I was a little worried at first because he ran a little late but he called to let me know his status so I felt better. Once he arrived he quickly diagnosed and fixed my initial problem and even spared me from feeling silly for calling him in the first lace (it was a silly problem that I should have solved on my own). At that time he asked if there were any other issues in the house and of course there were so we went down the list. There were several things on the list that he was open to tell me how I could address it on my own and save me the money, and a few other things that he gave an estimate for what it would cost for him to address. First of all, when Eric gave a phone estimate that was much lower than other quotes, I was skeptical. But he arrived on site, did an examination, and shockingly stuck to his phone quote. Secondly, he's a magician. I needed him to install a mounting bracket and wiring so I could put up a ceiling fan. He couldn't use my attic to access the rooms, but somehow he figured out how to install the wiring without cutting into the drywall (other than the cut to install the mounting brackets). Good day, I would like to just add that this electrician is as good as they should come!!!! He is in high demand and now I know why. (so don't expect an apt. tomorrow!) He came out to my home to evaluate some things i wanted to incorporate electrically. He was very confident and assure of what he was doing . ( I like that !). He made the apt. for two weeks out with an estimate that i thought was fair. They showed up only 15-20 min. late but called to inform me he was running late. (Awesome) The work was done correctly but he did have to come back for the other part of what i wanted to have done. (to speed things up I bought the wire and ran it to save time but he made all the connections) His work is very professional and good attitudes! We have a business that need some heavy duty commercial wiring, it was important to get the machine wired up, i called our previous electrician and wanted to wait 2 weeks, called 5 other people and they were weeks out too ,some didn't call back and some didn't pick up. Absolutely Amazing! Call Carlsbad Electrician (Eric) and 1 minute before 5:00pm and he happened to be in the area. It only took him .10 minutes to show up from the time I called. I had a problem at the house with a loss of power to all of our outlets in the bathroom and the GFI would not reset and the breaker was not blown. That's when you know it's time to call someone else in. Eric showed up on time and quickly found the problem. It was an outside outlet in the backyard that had shorted out from the rain. It was absolutely amazing that he knew to look outside and to think that the problem would be there instead of with the GFI outlet itself. He disconnected the outlet, the GFI was able to reset and we had power back to the outlets we needed. He was in and out in under .45 minutes and had us up and running. His prices are more than fair and reasonable for the service he provided us and he is local and will absolutely be calling him for any electrical work we need in the future. 5 stars all the way! I called Able to replace a bunch of 4-pin CFL lights in our house with LED ones (apparently, that involves bypassing a ballast that does voltage conversion). Eric was quite busy that day and showed up later than expected, but he and Max did a thorough and professional job of replacing the CFLs with LEDs. He is also quite friendly and showed me the steps involved in the CFL to LED conversion. I will likely do business with him again. read more

Able Electric is incredible! They installed an over the range microwave for me after Lowe's failed to be able to do so (no exposed wire to connect the microwave to). If I had known how quickly (and cheaply!) Able Electric would be able to install it, I never would have bothered with Lowe's installation team (I bought the microwave at the end of November 2017, and now it's the end of January 2018!). They even helped to trouble-shoot my daughter's bathroom outlet that we had had installed by a different electrician that was no longer working. Able Electric was professional, pleasant to work with, and very affordable - they charged me less than the initial quote over the phone!
