Some of my beach neighbors recommended this restaurant because it's a cheap place to eat. Hubby and I went three times - twice for breakfast and once for dinner. I can't say I was impressed. The service was slow and the food was about as mediocre as you can get, not to mention it was like eating in an echo chamber. There are other cheap eats in the neighborhood besides this one. read more

All were delicious as usual! Had to take go boxes for the sub and prime rib! Forgot to take a picture of the beautiful salad that came with the flounder! Great value! Nearby Ocean Downs and Ocean Pines! Enjoy! read more

This is a newly open, extremely loud diner. The food is prepared from frozen for the most part and is as to be expected if such a venue. The waitstaff appear to be wearing their own personal clothing making them indistinguishable from paying guests. Table condiments from sweeteners to an empty ketchup bottle need attention. Evidence of the former sports bar should be replaced. Overall the flys were more interested in my meal than I was. read more

Outstanding food, Great service & Great prices! You will not leave hungry!! My The omelets are fantastic

I went to Abi's yesterday, wanted a takeout. I went to the counter, no one acknowledged me. There were 2 waitresses who saw me standing there, and then a gentleman came from the kitchen saw me but ignored me and starting seating other people coming in. Not good customer service. read more

I had high hopes but they let me down. First, I called to place a takeout order and was on hold for quite a while (I think they forgot about me). I hung up and called back and was able to place our order. I ordered a chicken gyro with extra sauce. I got a lamb gyro with no extra sauce. My husband asked for tartar sauce but didn't get any. His food was amazing and part of mine was great. I assume it would have been amazing if I got what I ordered. Giving 4 stars because they may have been busy which led to the errors... read more

Always consistent. Great job with COVID precautions. Huge portions of really well cooked piping hot classic breakfast favorites. Nothing fancy here just fabulous food and great service. read more

Abis is always a pretty good place to go. The food is always pretty good and the service is usually great. However I had a horrible experience there this morning. I was seated and nobody came to my table for 20min. People were being seated and getting served their food before I even seen my waitress. I should have left at this time but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because usually it's so good. When she finally came to me (only cause another customer said something lol) she took my drink and food order also apologized for taking so long to get to me assuring me it would be out quickly. It took forever to get my food and when it came it was cold. My daughter and I politely got up to leave I never even said anything about it being cold and my waitress asked did I want her to take it back and warm it up? That tells me she knew it was cold when she served it SMH... anyway to make a long story short they still made me pay 15 dollars. I don't make scenes so I just paid and left. Ended up going to crap Donald's where at least the food was hot! Will not be going back to Abis ever. One other time I was there there was black ants all over the place but they did take care of that problem. read more

Service was really good and attentive. Covid procedures are followed with everyone wearing a mask and the place was clean. This food isn't anything special but it is good. If I don't have any issues I give 5 stars to small businesses and I had zero issues in here. You get really good portions, the food is good and reasonably priced. I went twice for breakfast and would go again for sure! read more

I'll give it four stars, just for the breakfast potatoes, which were really good. It's real diner style food in a diner style atmosphere, so if that's what you're looking for, Abi's is a good choice. The service was friendly too. read more

Good food/bad service. Came here for lunch, was given a menu, later saw others with a specials sheet, it was not given to us or mentioned. Server took order, came back 10 minutes later and said "oh, I forgot your salad". Brought it out, 3 minutes later, brought out our burgers. Hubby asked for mustard, she never brought it back to him but she had time to sit with another customer. Food was really good, huge burger, fresh toppings, bun was a tad big (very large Kaiser roll). When I went to the counter to pay, I told her we were not going to tip her because of the reasons above. She seemed surprised, but I am not going to tip for bad/no service. This place is popular with locals, we are local, first time here. Perhaps she thought we were tourists (many in this area). Not sure we would come back, many other diners in the area have the same food (and almost the same huge menu) with much better service. read more

This is a great diner. Great service, open kitchen. Solid food! If you want diner food this place is perfect pick.

