I love seafood and was disappointed in their lack of variety. The food was okay but not the best Thai that I've eaten. I would go back if in a pinch. read more

We arrived with out of town guests At the door itself, a young hostess, rattled off rules of engagement, so it would seem. She came to the part where she said that if anyone was vegetarian, there is no curry, pad thai or several other items except for fried rice as everything will have pre-prepared fish oil in all the sauces. We were stunned at the drill sergeant like attitude. Perhaps she did not know.,,, better. It sent a very negative energy We were happy to consider another restaurant which was awesome! read more

I ordered several items. Their dining room is closed, but you can order take out over the phone or even delivery via the usual apps. I chose take out and they gave me an approximate pickup time. Food was ready when I arrived. They have plexiglass installed for Covid protection. Everything was well packaged and nothing spilled out, even the thai iced tea. I got the shrimp pad thai, chicken massaman curry, shrimp rolls, some fresh spring rolls, and sticky rice with mango. They included some side salads with the order which was a nice surprise. Overall pretty pleased with what I ordered and will be back to try some other things. read more

So glad to have a Thai place in this area with authentic dishes! The prices are reasonable and the food taste delicious! Trust them when they say it's spicy. Beware the chili flakes. You can always ask for mild/medium spice level. read more

First off I'd like to say that when we picked up our food it was late and the lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and our food was sitting out all packaged up ready to go and our cashier was so nice and it really made my night. The thai iced tea was great and I think they have a few varieties with a twist on it I'd like to try. The coconut rice tasted good but came like all bundled up in a little strange ball which was unusual. I didn't realize at the time but I think the entrees do come with regular rice because we got an extra box of rice. The taro custard I couldn't pass up because I love taro, and it sounded unique. It was really good! It was kinda like a wet heavy cake, maybe like a tres leches cake? It definitely had a strong potatoey flavor which made it a really earthy cake which would be great for people who don't like things too sweet, or if you just love taro/potatoes like I do. I wanted to get duck but it was a little out of budget with all the other things I wanted to try, but next time I want to go for it because I love duck and it's hard to find anywhere except thai places. Unfortunately our food was a little cold because we live kinda far away but that's alright. I can't wait to return when COVID is over. read more

Great Thai food especially considering we're out here in New Jersey - get the Thai iced tea get the wings delicious

I was beyond ecstatic to find this new Thai restaurant, located so conveniently near a place that I go to every day. This is located in a large strip shopping plaza, next to Bagel Bazaar, just a mile North of the Englishtown Auction. The place is brand new and sparking clean. You can reserve a table to eat inside, while safely distanced, or you can order take-out. If you like giving your money away, you can order delivery through the usual suspects: Grubby Hub, Door Dishes, etc. These places rip off the business owner, and the customer at the same time, with outrageous fees and over-priced delivery charges. I never order from these rip-off artists, but you do you. Back to my review...I order the Crispy Pork (with crispy cracklins/skin) with cashews, Vegetables, and pineapple. One bite, of the pork and you will think you are on a vacation in southeast Asia, sampling authentic Thai food from the world famous street food vendors in Bangkok, Pattaya, or Chiang Mai. An absolutely delicious dish, with bright, crunchy vegetables, sweet fruit, and a tasty sauce. Every Thai restaurant makes Pad Thai, the famous thin noodle dish, with bean sprouts. I ordered mine with grilled shrimp - all the shrimp were firm and toothsome, delicious noodles, topped with ground peanuts. One of the best Pad Thai dishes I've ever eaten anywhere! For dessert, we had the coconut sticky rice with big slices of mango. We gobbled it down with its side container of coconut creme, as if we weren't already busting from their very generous portions. Fair prices, quite reasonable, I think. Freshly made, top quality food. Gregarious and friendly owners and employees. It took fifteen minutes to make my order, and it was neatly packaged and ready for me when I arrived. Wow - they are fast too. I now have a new favorite Thai restaurant, conveniently located nearby my work. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular. read more

Let me start off by saying the service here is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The portions are very reasonable for the prices. The food is fresh, flavorful, authentic, and well packaged to-go. My order: Absolute salad - the greens were fresh and the presentation was very nice, and the sesame ginger dressing was delicious! Red curry w/ chicken - very spicy, just how I like it. The veggies were cooked well and not too hard. The flavors and aromas were perfect. Thai basil vegetarian fried rice - spicier than expected, very flavorful. 10/10 would come back here. read more

Absolute Thai - Best Thai food in central jersey area . Pad Thai was perfect . And staff is always amazing - Thai Near Me - Monroe Township, New Jersey

The food was good, but not the best Thai I've ever had. The tom kha kai soup was very lemony, but not spicy at all. The spice level for the massaman curry is listed as mild, but zero would be more accurate. Spice aside, the dish just wasn't very flavorful. Same with the pad Thai. I found everything to be a bit bland. Wife's basil chicken dish was a bit better. I'll try spicier dishes next time, but kinda disappointed that my favorites were so boring. read more

The food is very good. Fresh and great sauces. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating

Wow, wow, wow! It's that good! Fresh ingredients and so delicious. And, very kind people. Here's a photo of our red snapper with eggplant and fried tofu basil, an Absolute Special. Even our very picky eater son loved it! The Salmon Tangerine is to die for! Sorry, we ate it so fast, I couldn't take a photo in time. read more

Absolute Thai - Drunken Noodle - Thai Near Me - Monroe Township, New Jersey

Good food, good service and nice quiet atmosphere. Recommend the shrimp and chicken dumplings and Pad Thai.

