total cost was $179 for the annual maintenance contract, a far cry from the $5,698 for the new system A/C Warehouse was trying to scam me into buying! read more

We bought our a/c from AC warehouse, and also purchased their multi visit maintenance plan. Each time they schedule a visit, it is with a 4 hour window. And each time we have been at the final moments of that four hours, or they are late. Today, after 1/2 hour past the scheduled window, I called and was told the technician was running late and we were his next visit. Then to add insult to injury, I was told the technician would call when he would be here within 1/2 to1 hour. Since he has not called it could possibly be much longer than another hour before he eventually appears. If this is the last maintenance visit we have prepayed for, it will definitely be the last time I use them. I intend to put this review on Yelp and Home Advisor so others can see how little respect this company has for customers. read more

Nothing but issues with this company. Purchased a new unit through them. New unit constantly breaking down over the course of a couple years. I expected to eventually have issues with the system, but not so fast considering it was a brand new system. Their maintenance contract claims they're supposed to lubricate moving parts, and clean the AC coils. They don't do any of that. When they started trying to charge 400 dollars just to flush out my drain line, that was the last straw. I can flush the drain lines by myself for free. Keep away from these guys. They'll try to milk you for as much money as they can. read more

I have used AC Warehouse as my Ac company after disastrous experiences withy other AC companies over the years. Rob is fantastic, efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, reliable and always takes time to explain things ton us. He has helped us out of several bad situations always with humility and quiet strength. The office staff are fantastic, the scheduling is efficient and friendly. The cost for service and maintenance are very reasonable. I purchase my AC from Them about 6 years ago kept up with my maintenance always changes out our filters every 3 months my last schedule maintenance which was this past April That is when things went south with this company the first tech came said that if we did a algaecide tablet done it would keep the system running better and deter for rust any some more things he suggested so after 483.00 and then I told him about sound like ice freezing up and he preceded to tell me that was a normal sound which I didn't think so so off he went. 2 weeks later discovered water leaking out damaged my floor and also went to the downstairs unit called them up and they came back did not charge me a service call because it had been within the month so then was told that the coil in my AC unit where leaking and that they would have to replace them order the part came and fixed them another 583.00 then one week after the system was still not working right and said that it was leaking from compressor by this time I was pretty fed up the tech Dennis said these thing just happen suggested I might want to consider a whole new AC so needless to say I told them never come back. This company thinks nothing of peoples times had to wait home all for when they would come even I have had no show before...they did not offer any money off for our inconvenience or I stand corrected she offer me 89.00 off for service charge (and there wasn't even a service charge) because they where coming back with a month of the last service. This company is awful so my advise to people to stay away from them they are the worst in fixing and there customer service is lot to be desired. read more

I ordered a package AC unit on a Monday, and was advised it would ship within 2-3 days. On Friday, I called (since I didn't get any tracking info), and was advised that the unit would now be shipped on the following Thursday (11 days after I placed the order). I cancelled the order & went with the AC Outlet, who shipped my order the same day. Bottom line: CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE! Save yourself headache & buy somewhere else! read more

Well, it's Dec...2021... and that compressor they diagnosed as having "COMPRESSOR LOCK" ...it's still running fine...

Zero communication. Bad office management. Set up service to be billed for moms service when we called to schedule. Literally 10 mins after service, I was called to pay and yelled at that the tech should have collected payment. Then another office loser called mom out of state for payment. The big whopping $39 service was paid via credit card literally 35 mins after service. The office then proceeded to call my wife for payment and then call mom 2 more times for payment that was already completed. They even emailed a receipt for the payment. 3 hours later mom was called again for payment. Then they called wife again for payment. Will NEVER use this Mickey Mouse service and will NEVER recommend to anyone. read more

Having been in Sarasota since the mid 90's, I have run the gamut with A/C companies and contracts. When I needed a new system, I called several companies for quotes and recommendations. That's when I met Pat from A/C Warehouse. He actually recommended that I DO NOT get a new system and to try and get by a few more years with the exisating system-which I did. Pat=Honesty=5 Stars. When I did replace the system this past summer, Pat gave me the best price (yup i still checked) and made sure I had all the applicable rebates being offered. The entire unit ,inside and out,was replaced quickly and professionally. They are responsive to your calls and I love being reminded, by Carmen, that I need a yearly maintenance call. She always waits until there is a special to give me the best deal. After the air went out, AC were there the same day, I checked the price which was competitive and they installed two ACs & two air handlers within two days. After finding the fuse kept going, they corrected my wiring (which was the problem - so not their fault) and all works great. (The previous owner had the whole pool fuse system hanging off the back of one of the ACs 25 fuse !!!). But they found it and corrected it. Very happy with price, work and super after sales (did not stop until they found the issue). read more

I have had the misfortune of using AC Warehouse twice for new AC units. (I know, shame on me for expecting something better the second time). They are never on time, sell units that break down and promise the moon. And underdeliver, exceptionally. It took them 3 years and $2600 in unnecessary repairs to finally figure out that the airflow wasn't sufficient. For service calls- yes they will schedule them- and never show up on time. Really frustrating company to work with. read more

Buyer BEWARE! My elderly mother has used A/C Warehouse for a number of years. For several years we bought their twice annual maintenance program. Every time they showed up they found yet another very expensive repair was needed. In each instance I called another company for a second opinion, and in every case, A/C warehouse had given us a bad and very expensive diagnosis. Most recently, a tech tried to sell my mother a $6k replacement air conditioner that she didn't need. We had another company come out to look and they replaced a simple switch. I don't know if the AC warehouse technicians are on commission, but I strongly recommend getting another opinion if these folks give you a diagnosis. read more

Very good experience with this company. technician showed up with a mask on shoe covers.

Highly recommend! Can't beat their pricing. Timely, friendly staff who was knowledgeable and experienced.

They called me today to set up appointment for my semi annual service - like I already paid for it, which I have not. So the call within it's self was a scam. I haven't used them in 2 years. When asked to set up appointment I replied no thanks. THATS WHEN SHE SLAMMED THE PHONE IN MY EAR! Hello, your rude attitude and awful customer service are one of the two reasons I stopped using you. When they miss their appointment they tell you it's your fault or you didn't actuslly have an appointment Office people are rude and lie. The awful customer service was actually the second reason I stopped using them. They installed my top of the line a/c unit, air handler, extra air filter system ($1000) and all new duct work about 6 years ago. To the tune of almost $11,000. I the first month we had 8 service calls! Fast forward, then started semi-annual service. The first three years after installation was fine, but then something drastically changed. Every time the service man came here he told me about all the mold inside my air handler, and wanted to put in a $1700 blue light to stop the mold growth. Said the mold was making sick. I refused. He then said as a favor me, his good customer, he would spray something inside the unit that should tide me over till the next visit. I have a camera in my garage... I watched him take the filter to the sink and wash it off! The following year my service contract was with another company who gave my HVAC system a great review and no service was necessary. I asked him about mold and he said there wasn't any and likely a scam to up the price of service. read more

Ac Warehouse was a reliable and honest company a few years ago. I heard they are under a different ownership, and have transgressed into another lowlife, dishonest, AC company that is among so many here in Florida. Now, when the tech comes all he does is try to sell you something you don't need, and basically are totally dishonest so they can make an extra buck!
