Second visit (Promised by their office as a $O warranty call): The technician applied a cosmetic putty patch ("thumb gum") to the exterior cabinet rather than performing a mechanical repair. He then completed unauthorized maintenance and added a $385 plan renewal charge on-site. The Service Manager refused a refund. I filed formal disputes for both charges with my credit card company, which returned my money in full after reviewing the voicemail and email evidence. Substandard trade work and incorrect billing.

The original much more critical 1 star review is below and it is all still very true but they have as of mid August 2025 rectified some of their errors by honoring repairs and warranties that Amana refuses to honor. Does that completely erase all the errors that have been made along the road? Honestly no they do not, but I appreciate that they are currently doing their best to repair what was wrong. They very well might be a very good company but my wife and I's recent experience has been rocky at best. Update to a 3 -3.5 star rating. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW. : Based off of positive reviews on Yelp and Google my wife and I chose to buy a new HVAC unit from Aireserv Eureka in August of 2024. In no less than 3 MONTHS our unit broke down, something was literally smoking, due to a failure to install the unit properly. Then in March of 2025 we discovered that they installed a unit that for natural gas, which we do not have, instead of propane WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN SINCE THE PIPES ARE APPARENTLY VERY DIFFERENT. So yet another overhaul was made. Then in June of 2025 we started to notice the coldest we could get the house was 75 degrees. So we called for another checkup and they "supposedly" fixed it, saying it had been improperly calibrated during installation. But one month later, in July, our unit broke down AGAIN. This time completely, leaving our house in the 90s. Now as I right this in August of 2025 THE HOTTEST PART OF THE YEAR they have yet to fix my unit. Week after week, yes you have read that correctly, it has been weeks since we called them to fix our unit, we have had to call them over 20 times. So far we are at week 3 and moving soon to 4. Airserve Eureka's horrible service has so far consistented of misdiagnosis, instillation of wrong parts, incorrect calibration of the unit, and long waits (4+ days) while a part ships. They have given an excuse for everything, always blaming someone else (Amana). According to them, none of this is their fault. They are playing the victim of corporate manufacturing. But, why would you want to reach out to a company who has no control over the services they offer? We then said, since there are so many issues with my unit from the start and I am still under warranty, why don't they just install a new unit. So far they have refused to honor the warranty because Amana won't. I'm not writing this bad review out of spite but as a civic duty to report incompetence in what is falsely sold as good. I hope those of you reading this heed my warning about Airserve Eureka. They are just plain terrible. UPDATE: In mid late August 2025. Aireserv Eureka decided to ignore Amana's horrible lack of honoring our warranty and installed a new RUUD unit. Let's hope this goes better than this last year's trials. I'd definitely not recommend Amana for a future HVAC regardless of the positive reviews they have online. Eureka honestly doesn't deserve a stellar 5 star review but they have tried to do right currently so perhaps they again as mentioned above deserve more a 3-3.5 Star rating.

Over Labor Day weekend I had Elite out as my AC went out. The technician came out and replaced the…read morecapacitor. In testing the fan motor, the motor was free spinning without any resistance or slowing/drag observed. The unit started up. One week later, the unit went out again, but this time the fan motor was locked up. The fan motor and the capacitor replaced and the unit started up. During this second repair the technician took the capacitor I had purchased for $500 (a part online for $25), did a test, didn't report the numbers to me, and told me he was placing the part back into inventory on his truck. I reached out to Elite after this repair asking for a refund of the capacitor in the amount of $300 to so that the technicians repair time was covered for the holiday time the week before, and they refused. My rational for the refund, and my concern, is that there is a potential that the capacitor to replace the originally failed one was used, given the apparent practice of technicians using old/worn parts that have been placed back into their inventory. While the technician stated that the capacitor still tested ok, given that this specific capacitor was installed during the motor lockup, it is inherently altered and worn. Wit this practice, I am concerned that such a used capacitor was installed on my unit with the fan working properly, and thus caused overheating of the motor with a weakened capacitor. Elite has offered no refund at this time, and I have canceled all of my extended families' services with the organization, given that they have the potential of utilizing worn parts and selling them as new parts.

We called Air Excellence due to a minor smell of gas when the heat would kick on. Brad came by and checked our entire furnace out. Made sure everything was looking normal. After he cleaned everything up and put it all back together we ran a few test runs to see if we could still smell the gas. We could and he recommended we call Laclede to get out here and check to see what was going on. I am very thankful he did. He could have gave some bs reason as to why it was leaking charge me an absurd amount of money and move on to the next job but he didn't. Brad stayed at the house until Laclede showed up and gave him a brief run down. After about 3 hours of searching Laclede finally found the leak. I called Brad back to tell him what we found and the part that needed to be fixed. He asked if he wanted me to have him come fix it right then and I told him tomorrow would be fine. Brad got me a quick price quote and everything the next morning and was out the next afternoon. He replaced the control valve in about 30 minutes and was on his way. Overall this was a great experience for a new home buyer. Brads price was amazing and his professional was second to none. I will be calling him for all Ac/heating needs from now on.

