Great pizza, kinda pricey, run down shop. We love Abo's pizza. It's so tasty but, we often find ourselves going other places to pay less. I have found a Groupon deal that I've used there 3 times. The other thing that is off putting is the location. The shop is extremely run down and not maintained. There are holes in the wall, pieces of trim missing, storage/stock items overflowing into the hallway, water stains on the ceiling, the vinyl booth bench seats are so worn down, I wouldn't even say they are vinyl anymore! I'm not a fancy person but this is too much for me. It makes me wonder what the condition of the kitchen is. They make great Pizza but, their shop needs a serious renovation! read more

Decided to order a pizza to go after a long day at work. We saw what looked to be a good deal for Abo's on Groupon so we decided to get it. I remember having Abo's in the past but couldn't really remember if it was good or bad. We got the largest size pizza the 18 inch with pepperoni. The two guys working in the shop were nice and got the pizza made FAST. The place had a nice kind of run down and simple quality to it. Might be a nice place to sit and enjoy a slice and a soda but not like a family dine in type of place. It honestly looked pretty great. We dug in and the slices are huge. Big proper New York style slices. The crust was a nice texture but not super flavorful. Pepperoni wasn't the crispy style pep that I like but had a nice zesty flavor. Not a ton of sauce and the cheese had kind of that bonded cheese pizza style to it. Didn't feel like it was going to pull off but it was a noticeable thick layer of cheese. Overall, a pretty decent pizza for a good cost with the Groupon. That being said, it is not necessarily worth going out of your way for. If you are in this neck of the woods and want a pizza there are other pizza places worth a try. The price really is right for this one though, so maybe take that into consideration. Abo's deserves a 3 and a half stars but I think settling at 3 is right. read more

I was extremely disappointed! The pick-up time was 20 minutes late, and it was way overpriced. I didn't think it was possible to screw up a plain cheese pizza, but Abo's proved me wrong. I always like to take another swing when my original review was performed at least partially inebriated. Headed back to Abo's tonight with a clear head and, sure enough, I was a little off with yesterday's review. I'm gonna call the crust *very* good now and the sauce *good*, with a slight little nuanced kick. Very tasty experience overall. Pro tip: Stick to 1 topping at most on the slices to keep em reasonably priced. The cheese-only option is also a delicious no-additional-cost option. Bumping up from 3 stars to 4. This is definitely some pretty good NY style for Louisville. read more

My order was ready when I requested it. The pizzas here are fabulous. Huge, this one was an 18" XL pizza. The only drawback was the onions, plenty of onions but white onions do not belong on a pizza, they need to be red onions for better taste and texture. Red onion would have gotten 5 stars. read more

The sausage here is really good but very spicy so if you are like me and not great with spicy, pick something else. Blatant false advertising. Web site has one price but when you call in, the prices have gone up by 23% (when inflation is only 8%). When we asked the manager when the prices went up, he said 3 months ago but they haven't had time to update the website. FTC Act The Federal Trade Commission Act, section 5, says that "unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce" are declared illegal. Come on Abo's! DO BETTER! My partner wanted NY pizza so we came here. It was ok but it did lack some flavor alas it warmed up on me as I ate it. My partner said the same but he literally ate 5 pieces. Lol. The crust is nice and thin and it had the right amount of cheese. It also had the classic nyc dinge. The staff made the place. They were amazing from start to finish. I would return in a heartbeat but it is still not quiet NY pizza but it is is good pizza. read more

This is the best pizza I've had in a long time. Great crust, impeccable application of toppings, and it was quick. We called for pick up right before they were closing but the guy on the phone was still very professional and nice. We respected our leftover pizza today buy not lazily microwaving it but taking the time to reheat it in the oven, as should you. The employees were attentive and took our order as soon as we walked up to the counter. After picking the type of pizza from their large menu board, it was only a short wait until they called my name it it was ready. Wow. My husband and I were traveling to Boulder, Colorado for a summer getaway and we were hungry for some pizza. I went to my handy-dandy blackberry and yelped Abos Pizza. Honestly being from San Francisco and having lavish Pizza restaurants on every corner, Abos looked kinda generic and plain. I was a little skeptical from the outside, but as soon as we walked in we were greeted by 3 energetic employees that made up for the bland decor. They were all very welcoming and helpful. We ordered a large supreme pizza. It didn't take too long for them to make it.. possibly 15 minutes if that? They had a large flat screen TV that made the time pass by much quicker. Anyways, when the pizza was ready one of the 3 guys brought it to our table along with 2 paper plates. I was a little taken back by the paper plates, since I like to use a fork and knife to eat my pizza.. yes I'm on the of those people. To the most important part.. THE PIZZA WAS AMAZING! It was not greasy, it had just the right amount of cheese, sauce, toppings, and the crust.. wow. I wish the pizza in San Francisco compared to Abos. My husband and I each had 2 slices. We were both supppper full after wards. When my husband asked for a box to go, one of the guys looked at my husband and said "O come on, you can do better then that!" LOL, it was the perfect comment to end the night of good food. Our trip to Colorado was kinda bland.. but our trip to Abos Pizza was not! I have had plenty of NYC pie as I lived in the city for a few years and although this pie didn't match up to the NYC standard it was a solid pie. I had a Italian Sausage and Mushroom Pie and the ingredients were tasty along with the amount of cheese. Where I thought it feel short was the crust. The crust needed a bit more bite as is just wast quite there for a NY pie. I am not saying it wasn't edible because I certainly ate it all. I am just saying it missed that something special that makes you want to come back the very next day... So bottom line not a bad pie. It just needed that certain something to make it great! Also a comparable sized pie at 16" would not have cost me more than 20 bucks. I think they are a just a bit overpriced for what you get... read more

