    General Tso's Chicken
    Erin H.

This is my favorite Chinese food place in town. The food here is always consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. The family is very friendly and if you're ever looking to try something new, don't hesitate to ask about things on the menu, they're really great about explaining flavors, and what dishes are made up of. Our normal go to's are Fried Dumplings (well done for a little extra crisp), general Tso's chicken (FYI, it's all white meat!) and Cashew Chicken. I was not crazy about their chicken and broccoli but the cashew chicken was way better then I even wanted the chicken and broccoli to be. Other notable mentions we enjoy are the beef and broccoli, pepper steak, Chicken fried rice, chicken on a stick, and jumbo fried shrimp (on the appetizer menu).

Everytime I get this I just ramble on how no one rates Chinese food places on here. Best around and a hidden gem. Pork always delicious, solid general Tao's chicken, soups, apps. Just well done food. Service is great and even with the prices jumping a bit still feel money well spent. Think I've tried it all. Pro tip: get a side of garlic sauce. Dip sweet and sour chicken in it, wontons, egg rolls, then a nice chicken cutlet homemade. I'd put that shit on anything

Sesame chicken was good but the fried rice is definitely not fried. Just plain yellow rice & very bland. Service was good though.

The service was good and attentive, and the food was equally impressive. We ordered the pork fried rice, which was very flavorful, along with fantastic spare ribs that were cooked perfectly. The shrimp lo mein and beef with broccoli were both delicious and generously portioned. There were only a few minor drawbacks: the tea was a bit weak, and the Chinese mustard lacked the kick I was expecting and I asked for Hotsauce and received those little packets, these were small issues in an otherwise excellent meal. If you're looking for quality Chinese food with a comfortable dine-in atmosphere, Chung Sing is a hidden gem that's well worth a visit. Highly recommended!

This is a very old school Chinese restaurant. We found the food to pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. They have a dinner special which is $38 for 2 people. With tax and tip, you are looking at around $47. You each get a soup, appetizer, share a main entree and ice cream. This past Saturday we ate there. We each had eggdrop wonton mixed soup. Standard soup, good, but nothing special. We had BBQ spareribs and Chicken Brochettes. Both were great. The Brochette are chunks of Chicken thigh meat grilled on a stick, marinated in some sort of red marinade. The BBQ ribs are chineses bbq ribs. The entre was called Happy Family. It was a monstrous platter of Chicken, Pork, Shrimp and the usual Chinese vegetables, in a brown sauce with a bunch of fried wontons on top. Very good. It also comes with a full order of Pork Fried Rice. Lastly, the pistachio ice cream we had was great. I wish they sold it in a pint to take home.

I was here on a Tuesday, so it was very slow, there was only one woman running the front of the house. But, they had some takeout orders going out every so often. That being said, the food is really yummy! I was here with my mom and we each had a hot and sour soup. It was fine, but when you add some of the side of black vinegar and picketed ginger... it was very tasty! We shared the dan dan noodles which were delicious! We also had the crab and pork soup dumplings which were hot and tasty. Finally, we split the stir fries beef filet with scallions and miso which was great! The beef was really tender and the s asinine was spot on. This is a great place to come when you want good food with no frills.

The restaurant is big, with one wall donning a mural of white flowers and the opposite wall holding decorative windows and decorations. The special drinks station can be seen near the front, a little bok choy statue propped up on the counter. A flat screen TV can also be seen mounted to one of the restaurant's dividers as well, with two others mounted on the back walls too. We ordered the following: S11- Wontons in Chili Oil- we didn't order this but it was a happy accident order. It turned out the server misheard us and ordered this instead of the dumplings. So, we said no problem and ordered the steamed dumplings, as well. We ended up liking the wontons. S12- Steamed dumplings 6 pieces- this was a slight disappointment in that the dumpling skin was the same as the wonton skin. I was expecting it to be a bit doughier and thick. Instead, it was thin. The dumpling was pretty good and spicy but I was expecting the wrap to be different. We got swayed when we saw it on their tv screen and was expecting it to be thicker. H17- spicy pot with lotus root, mushrooms, tripe, shrimp, ham, potatoes with sesame. There weren't any lotus roots in there. This was very spicy. Hubs liked it a lot and was happy that there were plenty of tripe for him to have. V1- mapo tofu with minced pork- this was pretty tasty and spicy F8- Typhoon Fish Fillet- I always wanted to try this style of fish, so the minute I saw it, I knew I had to get it. Hubs didn't realize that it was fried fish and we didn't know how it was prepared. It's fish fillets and heavily seasoned mixed with onions, shallots, salt and pepper, spicy pepper. According to him, it was heavenly seasoned. LOL. We let the server be aware of peanut allergy and she said that we could order anything we wanted and they won't add peanuts to it. Originally, we were going to go to another restaurant but that was closed for that day. Glad that place was closed and we came here! Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!

I placed a fairly large order for our party of six to make sure there was something for everyone: Alaskan Roll Chicken Lo Mein Chicken with Cashew Nuts Cucumber Roll Edamame Miso Soup Sashimi Regular Sautéed Mixed Vegetables Scallion Pancake Seaweed Salad Spicy Trio Roll Spring Rolls Sushi Regular Sushi Rice Tuna Avocado Roll Vegetable Fried Rice White Rice The positives: * Order was ready on time. * Hot dishes were served hot. * The scallion pancakes were very tasty. * The Chicken with Cashew Nuts was flavorful, although a bit heavy. * The miso soup was good. * The edamame was fresh and well prepared. * The cucumber roll and tuna avocado roll were standard fare but decent. The negatives: * No one in our group liked the mixed vegetables or the lo mein. Both were in a heavy sauce. * Fried rice was also heavy * The spring rolls were greasy. * The Spicy Trio Roll was disappointing. It was essentially a basic roll topped with a simple spicy sauce and reminded us more of grocery store sushi than restaurant-quality sushi. * The sushi and sashimi were also underwhelming and had that same grocery store quality. Bottom line: If you're looking for a quick, convenient meal and need food ready on time, Tasty Kitchen gets the job done. However, based on this visit, I would only return if my preferred Asian food restaurants weren't available.