My husband and I have ordered here close to 20 times between takeout and delivery through doordash. Every time the food is consistently great. Every item is full of flavor, the perfect spice, not too salty, and cooked perfectly. Some of our favorite items are the green curry***, drunken noodles, and red curry. Also, the Tom Kha soup and anything with duck. 10/10 recommend! read more

The owner of the restaurant is beyond rude and unmannerly. She talks down to customers and stares at you rather than acknowledging your entrance into the restaurant. The lady that runs the restaurant is by far the worst in the area. Learning how to talk to customers will only help your business grow. The food is average at best. Thai food in Old Bridge is a lot better. read more

Went on date with my son. We tried Absolute Thai for first time. The service was fine and portions were very large. The ambiance was ok. Overall food was just ok. read more

Good food and ambiance, and good service for in-restaurant dining. Priced right. However, it seems to be a more popular take-out place.

I was beyond excited for a Thai restaurant to open up in our area! Tonight we decided to switch up our usual Monday meal & order from this local small business & let me tell you no one was disappointed! We ordered the green curry chicken, drunken noodles with chicken,Tom Kha Kai Soup, & Pad Se-eew, & the Thai Iced tea (a must!!)... and we were amazed. The food was delicious & the customer service was even better. Coming from a family with some picky eaters surrounding spice we loved being able to customize the spice levels on the website. My family and I are so happy to have found our new favorite Thai spot in the area, thanks so much for a delicious meal. We cannot wait to order again. read more

Will not return. Better value at other local Thai restaurants. Not enough quality ingredients.

Truly obsessed with Absolute Thai - not only is the food amazing the staff is so sweet. They are in our takeout rotation on the regular. Obvisouly the drunk noodles are the best but I also love the apps and salads...and if you don't get a Thai iced tea you're missing out. 10/10 read more

We finally had the privilege to dine at our favorite Thai place in NJ ! Since we moved to Texas Rd in Oldbridge we have been doing take outs for almost two years now. The place is so cute inside and extremely clean. The owner was such an awesome host, it's hard to describe her in words Just like any other business, hiring good help has been their challenge as well but she did not make us feel she was doing front and back of house all by herself. Food felt like it was coming out in a quick pace and she even followed up with us several times during the course of the night. My friends loved it and we can't wait to go back there next week read more

Wow. First experience was amazing. Big protection screen around the register area to help prevent the spread of covid. The man behind the register was nice and friendly. The food was quality and super flavorful. Will definitely be back again very soon! read more

Best Thai food in central NJ. Go to spot for me and my wife. Fresh, clean, delicious. Love this place

I love this place and go often. At my last visit as always the food was amazing. I particularly like their style of Thai (there are different style such as Northern Thai, etc). The atmosphere was warm and quaint. But mostly though the staff is so friendly and works so hard to give such a pleasant dining experience. I highly recommend them and trying their spring rolls. read more

If you are looking for great food, amazing service, and a warm atmosphere, look no further. My husband Dave and I have been frequenting Absolute Thai for over a year. From the spring rolls, the entree and dessert are always delicious and amazing. June and Tonya are also the best. They are very accommodating to dietary restrictions as much as they can be without compromising the integrity of the dish. If you are looking for great Thai food, Absolute Thai is the best. read more

Well, I give it 3.4999 stars rounmded down to 3. Why ? Well the Tom Yum soup had two shrimps and a bunch of mushrooms. I expected a bit more veggies - The drunken noodles was ok, shrimps not large. My wife did not like the pad thai, she said too sweet, no bean sprouts, and she didn't think the mushrooms were fresh in her coconut soup. During these times I feel for these mom and pop restaurants. In the past I enjoyed the Thai restauant called "Pad Thai" on Rt27 in Highland Park (near the falfal place), and nThai on route 18 in East Brunswick. I guess to me Absolute Thai was nothing special - better than the place on Rt 9 in Manalapan, and just a bit under Pokok (sp?) in Freehold. My mouth waters when I see a Thai restaurant on Diners Drive Ins and Dives, IMHO, none of the restaurants around here would rate on that show. read more

3.4 star The flavor was subtle, but good on my Cashew w/shrimp. My wife had Sweet and Sour w/chicken which had some chili in it and was too spicy for her to eat. The menu did not indicate that there were any spice in the dish. I'm trying to lay off the spicy food, so not sure there are many options that appeal to me. But I might try the Sweet and Sour because it wasn't too spicy for me. I will probably be back. read more
