We loved Abigail's B&B! 1. It's an easy walk to downtown Camden and a very short drive to Rockport and Camden Hills State Park 2. The property if beautiful and very well maintained inside and out, plus they have ample off-street parking 3. Dave and Stephen are fantastic hosts and are super helpful with local tips and recommendations 3.1 So was Dave's cousin from Massachusetts who was 'only visiting,' but also helping out while we were there 4. Their breakfasts are amazing (and Dave is willing to share his recipes) 5. They attract repeat guests that are also super nice (we hope to become repeat guests ourselves) 6. It's not a huge -- it's a more intimate and quiet B&B that can accomodate all of their breakfast guests in one seating 7. They have their own chickens (and fresh eggs) 8. Lots of little/nice touches that add up to a wonderful stay Based on the various reviews on several sites we looked at before we booked our trip, we had every reason to suspect we would love our stay at Abigails. Kipp & Beth are very friendly, welcoming and a high caliber friendly team. While guests are downstairs indulging in a sumptuous breakfast hand served by Kipp, your rooms are being cleaned and restocked. It is like the room fairies visit and your place sparkles every day. The breakfasts every day are more than filling and very flavorful, plus the presentation is stellar. Kipp outdoes himself and if Beth is prepping back there then she is too!!! See photos! Abigail's Inn is a stately beauty with a homey, classy decor. We stayed in the Jefferson Davis room which was spacious and had space in the huge armoire and dresser to tuck away everything for our three night stay and then some! The bathroom as equally spacious storage and standing wise. Everything was immaculate and bottled water and chocolates awaited us at check in and the water is replenished daily. Our gas fireplace was perfect for one of the blustery nights to keep us toasty. There is a TV but we didn't use it once...why with such a charming town (Camden) only steps away with the lovely Camden Harbor singing to you like a siren's song. The shop owners and restaurant staff in Camden are a treasure. Not a meanie in the bunch and all taking time to chit-chat or give you a quick, friendly greeting and point you to what you require. Needed a last minute room, called them and 5 minutes later they booked me for a GREAT room. The beds are unbelievably comfortable, and the breakfast is out of this world, easily tops most diners/hotels. They have great hospitality and the overall vibe is relaxing and inviting. Loved, loved, loved Abigail's Inn. Stayed here with friends and we couldn't stop exclaiming over the decor, comfort, and hospitality provided by Dave. Another review mentioned that the beds, etc. are more comfortable than The Four Seasons and I couldn't agree more. We wanted to duplicate the sheets, etc. at home but realized that what really made the difference was the ironing. I have nice sheets at home but the likelihood of them being ironed on a daily basis is nil. I'll have to return to Abigail's for that luxury! The decor is a great mix of antiques and modern touches. We loved all the dishes and gobbled down the amazing food served in the dishes! Dave does a great job of sourcing products locally so when you do fall in love with something, you might see it at the local stores in Camden. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Camden. read more

Beautiful place with two amazing owners Kent and Dave makes this place shine to no end! Morning breakfast begins Daves's homemade bake goods followed by Kent's mixed fruit plate and endless refills of coffee - Yes, there is a main breakfast course at Abigails. Dave is always creating spealty gourmet plates that will keep you going till mid afternoon. Accomodations are beautiful and very clean. The carriage house was pretty amazing and very charming. Beds are very comfortable. My husband and I felt very (covid) safe the entire week we were there. Happy to call Kent and Dave good friends. We will no doubt return. Thanks guys! read more

Abigail's Inn was everything you would hope for in a first class bed and Breakfast! I don't even know where to start. The inn itself is stunning and the room was perfect. Every detail, including the awesome bed, was considered - super clean, glorious towels, and even the fresh cut flowers just to name a few. The breakfasts were amazing. We stayed five nights and every morning, we couldn't wait to see what was for breakfast. Absolutely over the top! Finally, the hosts, David and Kent made our stay truly outstanding and memorable. They are warm, kind and friendly. I took my wife to Abigail's Inn for a special birthday and it was our first time going to Maine. We loved our visit to Camden, great food, fun sailing, lovely art shopping, but by far the highlight was staying as this treasure of a bed and breakfast. We will most definitely be coming back! Spectacular Inn! The property is just beautiful, close to town so walking everywhere is easy with no parking hassle. Dave is an amazing host, his attention to his guest shows in the attention to details, the superb breakfast served on the gorgeous patio and we loved sitting on the front porch. A very friendly inn. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Both days we were served nice, hearty portions of varied foods. The attached carriage house was where we stayed, in the Rose Garden room. The bathroom could use updating, (tub/shower enclosure) but the bed was comfortable. We attempted to find the inn keepers at two different times, to see if we could get some ice, but had no luck...we had to walk around to the main house, and ring a bell for service, but no one ever came to help us. All in all, a nice three day stay. read more

The location within walking distance of the heart of Camden is perfect. We stayed in the Jefferson Davis room - beautiful decor and bathroom. We have stayed at Abigail's B&B twice before during our summer vacations and had wonderful times at the historic inn. The accommodations are "wife approved" from a design perspective and I love the beds... solid sleeps comes easy here! We love the short walk to the beautiful town of Camden. What I never noticed until this first winter stay were the automatic stoves in the guestrooms that really just seal the charm. As always, the highlight in the morning is breakfast- the owner's Kipp and Beth's creations. My one advice when you stay here is to make sure you don't miss the breakfast and if you find they are serving the "Dutch Bunny" count your lucky stars... you're in for a treat. Another real treat for the winter in Camden is the town's own ski slopes, theCamden Snow Bowl. Four miles from the door, you have access to snow fun for the family-skiing, boarding, tubing. We decided to start over again and learn snow boarding with the kids and had a great time! Abigails B&B was there for us at the end of the day with the stove crackling. We reminded the kids the sooner they got to bed the sooner breakfast would come... everyone agreed. read more
