While the company is replacing the unit, the amount of time, hassle, and frustration involved -- especially at this price point -- was not worth it. I would not recommend this company.

He only collected $90, which is what they told me on the phone, but he thought he should charge me more since he has done some work. We put a towel on the gap to trap the water but The leak SHOWED UP LATER AGAIN. I called back to ask for an immediate call back but they said it would be $300 minimum since it would be on the weekend. I decided to wait until Monday and on Monday they told me it would be Tuesday and they would charge me more if it is not plumbing related. I couldn't take any more work off so I had to cancel the service. Another company came over early morning to investigate again and they ran all fixture and cut the dry wall and finally found THREE trim nails had been shot into hot water pex piping in three locations in the master bedroom behind vanity. It was bad and my baseboard and dry wall are all molded. I just feel the plumber was unprofessional because there was not rust in the gap, the leak's location didn't match the gap, and all he did was run some water without even cutting the drywall to properly assess the leak and he only ran the cold water for some reason. Even though I accidentally turned on the hot water, the plumber said it wasn't necessary. The damage could be significant since the leak spread quickly after being touched, but they told me it would cost a minimum of $300 to fix, which should have been addressed properly from the start and No warranty on work.

I hired SOS Plumbing in 2025 for a water heater replacement and paid over $2,200, expecting a…read moreprofessional, code-compliant installation. Less than a year later, while selling my home, the St. Louis County occupancy inspection failed because their installation contained clear code violations, including a missing required expansion tank and a non-compliant flex connector. When I contacted SOS Plumbing, the owner told me he intentionally didn't install the required expansion tank because he was "trying to save me some money" and didn't know I was planning to sell my home. Instead of taking responsibility for the code violations, he quoted me another $800-900 to correct his own work. I refused to pay twice for the same job and hired another licensed plumbing company, paid an additional $750 to bring the installation into compliance. A homeowner shouldn't have to tell a licensed plumber they're planning to sell their home to receive a code-compliant installation. Paying premium prices should mean getting professional work done correctly the first time--not paying someone else to fix it later. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend SOS Plumbing and would urge anyone considering to think twice before trusting these 5 star reviews! Update: Since business owner replied(pretty classic "defensive rewrite of history" response): Just to be clear. please don't reframe "code compliance" as optional upgrades. Those are not "nice-to-have upgrades". they're required for compliant installation. And please stop that "budget priority" claim. That is not true. Don't try to justify omissions on your end. did not request a non-compliant installation or decline required code-compliance work. At no point was I informed that the installation would not pass occupancy inspection or that required code items were being excluded from the work performed. The water heater installation later failed occupancy inspection during the sale of my home, requiring additional work to bring it into compliance. While scope and pricing were discussed, I relied on a licensed contractor to complete a code-compliant installation and to clearly communicate any items required for compliance at the time of service. It is not reasonable to expect a homeowner to independently identify or approve hidden code deficiencies during what was represented as a standard installation. I was not seeking a "budget" or stripped-down installation. If cost-cutting was the primary expectation, I would have chosen a different contractor. The equipment installed was a Bradford White unit, which is a professional-grade water heater, not a low-cost or economy product. I specifically chose to go with this business because they have a premium brand unit available and I know this is not a budget big box store option. So please stop bringing up that "budget" claim. The business's response is misleading and not consistent with what was communicated or agreed upon at the time of service. The characterization that I declined required code-compliance work is not accurate.

The carpet cleaning was done very quickly and the carpets look beautiful and dried very quickly. A week later they came to do my air ducts in a three story older home. No miss, or fuss. Great professional. The equipment was clean and they were very careful of my hardwood floors and painted ducts. At the end they showed me before and after pictures, recommended a couple of vents be replaced and other hints to help keep things clean. The tech was very nice and professional. A follow-up call was placed to ensure I was happy and later a thank you card. So nice to deal with people and not "bots". To top it off this bid was just under half that submitted by Academy Air and there was no upselling. Highly recommend.

Recently had AAA out to my house to repair my old shower kit. They really went above and beyond in helping me out. The technician Robbie told me that the shower handle was broken and couldn't be repaired. I worried that since the shower was so old I wouldn't be able to find a replacement. So before he left Robbie gave me his cell phone number and told me to send him pictures of the replacement kit that I bought, and he would tell me if it would work on my shower. When I was unable to find a suitable replacement kit due to its age, the people at AAA reached out to American Standard on my behalf, located a replacement in another state, had it shipped to St. Charles, and installled it within a week. Fast, friendly, professional, and most importantly affordable. Had a great experience. I called at 8:00 am on the Saturday before Christmas and they had a tech out by 9:00 that morning. Ran me through the issues with my furnace that had gone out that morning. Offered me their services plan but was not the least bit pushy. Their pricing is set up in a book that he walked me through as well. The only down side is they didn't have the part to fix my furnace that day on the truck. On Christmas eve another tech came out and fixed my furnace in about 30 mins. Super happy with the whole process. A+ service! read more

Eddie the tech from AAA came to work in bathrooms to install faucets and stopped a toilet from running. Eddie was on time, professional, answered any questions the first time he came to give estimate and when he came to perform the work, everything was done correctly. It's too complicated. You need a new system anyway- it's old" said I needed a complete replacement because they can't service my air conditioner anymore - wanted to sell me a $10k unit. Branden came over and did a long look at my unit and agreed that it was an electrical thing- apparently he WAS willing to figure out what was going wrong- got it going again and said when it stops working again to call him so he can figure out where the wiring needed replaced. Spent a long time at my house. Well, it went out a month later and he came over and did everything he could to figure out where the wiring problem was. Took a couple visits and lots of trial fixes. Said he could service my AC just fine in the future and fixed the issue- everything working again. He also has lots of options for when I do need to replace my older system- but it's not now. Very conscientious, very knowledgeable and very patient and tries very hard to fix the problem without taking shortcuts and not wanting to do the work cares more about the customer than making a big sale.
