We had a full replacement from an old 16 year old leaking 3 ton Lennox AC unit to a a new 4 ton Lennox AC and ultra low nox furnace with AC Volt. Everything was replaced including the line set necessary to support the increased tonnage. While shopping I got 7 different estimates and only considered the companies that sent a person over to actually look at my hvac and space. AC Volt was the most thorough in analyzing what the issue is and what I needed. They were clear on what needed to be replaced and options I had either staying with the 3 ton or going up to a 4 ton system and the expectation of each when installed. AC Volt was not the most expensive and also not the cheapest. My range of installers were between wholesale hvac distributors with "I have a number of someone that can install for you" to Costco with a price deviation of almost a used car! We are happy and lucky we decided on AC Volt. On the day of installation the crew showed up on time and worked the full day. They solved installation challenges even to the point of drywall work to fit the new furnace in where the old one stood. There was no renegotiation on price and everything was just done to without question. The crew worked two full days on the installation with all the unforeseen challenges. They were courteous, polite, and very clean. It was clear they went the extra mile to make sure the installation was done right. The new HVAC now works exactly as they promised! The installation looks great.

    Very neat work.

So in the summer, instead of sucking in air from the inside of the house, it would be be sucking in 100F air from outside, making the AC inefficient. He took the time to drive to the store to get sealant to fix the leaks inside the intake box, and spent an hour applying the sealant himself. Did not ask for any extra money, did not complain, had a great attitude, and really wanted to make sure that he gave 150% effort to the customer. Then he re-tested the system and the system passed this time showing barely any leakage. Gave us the report and the paperwork needed for the building inspector. If you do your own HVAC upgrade without a city permit, you think you save money by not having to spend money on HERS testing. Nothing could be farther from the truth. When it comes to spending money, I'm cheap. I didn't realize that Jason's job is to make sure that the extra money you spend on upgrading your ducts/AC equipment to more efficient equipment is not in vain due to leaks in your ducts A+++ experience with using this company for HERS testing, and will recommend to others to use this company.

Great value for the services they provide, not only for the testing, but also for the reporting to the city inspectors. I highly recommend Jason and Reliance Energy Services. Thank you, Jason.

From the beginning, the team carefully evaluated our existing system and took the time to explain our options. They provided very reasonable quotes for several different systems, with a clear and detailed breakdown of costs so we could make an informed decision. They also helped us identify available discounts and rebates, which made a big difference. A special thank you to Don, who worked hard to justify the investment and answer all of our questions. Thanks to his knowledge and patience, my husband was finally able to get the Daikin system he had been hoping for. The installation process was fast, professional, and handled with great care. The crew was respectful of our home, paid attention to detail, and left everything spotless when the job was finished. We truly appreciate the excellent service from Jesse, Don, Andres, and Ivan. Their professionalism, honesty, and dedication made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend Magnolia Heating & Cooling to anyone looking for quality HVAC service at a fair price.

The company I use to use went out of business so I picked this company to try out since it's a Riverside local and I've seen their billboard in town. Initial call was for regular summer maintenance and their employee Adrian was nice and informative but did say I had a problem with my mini split that would require a follow up service call. Fast forward to this week. Jesse (also nice employee - no beef there) came out and said he could not determine issue with mini split under the service call ($75) and so he'd have to call the AC manufacturer and talk with them to discover the problem. This would be an advanced diagnostic and a fee of $230 AND I was warned that if he was on hold for a long time it would still charge by the hour and it could be up to $400+ just for him to be on the phone!!! WILD. Luckily he got through in a decent amount of time and during that that diagnostic with the manufacturer on the phone he said I needed a new condensation pump at a whopping $892. I could swallow a $1000 bill (while dying inside) so of course agreed to it, completely my choice. After that fix however the AC was not blowing cold so then he said it needed a leak detection test at $455. So from that diagnostic (are you counting this will be the 3rd diagnostic during the same day!) he said he found 4 flares leaking and to fix them and top of the refrigerant lost I was looking at approximately $1,598 MORE- this is where I finally decided to stop the madness and decline further service. I would be at near $3k to fix a mini split that was less than 5 years old! Granted this company did not do initial install but O-M-G for these prices it was halfway to buying a new one!! They did in the end take off $233 from the final bill because I had signed up for their maintenance club membership on the initial call but after I use my last regular cleaning service from them in the winter I will no longer be using this company. So 1 star for having amazing friendly technicians but minuses all the other stars for the absolutely ridiculous diagnostic charges that don't even go towards the cost of repair and for my air conditioner still not working close to $1400 dollars later.

My 86-year-old mother lives alone and recently told me that her house has been freezing for months. Because I do not live close by, I sent an HVAC serviceman out (from another company) to look at her system. After seeing pictures of the attic and HVAC components, it was clear that she needed an entirely new system, including air ducts (which had decayed through the years) and she needed additional blown-in insulation to reach an R30 factor. Using Yelp and other Google searches, I identified four HVAC contractors in her area. Two of the four estimators were arrogant and had trouble answering my questions over the phone. They spent most of their time telling me how good their companies were and how bad the competition was (even though I did not give them their names). The other two contractors, one of which was OakRidge Energy, seemed very experienced. Both were very kind to my mother and were very professional with me over the phone. The two arrogant guys provided ridiculously high quotes. The third was quite a bit less. OakRidge provided the best price and threw in a free "before and after duct pressure test." My mother was so happy that I had chosen OakRidge Energy because she "really liked the guy that came out to estimate the job." We signed the contract on a Wednesday, the team arrived on that Friday, and they had the entire job completed by 3:00 pm that Saturday, just three days after signing the contact. The office team, Rebecca and Hannah, were excellent as well. They were always available, pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, and very responsive. And the owner, Chris, responded to each of my technical questions, via email, in minutes. Although I did not meet the installers, my mother, sister, and brother-in-law did. They were all very impressed with how Armando, Carlos, and Cesar went about their business. They were very pleasant, were very clean and organized, knew exactly what they were doing, and seldom took a break. I asked my sister to look over the review that I had written. Here is her response unedited.... "Randy that was PERFECT! They were amazing & so professional. We all felt so comfortable with them that Mom went away for the day and Phil & I sat downstairs. Never once did we feel we needed to stand over or watch them, it was weird how much trust we had in them they just came across as hard working, honest guys and they truly were. We really got lucky with them and trust me Mom is warm up there." I strongly recommend that you ask OakRidge Energy to provide an estimate for a home energy survey or an HVAC system upgrade, if needed.
