    Getting my hair done

Miny was amazing! Very personable and made me feel welcomed. My phone wasn't working when she called me back so she text and I was able to get right in. I loved that I was able to find an amazing hair stylist that is so knowledgeable and that was open on a Sunday! I get small bald patches occasionally and she looked at my hair follicles with this cool magnifying camera so I was able to see up close what is going on back there. She gave several recommendations that were helpful! My hair feels so amazing! I love it! I'm from Alaska but will definitely be back on my next trip. This is my first time leaving a review on yelp. I had to because I am so happy with my hair cut and how I was treated by Miny

    My curly unwanted mullet

All the great reviews made me really excited to finally find a place that can cut my curly (3b) hair and for a reasonable price! But I am SO disappointed and my hair isn't really fixable since it is so short now. Here is what happened. I went into the salon and Miny was working on another client and her assistant took me in and washed my hair. The assistant was sweet and did a good job just washing my hair then I sat down and the other client was under the hood thing drying. All is well so far and I'm excited! Miny asks me a couple questions about what I want I told her I'd like to frame my face a little and wanted layers she said great. She cuts my hair and about half way through the other client I guess was done drying so she has her assistant help her and Miny literally speed cuts the rest of my hair, hands me a mirror and tells me to check it out and helps the other client. I realized she cut my hair in a V shape in the back and I didn't like it. I told her I would rather have it straight across and she told me to play around with it and style it and if I didn't like it I could come back and cut it again for free. This is all while she is working on the other client. She handed me a couple different products and I STYLED MY OWN HAIR. She had her assistant give me a diffuser and I DIFFUSED MY OWN HAIR. If my haircut was good I literally would not care about my experience I'm pretty easy going and don't need anything special I just wanted a cut! But I was so confused and didn't leave because I thought maybe she was going to do something else? Nope. So I left after finishing my own hair and I fully planned on coming in asap for her to fix it. (I don't have pictures of the first cut but it was pretty much the same thing but a little longer). I was giving her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she she booked the times off or something and just needed me to come at a different time. Fine. I go back in (after two days of I called her, she told me she'd call me back, didn't, I made an online appointment then she called me the next day) she has a young girl she is working on but has her assistant just brushing out her hair to get ready so she comes over to help me. I sit down and explain to her that I want my hair straight across the back and more layers. She started brushing out my hair dry which was weird because she washed it first the last time (even though she should have cut my hair mostly dry to begin with since that's how you cut curls). She pinned up the top half of my hair and cut it straight and showed me and I said great! She continued to layer my hair and when she was done I couldn't really tell what it was like because it was cut dry so it was just huge brushed out curls and once again she didn't finish my hair.. I could tell it was a little shorter than I'd love but I was fine with that...I assumed it was still straight across in the back but it wasn't until I got home and wet my hair down that I realized it was the same exact problem but this time it was much worse because she tried to give me lots of layers like I asked but instead I ended up for lots of short hair in the front and one little long section in the back. Literally a mullet. Check out the pictures. One picture shows the full V shape but I had my friend cut the very tip of the V off for me with my kitchen scissors so the rest are after that...And as you can see one side is longer than the other in the front. I'm devastated.

This is what I wanted and I told them to make it an even straight cut

Minela paid close attention and has a very effective teaching style, she clearly cares about her reputation and it's obvious how she earned it. For Anne being brand new she did an absolutely amazing job and I'm thrilled to see how far she makes it in the industry. She paid close attention to detail, craved feedback and you could tell she genuinely cared about the work she was doing as well as customer satisfaction. Overall I'm VERY happy with the service my husband and I have received at Seattle SMP- just make the consultation, you'll be sucked in and happy you took the plunge. Thanks to this team of ladies I'm entering the summer with a high pony-tail and WAY less obvious hair thinning. Cannot thank you both, enough, for the confidence we've both gained.

