I just relocated to Walnut Creek and purchased a great condo that needed bedroom carpet. To my surprise every call I made to flooring stores was answered by poor attitude sales persons along with the earliest install would be 2 or 3 weeks if lucky. Then I called Lamorinda Floors on Mt. Diablo in Lafayette. First phone call was welcoming and encouraging. Drive to the store and 25 minutes later found a top quality carpet at a fair price. "We can do the install in 2 days. Wait, it gets better. Two great guys show up and did the perfect install. Made my $750,000 condo look like s million. The best flooring store in the Bay Area.

This product costs $10 a box which means, my bill of several thousand dollars was paying for the craftsmanship to install. JR told us, they will smooth your flooring out to make it even so there are no dips and valley. To prep, I had to remove my bath sink & toilet and remove my shutters to my sliding door. You pay half at start and other half of payment after installation. Installation guys were nice & professional. They did ask me a wee bit late which direction I wanted the flooring, as they had installed it the opposite direction I wanted. Without batting an eye, they pulled it up and changed it to my liking. After leaving and a few days later, the step layer piece (one step down from one room to other) started to pull off. Also, I notice the flooring had a lot of air pockets under the vinyl; they did not even the flooring prior to installation. We taped many spots where the flooring had air pockets to show JR. The owner ended up coming out and was not great at a resolution saying, it was a floating floor. I would not pay my second payment and eventually, they did come back to pull up flooring and even it out. I am happier about floor but I should not ever had to call back; it should have been done properly the first time. One error I made, I did not have them fix my baseboards. After putting them back on, they left the nails showing so now I have to take time from my life to fix.

Originally, we wanted to have wood flooring refinished and the rest carpeted, but then changed our minds a few times. Finally, we decided to put LPV throughout our entire condo in Walnut Creek, even the bathrooms. We're SO glad we did. Eva, Jonathan's partner, invited us to their showroom in Concord and that visit made all the difference. She made us feel so comfortable and confident. AND she made is SO easy when she offered to have us take a large sample home to place it in the center of the rooms. BAM! LOVED dealing with the Gayer team. AND, let's not forget Mariano and his team of installers. SO grateful we chose Jonathan Gayer. Feel free to reach out to us for more details. We're so very satisfied with the choice we made.

Not to mention it will make your floors easier to clean, your home feel fresher, and increase its value. The lower half of our home has hardwood, and we'd been considering hardwood to replace our gross carpeted stairs and second level bedrooms for years. We took our time in shopping around getting several bids. Jonathan Gayer provided our first bid and was ultimately who we decided upon. There were a couple other contenders, but something about Jonathan just felt right. It was one of the best home improvement decisions we have ever made. I'll give it to you in bullet point sequence as Jonathan checked all the boxes for us in this respect: * The proposal process with Jonathan was patient, comprehensive, professional, with no-pressure at all. * We were trying to match our 12-year-old 1st floor hardwood with new hardwood on the stairs, landings, and office. Jonathan did a lot of legwork and delivered us several samples with no pressure whatsoever. * We decided to wait several months before pulling the trigger, and when we were finally ready, we went right back to Jonathan. He didn't skip a beat, helping us with another home walkthrough, answering final questions, and deciding on the wood choice. * The installation was punctual, professional, and precise. His team, led by Mariano and Jose, were respectful and communicative throughout the entire process. They prepped and cleaned each day to minimize the intrusion of such a major home undertaking. And they were all great with our dogs and 7-year-old. They were also consultative, giving me a few choices and suggestions along the way that ultimately made a big, positive difference to the outcome. Our floors, stairs, and banisters look stunning thanks to Jonathan, Eva, Mariano, Jose and team, and as their proposal came right in the middle of the bids we were getting, I feel we make the right financial choice as well. I wouldn't think twice about using Johnathan Gayer for our next hardwood floor project. Trust me, they are craftsmen and will beautify your home in the most friendly and professional way.

The first was about ten years ago for another portion of our house, and once again they did an outstanding job. They were helpful in selecting a flooring pattern that matched our previously installed floors, and the estimating and scheduling process was straightforward and easy. The installation crew paid close attention to detail, and you can tell from the work around corners, transitions, and trim that they take pride in their craftsmanship and quality. We also appreciated how transparent they were regarding areas where our subfloor was uneven (which we knew would be a problem going into the job). They assessed the condition, explained the available options, and then corrected the subfloor so the planks could be installed the right way. Having a section of our hallway flat when it's been uneven for years has been a great bonus. It's reassuring to know a company like this exists in Concord. Fleury's is the only place I would use for flooring in the future.

Fast forward to present day and time to replace 30yr old original carpeting upstairs. Because our prior experience with Fleury's went so well, naturally we returned to them for phase 2. I started with Chris at the store to present the project and he made suggestions for makers and brands to best match the Brazilian Cherry we had downstairs. Patrick was up next with onsite inspection, measurements, and bringing over samples. A complementary (and upgraded) product was chosen and install timeline was set. Javier and Kiko were next on the scene and took only 5 days to demo carpet, prep and level subfloor, and install flooring and baseboards in 4 bedrooms and a hallway. Patrick came by a couple times to check on progress and made a great suggestion to add additional underlayment. That - combined with their tried and proven method of gluing and nailing down the floor - made for the most solid-feeling hardware floor installation I've ever encountered. I'm a pretty picky customer, so when I tell you their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and finish skills are top notch - believe it. Prices and labor these days are pretty much standard all around. But if you receive this level of workmanship and flawless results, you sleep better knowing you made the right decision. Can't say enough about my experience with Fleury's. 10/10

For our quote, he very thoroughly walked through our house and answered all our questions. It really helped us understand what to look out for, and how to keep our floors in good condition for the future. Not only did he do a great job refinishing the floors (see before and after photos below), he also removed a bunch of squeaks from our floors -- we didn't even know that was possible! The last thing I'll say is that Dale is an incredibly fair vendor -- we originally reached out to him for a full sanding and refinishing of our floors, thinking that was the best way to protect them long term. He took a look, told us they were in pretty good shape, and that he'd recommend a lighter refresh and seal instead -- a service that would be faster, cost us less, and would still protect our floors for the same amount of time as a full refinish. We'd highly recommend him for all your refinishing needs. Thanks again, Dale!
