Alejandro the owner does not take responsibility for his mistakes. There was an accident during construction and he refused to repair to my satisfaction. He patched without matching the paint. He cut pieces of wood making the job look cheap . He is a lier , he is sneaky, he will try to screw you . He also shows you very good quality materials on interview , then uses cheap quality on installation. You have to watch him like a hawk. He promised to do the job in 1 week and he took 3 . I had my roof replaced several months ago with AC Roofing and had been very happy with the quality of work, attention to detail, and the conscientious clean up. The roof I chose was a "cool roof" that reflects excess heat, looks great and has not leaked. I also had brand new gutters installed. Flash forward eight months and I noticed that the seam of the gutter right above my front door started leaking and getting rusty despite not having any actual rain (just morning fog condensation). Although many companies offer a satisfaction guarantee it is often worth the paper it is written on; once the owner gets paid it is typically difficult to ever get issues addressed later on. However, this is not the case with AC Roofing. Within an hour of my email Isaac reached out, came by the following day to repair it, and then made a follow up visit to test the work. He even got up on the roof, blew out leaves, and threw in free gutter guards over the drains. That is quality service! read more

We had several leaks with water getting into the house through the roof and hired AC Roofing for the job based on the quote and a recommendation. During the inspection for the quote one of the team pointed out areas where the fascia board has issues near our leaks that they assured us they could repair. The work appeared to be completed in a professional manner but with the next heavy rains after we have the same leaks causing water damage and mold. After reaching out to Ed and the team they came to inspect the damage and say it is not the roof but the fascia board that apparently they never fixed because they do not do do that type of work. AC roofing have fully refused to take any responsibility for their over-site and we are now being forced to go through another company to redo the incomplete work they neglected, and pay to replace the roof yet again. read more

Our experience with AC Roofing was pretty excellent. Their rates were very competitive and they showed up on time and worked diligently, even as major fires burned nearby and the air was pretty smoky (we had offered to reschedule but they insisted on going ahead). Abel and Alan were very responsive and answered all our questions thoroughly. I do wish that they had done more to clean up the discarded, old roof pieces around our house. To be fair, they removed nearly 4 layers of old roofing and so there was quite a bit and they did make a decent attempt to clean up what they could. Also, they left some tar stains on our front porch and when I pointed them out, they told me what I could purchase to remove the stains myself instead of offering to do it for us (which I didn't ask for but would have been appreciated). Finally, some portions of the paint job they did around the new edges of the roof were a little sloppy; it's not a big deal because most of it is not visible but I would have appreciated a neater application near the front porch where people can see it. I guess a little less perfection is to be expected when the rates are so much lower than competitors! I would still recommend this company to friends and family. read more

I gave them a call around 3:30 to see what was going on and they let me know they were backed up and they would like to reschedule for the following day. Even though they did not give a courtesy call I let it go and rescheduled for the following day. Next day comes, their appt is at 10 AM. Still did not show up nor give a courtesy call. Mind you this is for a commercial property repair so I had to essentially drive 45 minutes away to be here at work for an appt when they did not show. Very unprofessional company. I do not recommend. We both climbed up on the roof, and he thoroughly explained the problems with the old roof and what he would do with the new roof to fix them. That was very helpful, because it helped me to understand the process, and it gave me confidence in Abel's company. I had some requests about the contract, and he was helpful there, too. Alan showed up early on the day we agreed the job would start. He explained the permit process and confirmed the plans for the roofing job. The roofing crew showed up a while later and got to work. They made good progress and were accommodating every time I wanted to take a look at their work. They did a good job of coordinating with the Dish Network technician who came to replace the satellite dish. My mother-in-law's service was only interrupted for a couple of hours, and that's a good thing! The goal was to finish within five days, and the actual roof was done by then. In our case, new skylights were needed. That took longer, but we were told about it in advance. Nothing in life is perfect, and there was one minor problem with this job. In my mind how a company handles problems says a lot about their service, and AC Roofing handled this problem professionally and without any drama. Good! So my wife and I purchased a house in February, I knew that it would need a new roof because the owners before us Mickey Moused a lot of things on the roof. Since we live in sunny Southern California, I figured we had time, but I still wanted a quote. So I called Abel after reading the great reviews, and he came out and met me quick. Abel and I got along right away, he climbed up there and saw what he was up against. I was a little embarrassed because I knew the roof was Mickey Moused, but he came down and let me know what he thought. He made a couple of recommendations, and gave me his quote. I said thank you and I would be in touch. Well the last storm we had dropped some heavy rain and I came home to my wife holding up some towels over a window in the living room. I found another roofer who completed a job for about 60% of what Abel estimated. The other roofer also didn't charge to provide an estimate. Abel charged $250, despite advertising "free estimates" on his business card. He quibbled about the difference between a free estimate ("only for a complete roof replacement") and the inspection he made, but another roofer came out, went up on a ladder, took photographs, and charged nothing to give me a quote--same thing Abel did. I think you can charge to provide estimates if you want to, but you shouldn't advertise "free estimates" on your business card and then play games with the customer about what is and isn't a free estimate. read more

