She arrived at my mom's house, helped her get loaded and got her to the train station. But Dawn didn't stop there, she took the extra time to ensure my mom got checked in, got her luggage checked, and got on the train. Beach taxi provides a decent alternative while you're in town and the bus system has failed you for the evening. Good, reliable service - and not too expensive if you're traveling within the city of Westport itself. Bear in mind that Beach Taxi *is* a mom-and-pop operation. One gentleman runs the only taxi, so you may have to wait up to fifteen minutes from your call time. Also, the driver has a slight slur to his speech. While this is a little off-putting when you first call him, I have used his taxi services several times and can vouch for him, well, not being drunk. He's actually a pretty nice guy. Anyway! Yes, it is possible to get around Westport at night if you have a few extra clams at your disposal.

We were in Woodland and needed to get to Longview. We tried Lyft and Uber but they cold not provide a driver. The staff at the hotel recommended James at Kalama Cab. He was more than accommodating. He drove us up to Longview to urgent care, then waited for us past dinner time into the evening so we could have a ride back to Woodland at a reasonable price (a fraction of having a cab come up from Vancouver to pick us up).
