The furnace was not working properly - something caused by a utility company - Bruce came out several times as the furnace worked on a hit and miss basis and got to the bottom of the issue. The utility company fixed their mistake and shortly thereafter, Bruce came back to make sure all was working as it should. Good customer service is hard to find these days. I've used No Problem Heating and Cooling for well over a decade and seriously, I swear by them. I had a problem a decade ago and they took care of it quickly so I got the club membership that gets them to come out twice a year to clean the system and see if it looks like we are headed for trouble. And if I have a problem I get ahead of folks who it's unclear whether they do maintenance. Until this year, they only recommended small things be replaced so yeah in January we did the whole system replacement. They gave me options and let me make a truly informed decision with real numbers, etc. I have rarely had to call between check ups, but yesterday something was off and the cooling just wasn't doing it's part so I called & left a message on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Within an hour or so, I had a text from Mindy (she keeps things moving I tell you!) saying they see there is a problem and they will be in touch first thing in the morning. Here I am less than 24 hours later with a fuse replaced and no worries. Mindy is great about working with me to schedule something that fits my calendar. I get reminders on appointment times and a text that tells me the tech is on the way -- heck you even get a photo, name, etc so you can talk to them by name and know whether this is the same tech as last time, etc. Pics are from past visits cause Mike was here, had it taken care of and gone so quick I never even thought about it.

If you have an old or older unit, they try to sell you on new unit and dont really do a good job on talking about repair options. They performed maintenance/service job and give me a quote to repair but it was outrageous as well. Had another HVAC come out and give their opinion and they said nothing was wrong with the unit and whatever issues KirbnJays was telling my unit was having was not true. Freon was not leaking and unit was working fine for the age it is.

Needed service on my a/c unit. Called Reifel and explained that I have Trane equipment and wanted…read moreto be sure they knew how to work on that brand. Mike assured me that he could diagnose and repair any brand. His website and business card say the same. He showed up with a trainee (his son-in-law) The unit was running louder than usual and I told him that when it happened to my other unit, it was low on freon. He assured me that my freon was perfect. He changed out the capacitor and a wiring clip on the main house unit and added .3 lb freon in my other unit that cools the addition to our home. Later that night the compressor began making an arcing noise and short cycling. He came back the next day and said there was a "magnet" that was loose and he put it back in place. That should fix it. Later that afternoon the unit quit running again. He came back again, called Trane Support and then came upstairs to say that he would be "bowing out of this job" because he didn't have the proper tools to do what support needed him to do and he wasn't going to buy any tools. Although I contracted with Reifel to get my a/c running he left me high and dry...charged me full price for a half assed job. By the way, my "perfect" unit took 1lb of freon and the "magnet" is actually a type of relay.