We got multiple quotes from a vendors regarding the roof and unfortunately did not end up working with AC Roofing since the other company offered a discount and had us make a decision on the spot. The company we used ended up charging us extra for things that they said will not happen (which was included in AC roofing's quote and was cheaper). Being hit with another $6000 on top of an expensive roof repair was daunting. Alan was nice enough to call us back and educate us on the best path forward; spending a lot of time explaining to us what some of the technical aspects meant and what the fair cost should be. I didn't choose AC Roofing; my solar company did. But I'm so glad they chose to partner with AC. Before getting my solar panels, I definitely needed a roof replacement - my roof was 32 years old and leaky. AC was super easy to work with - they came right when they said they would, and the tear-off took 1 day - it was nice and clean after. They made a few plywood and fascia replacements, painted where the new wood needed it, and then spent 4 days putting on the new roof. All the workers were very nice and very careful. After they were done, I did have a few issues and cleanup needed, but they came the very next day and made sure everything was perfectly to my liking. 4 1/2 stars and a strong recommendation for AC Roofing. Abel was really a nice guy. It was 2 years ago, right before the anticipated El Nino that didn't really materialize. But the roofers were crazy busy. So it was a little hard to get him scheduled, and we needed his work done before we could proceed with solar panels. The coordination between the solar company and AC roofing was less than perfect, but eventually we got onto the schedule for a complete re-roof, and then it was smooth. The only other glitch we had was when the roofing supply company delivered the wrong roof tiles (split shake instead of non split) and no one noticed it until the roof was 1/4 done. In fairness, the difference was very minor, and I sensed that Abel would have ripped off the 2 days labor/materials and started over if we had insisted. After the solar panels were up, he came back to do some other finishing up and was even kind enough to paint the concrete end caps dark gray to match our tile, at my request. Mostly, I think the guys running this family business try hard and are fair and honest. Perfect? No, but good people. We have had no roofing problems in the 2 years since our big roof went on. I had a leak that was noticed last year during the heavy rains. Before it starts to rain again I decided to checked out a few roofers here on Yelp and looked at the reviews. I narrowed it down to 3 businesses and called all 3 to ask for a quote. One never called back, the other said they would come by on Saturday but they had a job so it might be Monday, no one called, no one came. AC roofing called and set an appointment for Tuesday. Tuesday Alan came over brought his ladder jumped on my roof and saw what might be the problem. He gave me a price to fix the area or he can do the whole roof and fix what ever needs fixing since he said my roof is still in good condition. I asked when he can come and do it and he said "as soon as you say go". The next day he and Isaac came over and did the job in a few hours with the guarantee that if there is a problem with in a year, they will come and fix it , no problem. I would give five stars for great service however i did have a small leakage through one of my canned lights but ac roofing did repair the issue as soon as possible.