Franks Was Better... So we went there for dinner and had a 18" pie with spicy sausage, mushrooms, extra cheese and sauce. The other guys who were locals liked the pizza. The two a$$hole$ from the east coast weren't impressed. This we be a shock, we didn't let on that the pizza was under cooked and too doughy. The sauce lacked any punch, but the sausage was good. Like before the plain slice was cut in half and consumed as the litmus test. NYC style pie is not easy to reproduce I guess. The quest continues... They have sweet pastries too... read more

I was told 30 minutes for pickup on a early Friday evening. When I went in, the manager (I think?) immediately tells me, "we haven't dropped your wings yet, it's going to be 20 minutes or we can just take them off." I'm thinking to myself, be cool, it's pandemic season. But y'all know I was literally just coming for the fried chicken. Anyway, I tell her it's no problem even though I'm slightly bummed and wondering why they wouldn't start cooking wings as soon as they're ordered. She apologizes and tells me she has "like 56" tickets to make. As I'm sitting and waiting for my pizza, I hear her say things like, "I don't have time for this shit" as the phone continues to ring. They did somehow manage to make the fried Mac and cheese I ordered, though, so at least I got something fried. We get home and the pizza was undercooked. I'd never had Abo's, but the fiancé confirmed its usually darker and crispier. I thought the flavor was decent enough, but the next day when I reheated it in a 425 degree oven, it was even better. The Mac and cheese bites were nasty. They were luke warm and you could taste the oil. I'll be back for the pizza and hopefully to update this review. Pandemic take-out is just a totally different ballgame, people. read more

ABOS in College was FANTASTIC!!! (because it wasn't dominos and it felt trendy, I'm sure.) Having moved back to CO from the Chicago area, we ordered ABOS our first night in town. Not. Good. Delivery was quick, but the delivery guy didn't even try to navigate our apartment. I ended up just delivering my own pizza and figured the exercise was in my favor. The pepperoni pizza was "relatively" cheap but overpriced for the quality. Definitely not impressed. After reading these other reviews I'm wondering what went wrong with our order, but I have to say, I don't think I'll give it a second try to figure it out, which is a bummer! Still looking for a good pizza place here in the broomfield/boulder area. read more

Not only is the pizza exceptional, but so is the service from the staff. They are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming that I keep coming back to this location. They also offer a Gluten Free crust which is delicious and not much different in taste than the regular one. Also, a few weeks ago, when I ordered a Gluten Free bad boy, the manager said the crust was "cracked" and gave me the pizza on the cuff. She said that "quality is my business" and that this pizza didn't measure up. I wasn't bothered by the cracked crust and I was so happy to hear someone care about real quality in 2017. "Quality" at most food joints is the clerk Snapchatting and shoving the food your way without a word, and if you're lucky, you even get the correct order! It was truly refreshing to find an establishment that takes pride in its product. Lastly, I called in for a pizza tonight, and the young lady who took my order was completely pleasant, polite, and well-spoken. Yet another modern miracle at Abo's--friendly employees that make your visit and ordering experience enjoyable. Kudos to you, Abo's Broomfield. Abos has incredible New York style pizza but their service has been horrible in my experience. The last two times I have ordered has resulted in 1) getting my pizza 30 minutes late (1.5 hour delivery time) and 2) not getting my pizzas at all. With the latter I called after about an hour and they said the pizzas were out for delivery. At 1.5 hours I called again and they said they were not out for delivery and would be another 1.5 hours. This location definitely has some management issues in that they are taking on way more than they can handle. If they are understaffed due to covid, they should adjust their throughput accordingly and set the proper expectations with customers rather than just accepting any order thrown their way and assuming customers will tolerate extremely long waits. read more
