We called around 8:40 PM, and they told us the kitchen would take its last order at 9 PM. Luckily, we made it just in time (around 9:02 PM), and they were kind enough to accommodate us. The ambiance was beautiful, with elegant golden décor hanging from the ceiling that gave the place a warm and inviting feel. We quickly ordered the Drunken Noodles and Basil Fried Rice, and to our surprise, the food arrived in just five minutes! The Drunken Noodles were easily the highlight of the meal, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Basil Fried Rice, however, was a bit disappointing as the rice was hard and chewy. Since it was closing time and we were starving, I didn't feel like complaining. Overall, I'd still say it's a solid choice for Thai food lovers in Central Jersey. The menu offers plenty of authentic Thai favorites, and based on our experience, I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

In addition, their lunch menu is a nice tour de Bangkok of their fairly broad offerings. Given the place was empty but for one other customer, I enjoyed this deal completely. All servers had a hand in delivering my meal to me, and I felt well attended to. The small bowl of Tom Yum Soup was loaded with veggies (carrot slivers, string beans, mushrooms, onion, baby corn & broccoli), and was heavily spiced with lemongrass. Woke up my lips and gums nicely. Alerted my sinuses to be ready to run. The Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles - 2.5 on the heat scale) was a full plate of broad noodles in a heavy Thai sauce and all the above vegetables. While the sauce could have been a bit wetter to improve the overall texture of the ingredients, it was still quite good. I finished less than half the dish and took the rest home. This was a generous dinner at luncheon price. The price point was right given the size of the meal and pleasant ambiance of the kitchen, dining room and entire staff. Four Phuket Stars for Phirom.

I always request mild spice level, but it seems that "mild" is always translated to "no spice" which is not what I'm after, so I end up adding my own Thai chili flakes at home. I've asked for medium on a couple occasions, which came out to the appropriate medium level, so I wish they could just knock that down a hair for a mild level when I'm looking for a little less spice. Most of the time, they are pretty quick, but there were two separate occasions where I had to wait 15+ minutes after the estimated time for my order. I'll keeping stopping here and I hope they can make the tweaks necessary to improve the dining experience.
