LaNay Walker of Mom's Taxi Astoria is AWESOME! She was the only one of the cab companies locally who cared to help at 4am when I got stuck getting to the Astoria Transit Center. Since then I have had a few VERY smooth rides. Having worked for taxi companies in the past I can safely say this lady does it the right way, always shows up on time and gives a 5 star experience. Showed up when she said she would and was open to making future appointments, something at least one her competitor was unwilling to do.

We were camping at Fort Stevens during the Wine and Seafood Festival and did not want to take the Rv's into town for fresh crab to have for dinner, and some beers at Buoy Beer. Called Mom's Cab to give us a ride. LaNay was friendly, we were able to pick a time slot and she took us right into town. Sadly no-one in town had fresh crab. We lamented that news in the cab going home and LaNay made some calls and before we knew it we had 5 Live crabs right off the boat ready to clean/cook and eat. I was at the Mini mart in Astoria the other day. A van pulled up from this company, and the older lady started hawking loogies out her window almost hitting my car. Then she lit up a cigarette. Who wants to ride in a cab that smells like smoke? What happens if she picks someone up that is extremely allergic to smoke? Blech. read more

Almost all the employees are nice besides one lady is a miserable and tells her patients to shut up. She watches you tube. And listens to her professor on the phone gets in your conversation while your on the phone and is very rude. read more

Very unreliable. I tried to get a ride from Mom's Cab. They were rude and during the call they put me on hold (which normally isn't a problem). Then they hung up. Overall, inconsiderate and unreliable when trying to simply get a taxi. Would not call them for a ride again, I would rather walk in the cold, which I ended up doing. read more

I had to use them a couple of weeks ago because my usual (Downtown Coffee Taxi) was busy. The woman who answered the phone was nice but when I asked her for the approximate cost she said that she "had no idea" and that the driver would have to tell me. The driver showed up and it was the woman I was speaking with on the phone! The cab (van) was dirty and REEKED of smoke. If that wasn't bad enough the cost was twice what I normally pay Downtown Taxi. Won't be using them again. read more

Dad picked us up instead of Mom! LOL! After walking the riverfront from downtown Astoria out to Rouge Brewing, my husband knees could not take anymore that day. Came to get us in about 10 minutes after our initial call. Very friendly staff. read more

I was driving home today passing the Maritime Museum going west. I had to slam on the brakes because Mom's Taxi pulled out right in front of me. I honked the horn and if that wasn't bad enough the driver, a woman, turned around looked at me and flipped me off! If I hadn't braked fast and hard her taxi would have been T-boned. read more

Something about this company has changed drastically. They are no longer reliable in anyway, shape, or form. I called four hours in advance for a time to pick up, and had to call three times to find out where the cab was. Waited over an hour in the dark for a ride I had prearranged. If it were one time I would not be leaving this review. However I waited until the sixth time I was left waiting for an excessive amount to finally write the review. I was a loyal customer. I guess it's time to move on. read more
