I got 3 estimates for my roof. The skylights were leaking during the heavy rains. PIN had the best estimate and best time frame. Everyone I spoke to was professional and caring. I didn't feel rushed. On the contrary I felt like each person did the best to explain each part of the process in a professional and kind manner, answering even the silliest of questions. Before deciding on a roofer I picked out skylights that I liked but I wasn't sure if they could get them or if they would be too expensive. I was willing to settle for the standard skylights. Cecilia went above and beyond to find the skylights, had the custom ordered to make the "customer happy." She kept the price intact. I was blown away by the service, I felt like I was treated as a VIP customer. I've use this company once 25 years ago to replace several sheets of rotted plywood on my roof. Then last year I had Richard out for an estimate to reroof the house, after he inspected it, he said he didn't think it needed replacement! Talk about a straight up guy! I was referred to Pin Roofing by three people on Postively Downey. I called him Wed. 1/2/2019 to see when he could come out for a quote. He inspected my roof later that day. Told me the cost to repair leaks in three areas of my house and 2 on my garage. He said because of expected rain that weekend he and his crew would the work Friday,1/4/2019. They did the work early Friday. Richard suggested I wait until Monday to pay him to see if there was a leak after the rain. I was impressed with his integrity and have now have a leak free roof. This company sent their workers to work on my neighbors house. Two of their workers moved my three trash bins from the collection area on the street on to my lawn just to be 10 feet closer. Well, the trash had not been collected yet. I asked to not move the trash bins and not to place them on my lawn because there was plenty of room for them to park their truck. The driver became arguementive and insisted he had to move my trash cans and park 10 feet closer. Well, I called the company and Bob was quick to defend his workers and discount my account. My other neighbors were there and witnessed the guy's actions. It doesn't give me confidence in there trustworthiness. Maybe complaining to the state licensing board would change their attitude about how they interact with the community members. read more

Mr. Pin or Richard showed up and gave me an estimate on a small job to repair 7 broken tiles. I called him the next day to hire him, but he complained I took too long to call him and he's booked for a month. I find that hard to believe. He told me to check with him in a few weeks. So I called him several times a few weeks later and he kept giving me excuses and told me he would call me back later to see if he could fit mine in between his other jobs, but he never did. This is in response to the post of 4-11 by 'Xavier'. I'm the neighbor who was supposed to have work done. 'Xavier's' post is a bit misleading. "I asked not to move the trash bins......" - there was no 'asking', there was only screaming; "the driver became argumentative..." - the driver stayed in the truck until 'Xavier' told him if he had something to say to get out of the truck and say it; "my other neighbors were there and witnessed the actions..." - the neighbor witnesses are 'Xavier's' sister and adult nephew. When I drove up it was already out of control and was getting worse when the worker got out of the truck. When I asked the worker to pull into the driveway, he drove off - and I don't blame him. Now, that being said, I also understand the other negative posts by 'Andy O.' and 'S.G.' It took several weeks and phone calls to get Mr. Semones (the owner of Pin Roofing) to come out, give me a price and a date for the work to be done. He said Fri. 4-7. No one showed up and when I finally heard from him he said someone called in sick and that "if it doesn't rain the next day (Sat.)" they would get the work done then. Well, it didn't rain; they didn't show up; and I never got a phone call. When we tracked him down on Monday he said they would be there on Tuesday......well, that became the day of the 'infamous trash bin incident'. In talking with Mr. Semones at that time, he said he wanted to talk with his crew about what happened and would call me in a couple of days. That was 9 days ago and I still haven't heard from him. Although I can't speak of/review the quality of work, I can tell you they did come highly recommended. Personally though, I would not have called Pin Roofing if I had known Mr. Semones was lacking in reliability and common courtesy. Sorry, but I place a lot of importance on treating customers with respect and courtesy. read more
