I also got the tofu and veggies, which we dripping in a nice sweet, but balanced sauce and very fresh veggies. I think what really makes this place a win is that their sushi is good! The best Chinese food I've EVER had. It's not greasy. it's fresh and great. I love it every single time I go there. So glad my friends told me about it. I love the easy ordering online. Boneless spareribs were terrible- dry and overcooked. Crab rangoons were a little fishy, and a little under fried. Dumplings were good. The chicken with mixed veg was bland and so was the fried rice. General tsaos was good, but could have been a little crunchier. Overall, nothing was bad, but nothing was spectacular. I had been meaning to try this place for a long time. Finally I tried it the other day. First of all this place is about 15% higher priced than my normal go to. I figured I would try them out because it was on my way home. I called in my order and I was told 15 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes and had to wait 20 minutes to get my order. At this point the time I thought I was going to save time by going to a place on my way was no longer worth it. Now to the food. They had a quality egg roll. The wontons in the soup were mushy although the broth was fine. I got boneless bbq ribs. They should call it jerky as they were so tough after eating a couple I just threw it out. I ordered the sushi and other things that my family enjoys. We were digging in and I discovered a piece of hair in my sushi. My husband and I order in at least twice a week and the food is delivered fast, always hot and so good, seasoned well with all the extras. I gave this place 5 stars but on the condition that you're in the mood for standard American style Chinese food, not the "authentic" stuff you'd get in Chinatown. Just like McDonald's hits the spot once in awhile though, some unhealthy fried dumplings and pork lo mein with white rice does as well, and when it does this is the place I always go. They do what they do very well, better than basically all the others in the East Middlesex County area, delivery if fast, and the food is always hot when it gets to my place. This is my second review of China Express and it is completely going to negate the first one I wrote which was last January of 2013. Basically, this place WAS our go-to Chinese restaurant but it looks like we will now have to find a new one. Why, you may ask? Well, I am not sure if the owners or the cook changed, but the food has been completely different in the past few months, and that's in a bad way. They used to sell a wonton soup that contained, without a doubt, homemade broth and fresh house made wontons. Not anymore. Now it is the generic wonton soup with frozen wontons and standard broth--you can get that anywhere people. Why, oh why did you have to change it? Secondly, the quality of the lo mein has been downgraded. It is not the s ame at all; the noodles are greasy and mushy and gone are the distinct flavors and fresh taste. Lastly, my husband, who orders steamed chicken with vegetables said that they no longer use the freshest veggies, and the chicken is not the same...it is not well trimmed and the dish is just bland. If these basic dishes aren't good, I wouldn't even want to try the "special" ones. What a complete waste of money on our dinner last night. Bring back your old cook or owner or I will just have to go elsewhere. read more

I have been coming here since they first opened up. I know the owners, and they are such great people. They have watch me grow up. They are friendly, and definitely know how to run an immaculate business. I rarely ever eat Chinese from any other place. I would travel an hour if I had to just to get food from here. The food is absolutely AMAZING. I absolutely love their dishes with their garlic sauce. TO DIE FOR. Their prices are reasonable and they give you a very decent amount of food.