I had to have 2 different techs come out because the 1st guy was just for a quote to replace the unit, but he advised my problem could be resolved with a simple repair. Each person I engaged with was extremely nice and helpful--Terry and my other guy's name I can't remember. They went above and beyond what I could have expected. My total cost was between $200 and $250 for service call fee + 30 mins of work. All they did was adjust my wires and ran codes on the unit to make sure I did not need freon. Oh, he also gave me a new filter and patched up a whole I had. It seemed a tad bit pricey for the average consumer, but I did not mind paying because I believe in quality over quantity. Also, I liked they did not charge me an extra fee to pay with card.

The initial repair left a cut electrical wire next to a gas furnace... a very Critical mistake, that took a ton of begging to get anyone to try to fix..which included living, dismissive claims that it wasn't bad, wasn't repairable, would require a few days to repair,...leaving my neighbors and I with a potential explosion that could be bad...Finally the father came with a wire in a few hours (that supposedly would take days to special order) and while he did replace the dangerous one that they cut, he admitted that the $1000 repair i paid for, seemed to have done nothing. I said, yes, it sounds and acts exactly the same. His behavior was odd, refusing to understand that I was justifiable upset by all the danger I was left in, the excuses and lied to not have to make it safe, then the admission that I gave them a large amount of money that did nothing...and he kept saying he'd fix it. Sounds responsible... but after so much h dangerous unprofessional behavior, the last thing I was up for was trusting any of them to do anything more than prevent the explosion they were perfectly fine leaving me with... So I said, no thankyou... At which time, and I learned to record anytime I had a service person at my house when I was alone, so its taped..he refused to listen and set about taking things apart as I asdetuoveky asked him to please stop. He kept demanding he was going to fix it.....it was late, it'd been a very scary, long day, begging them with many phone calls to just undo the danger with a wire replacement. It was very uncomfortable as I had to ask him to leave and usher him upstairs and out of my home. I will never hire them again based on this horrible incident (s)... And I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the $1000 that I paid them. The furnace died after I paid them to fix what they said it needed, and the sound of loud friction was even obvious to Mr Goldkamp, who wanted to fix it... I had to find a repairman who showed up quickly and showed me that they hadn't really done anything needed, and went about fixing the fan blade that was rubbing against something internally. It took him a short time. I didnt need a new anything... just a piece of metal bent a bit...There was no live wire left by him after he left, next to a combustible motor full of gas, he didnt lie to me, tell me it probably wont explode!, no danger, he didnt take a lot of money, and he restored my heat easily on a below freezing day with no appointment, He did it with integrity and encouraged me to be careful with companies that would ever behave that way... Goldkamp had also given me four separate completely conflicting diagnoses of what was wrong, and the health of my heat and a/c. If I'd believed them, I'd have replaced a fairly new and perfectly good a/c unit ... The younger Goldkamp gave me two different assessments that contradicted each other, no explanation why,... his father, a new one, and the man they sent out to do the repair told me his opinion of all that my furnace and a/c were doing..all of their reports were 180°different from each other. So, after they refund my debit card, for the $1000 they took to terrorize me, cause an explosion hazard, and leave me worse off, I plan on sticking with the young man who earned my trust and fixed their damage. Our AC went out the other day, and I gave Dole a call. It was after hours so no one picked up, I…read moredidn't leave a message, but I did still received a call back. The lady on the phone was very nice and scheduled a tech to come out the very next day in the morning. My time window was 8am-12am. I received a text and an email confirming my appointment. On the email link, you can also see the name and picture of the tech that will be coming out. The next day I received an alert at about 10am notifying me that the tech was on the way. The status email showed me his GPS location! I thought this was a really nice feature, it gave me an idea of about how far he was away. Justin was my HVAC tech. He wore a mask and shoe covers when he entered the house. I explained the issue I was having, and he first took a look indoors. He quickly found the problem was a leak in the evaporator coil. Justin presented me with all my options and facts and let me make my own decision. At no point was he pushy or trying to sell me extra services. I had some other HVAC questions, and he welcomed those and answered them and provided good suggestions. Since one of the options was a full replacement of my unit, on the same day I received a call from the Dole sales rep. He said he was able to come out that same day to give me some options of replacing the AC unit. He was courteous, came out, took a look, and we spoke through options. I was provided quotes on the same day within about 15 mins. I was very impressed with Dole and will definitely be using them again for any HVAC related jobs!