Well DH and I returned for another breakfast at this restaurant. Service was prompt and our meals came out quickly. More crowded then our previous visit. DH ordered three pancakes (crash mats) with a side of sausage and I ordered the country benedict. The country Benedict is poached eggs on an English muffin with sausage and country gravy. Well the mats while they tasted good were over cooked on one side so DH had to cut them with a knife. As he states mats should not need a knife. They did come with plenty of real butter which is a good thing. My meal was good just not as hot temperature wise as I like. Something was cold, either the muffin, eggs or the gravy. It came with plenty of home fries. We will return to this establishment to try other items from their menu. read more

This is the first time stopping in here I Ordered a burger and fries the burger had paper wrapped around it from the box of frozen patties it is shipped in and wasn't very tasty the fries are okay at best definitely won't go back read more

If I could leave a negative review I would. My great aunt used to go here all the time and loved the place. So when our family visited Ocean City for a memorial for not only my great aunt Ginny (she passed 2/20) but my mother as well (she passed 11/20), so of course we had to go to aunt Ginny's favorite restaurant. We had the waitress from hell. Our mom was a server for about 40+ years, I've been a server, as well as my sister and niece, so we know how things are supposed to be done. When I say this was the WORSE server we've ever had, that's putting it nicely. She totally ignored my little sister (who's 40 and was a server), ignored myself, and was extremely rude to my other aunt. She picked up my cousin's plate to clear it as she was eating her food still. Then the server told us she could tell we weren't from around there. She was pretty much yelling this so the whole restaurant could hear. She then told us to leave and not come back. At first we tolerated her abuse as they were busy and short staffed, but at the same time that's not our problem/fault. We asked for strawberry jelly and our waitress replied "if it's not on the table they obviously were out." Asked another serve for some and was brought a handful of packets and told that there was a bunch in the back. We asked for ketchup and a refill on drinks and were ignored. I could never imagine speaking to a customer the way this serve spoke to us. I went to speak to the acting manager, who was very nice/sweet, but all she could do was report her to the owner. Honestly I would've fired my employees on the spot no matter how short staffed we were if my employees acted this way. read more

This place is a great find. The menu has so many choices, it's hard to decide. If you are looking for a fancy diner, this is not the place. If you want great food and service, check them out. read more

I went here with my family, there were 8 of us. We went here as it was my Great Aunt Ginny's favorite place to eat and I was there a few times with her. She passed in 3/2020 and we were in town for a memorial for her. The food was amazing, but the service was the worst I've had in my entire life, and I'm 61 years old. The waitress was rude from the get go. When we asked for anything she made a grunting sound. We asked for strawberry jelly, and she said if it's not on the table we don't have it. Another waitress was kind enough to bring us about 6 strawberry jellies. Our rude waitress kept saying she had 3 tables and was busy. Which we understand, but you don't have to be rude. She tried to take my cousin's food while she was still eating and got rude when my cousin said 'I'm sorry I'm not done'. She brings the bill out and when we said we wanted desserts she grunted like she was pissed and said she was busy and it would be awhile. We wanted them to go so we said 'no problem we will wait' as some were still eating. It got really ugly when she told us she knew we weren't from around there and we were the worst customers she had ever had and she wanted us to leave. My mom was a waitress for 25+ years and taught us to tip good and say thank you and please , which we did. The bill was over 140.00 and though in the beginning we thought the person who waited on us is about to get a big tip like 30% or more. We left her nothing. She had 2 of us crying and one so pissed off she left. I usually visit once a year and I have family there who owns a business. It's unfortunate that one bad apple can ruin it for you. We won't be back nor will our ocean city family. It was an horrible experience. I will say the acting manager was nice and food good. Just won't go anywhere that makes you feel like you are the scum of the earth while we are spending our hard earned money. read more

I have been here twice, came the second time because the food was fresh, good and well prepared. I had the stuffed flounder the first time, and broiled seafood platter the second....DELISH! My son had the chicken fingers which he enjoyed, comes with enough chicken and fries to last the week. The atmosphere/decor is rather dull feeling more like a public school cafeteria and I hate swatting at flies when I am eating but I have found this to be a common theme on the shore. Summary: try it for the food; hope they can afford to improve atmosphere soon; no more flies; the cook knows his business. read more

Food and service was wonderful! Best homemade potato salad I've had in a long time. Warning all food portions are big you may want to share. read more

Got here shortly before closing and we're the only customers, so no problems with service. Food was perfectly prepared versions of your dinner classics, and the portions are far too large for one sitting. I recommend splitting a dish if you don't want leftovers. The ambiance is totally bland but that's not the point here. read more