You will not regret it. My hair has been thinning for awhile. I've tried everything to fix the way it looks. I used Rogaine for a long time until it started burning my scalp. I've tried hair pieces. I've tried using tinted dry shampoo. I've tried microfibers you sprinkle in your hair. Nothing was really the answer, because even if I could get it looking mostly ok, I'd always have to take a shower and wash it out and then live with myself at home looking bald. So, knowing it was going to be expensive I decided to at least reach out and see what could be done. Google turned up MM Seattle with the five star rating and how could I go anyplace else? I'm so glad I found Minela! Here are some things to know: She's super cool but totally chill and easy to talk to. Do not be intimidated by how cool she looks! Her studio is clean and bright and welcoming. It's not a spa like some places and it's not a tattoo parlor, either. She is passionate about covid protocols. The large windows are open and there is an a/c vent blowing right in your face, which means she's not breathing directly on you. I was afraid it would be challenging to get there from Renton, or to find it, but it was neither. Just thinking about going on the West Seattle Bridge and navigating around that area gives me hives but it turned out to be really easy to get to. There isn't a lot of parking but once you get used to the layout, I never had trouble finding parking in the area. And, of course, there is the result! My hair has never been thick but in the last few years, it's been THIN. You can't see the dots at all, even though the overall effect is a full head of hair. I can put my hair in a ponytail or wear it down with a part. I can make a part anywhere, which is extra cool. So yes, it was expensive, but it was for me, and my only regret is not doing it earlier. If you have thinning hair but you're not completely bald, I wanted to make sure you have a picture for reference because when I was looking for examples, I only found one picture of long hair. You're welcome!!

From the very first appointment, it was clear how much he genuinely cares about his patients--not just clinically, but personally too. I've struggled with rosacea for years, and he is the first practitioner who has addressed it so thoroughly, thoughtfully, and with such care. I'm so grateful. I've had three Excel V laser treatments with Dr. Greene, and each one has been such a positive experience. He goes above and beyond to ensure comfort--offering small but meaningful touches like stress balls to squeeze, talking through every step, and having his assistant use a cold roller throughout. These details made such a difference in helping me feel calm and cared for. I've never felt so at ease during a medical treatment. Dr. Greene also takes the time to really explain things--he has a screen mounted on the wall that shows helpful graphics about skin and treatments, and he walks you through it in a way that's clear, respectful, and empowering. He even followed up with a personal phone call when I had questions. His staff is just as wonderful--kind, responsive, and knowledgeable. I've never felt pressured to buy anything or pursue services I don't need. The whole environment is one of respect, support, and true partnership in care. If you're looking for someone who combines deep expertise with genuine empathy, I can't recommend Dr. Greene enough.

The Hair Club - Tukwila, Washington…read more I'm writing this review because I don't want anyone else to go through what I did at The Hair Club in Tukwila. I met with a lady named Susan for a hair loss consultation. Her assistant took pictures of my hair while she explained that my hair was in very poor condition and said I was the "perfect candidate" for their program -- which would cost around $8,000-$9,000. I told her I couldn't decide right away because that's a lot of money, and I wanted to research and compare other clinics. But she kept pressuring me, saying I could "lock in a discount" if I put down a $1,000 deposit right then to receive some products and a laser hat. I paid with my PayPal MasterCard, thinking I'd get the laser hat in the mail. But after doing more research, I found so many bad reviews from people saying this place only cares about money. I immediately felt uneasy and decided not to move forward. When I told Susan I wanted to cancel, I offered to pay just for the products, but she said the $1,000 couldn't be refunded because I was already "locked into the program." I never received the laser hat, and PayPal didn't help either. Now I'm left with a bag full of unopened products (photo attached) that cost me over $1,100. The whole experience was stressful, misleading, and left me feeling taken advantage of. Please be careful before signing or paying anything here. Take your time, read reviews, and don't let anyone pressure you the way they did to me. I truly hope this helps someone else avoid the same mistake.
