When I called insurance to find the next step, I was told they have to send it to another company, for some reason. It came to a head at the end of September, and they finally agreed to just pay a base fee for coverage based on the plan. Prior to this, NO MENTION of a cap payout prior! They provided a quote and phone number to do the job from one of the plumbers who came out. It was an LLC. When I searched the phone number, it was linked to a plumber and a driving school! Needless to say, did not go with them. Now, the reason we are here... along came Peace of Mind plumbing. Mike arrived as promised, quoted the job, and provided a date to install, no fuss, no muss. The installation date came, and it was magic. From the delivery of a new boiler, the breakdown, the tow-away of the old unit, and the installation, everything was flawless and clean. She wanted to know if he could come tomorrow (the forecast calls for 5 inches of snow, think he'll make it?) I said no, and explained that as she knows, i canceled on another plumber because she said this was their only availability. And then I explained that I also have a job that I will now be going in 4 hours late to, for no reason, and will be there 4 hours late tonight to make up the time. Lisa said "sorry" but sounded anything but sorry. Thanks for nothing. Instead of a 20 minute commute to work on my ferry, I'll now have a 45 minute commute as I go through 2 different modes of transport to get to the office (which I wouldn't mind if these jerks had shown up).