Abi's is your typical diner- large menu, substantial portions, and basic, good food. The interior itself could use some work, it is a bit rundown, but it is clean. I had the Chicken Gyro. It could have used a bit more tzatziki sauce but it was good. A note to ketchup connoisseurs- Abi's uses a generic brand that just doesn't cut it. read more

We have eaten at Abi's several times when near Ocean City. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. Service was terrific and the food was absolutely delicious. Very generous portions and the food was super good and we were able to get take outs. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

We've been looking around for a breakfast spot in Berlin or West OC for some time now, and by luck passed by Abi's after launching our kayak and looked up the menu the next weekend, and thank God, what a Great find! I had the Florentine omelet and my wife had the Veggie omelet, and there was so much feta cheese and fresh spinach in my omelet and my wife couldn't finish her veggie omelet and she's a big eater even tho she's only 103 lbs! Many times she finishes what I left on my plate. ;-) Well, we have a condo in the center of OCMD but whenever we go to the outlets, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc., or kayaking in West OC or Berlin, we will definitely hit Abi's Diner before we start our daily excursion. It's a keeper for sure! read more

The service and hospitality was great. The expansive diner was clean and stirring with patrons. The options for breakfast are many, and not overwhelming. I like that. Overall, it was above average for this region. I must say that I haven't found a GREAT breakfast place yet, since our favorite place closed down about 5 years ago here in WOC. Look, even a little cheap sherry in some recipes adds a lot of missing flavor. Or Old Bay. Lay off the salt. Add some pepper. Just sayin'. read more

There is a large selection of American style food on the menu at Abi so I would definitely come back, but my crab cake melt was just okay. I could tell the crab cake has a lot of filler and there was too much cheese on my sandwich as well. My grandmother got a Rueben melt and while there was a good amount of meat on the sandwich she felt there was too much cheese too. The waitress was nice and attentive, so overall I would still stop by again and try something else. read more

Wonderful food and service. Our waitress Jaime , I believe; was very polite and lovely. Food was on point. Two thumbs up

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. My family went here the first time about a year ago and had the worst service ever. The waitress had no idea what she was doing and forgot about our table consistently leading to us spending nearly three hours there. Yesterday, we dined again to give it another chance and I received a moldy sub. Terrible & will not be dining or recommending again. Try the Decatur Diner the food and service is much better. There's a reason Abis prices are so cheap. read more

We had breakfast here, and it was alright. The service was perfect and our waitress was very nice. We have an active toddler and 2 out of 3 high chairs had broken straps, so that is something I'd like to see fixed. The food was alright, nothing remarkable but not bad either. It was definitely filling and our order came out quickly. Our waitress was very attentive but not pushy or annoying. This was my first time eating here, so I would like to come back for dinner to give a better, more accurate review. read more

We were vacationing in nearby Ocean City, drove past this place and decided to stop for a late breakfast. The place had a few booths with older patrons enjoying their breakfast. We had to wait a bit to be seated, although they weren't busy at the moment. The hostess seated us finally and after 15 minutes of waiting we called her back to the table. We asked why people who had come in after us had already been waited on and were being served and drinking their coffee. She had a quick talk with the waitress, whom apparently didn't want to wait on my man who is black. He was in fact the only person of color in the diner. The hostess was extremely apologetic and uncomfortable. The waitress, however, was not going to wait on us. We left. I was shocked by the lack of basic human decency. Who cares about the quality of the food when a place has at least one employee who apparently feels secure enough in her job to blatantly reveal her racism. I wish there was a way to give -5 stars. read more

I have had a decent breakfast here several times, so we tried dinner tonight. Shrimp salad was supposed to be made to order. I asked for little to no mayo, since you need a little to hold it together on plain rye bread. It took almost a half hour to be served, the bread was stale and hard and there was a thick layer of mayo with some shrimp hidden in it. Honestly I would say less than a 1/4 cup on the two halves. When the waitress came by to check on us I showed her the stale bread and she took it saying I am going to throw it at the owner this is terrible. She asked if I wanted some other bread but I did not want a bread sandwich, I wanted a shrimp salad sandwich so I declined. When she brought the bill she was apologetic, but charged me full price for the sandwich. I was very disappointed. I have brought ten different people here to eat (breakfast) and now I am down on this place. The owner needs to learn how to address their poor quality food. Server was nice and friendly. read more

We have eaten here many times. I think that the prices are great for what you get. The lunch and dinner menu has a very wide selection.
