Such a great bed and breakfast. Michelle was great and so accommodating. The beds are super comfy and the breakfast was amazing. We stayed in charter house - perfect for 4 .

Lovely bed and breakfast, the owners were so nice!! Clean, comfortable, you feel like you are staying in their home. Breakfast was yummy as was the afternoon lemon cake !!! Michelle was just amazing, from helpful tips to leaving us chocolate strawberries for our anniversary!!!! Short walk to the harbor, perfect location!!

We stayed here for 2 nights two weeks ago it was great Terry and Annette a Scottish couple own the BB. It is in walking distance to the town so we never took our car unless we ventured out to other parts of Camden and surrounding towns. The room we had was spacious the bed was very comfortable shower was unreal with jets and steam, along with a sound system built in. Over stuffed huge chairs that were so firm and very relaxing, along with a gas fireplace. Breakfast is included homemade granola with fresh vanilla yogurt and eggs of your choice. Every morning it was something different, bottled water and afternoon cookies and tea compliments.

My husband and I had a marvelous time at this quaint bed and breakfast in Camden! Our hosts provided a 2 course breakfast daily with sweet and savory food and afternoon sweet treats of cookies and lemon cake. You will be happy with your stay in their rooms. We stayed in the Snug Harbor room with a separate sitting and king sized bed. Both Michelle and Matt were welcoming and helpful with activities to do. This truly a gem!

It's those little touches in the breakfast room that made for a great beginning to the day.

We had the most lovely and restful time at the Blue Harbor House. We stayed in the Chart House suite which had very comfortable mattress and luxuriously smooth bed linens. The bathroom had strong water pressure. This particular room has a small anteroom with two recliners and a tv and a second room for sleeping with a second tv. Air conditioner was sufficient but seemed very loud but once we got used to it, lulled us to sleep. . Windows were tiny and only one had a screen. Carpet has seen better days and this particular room is entirely wood paneled. Fixtures are a bit dated BUT in the way of a thrifty relative who doesn't see the point of changing our serviceable and good quality items just because styles have changed. Everything was very very clean, very very comfortable and served its purpose. We didn't get to partake of the afternoon snacks as we arrived late BUT the next mornings breakfast was outstanding in a beautiful country style room. Homemade granola parfait with fresh fruit and an individual quiche. My traveling companion was able to have an omelette made instead of the quiche at the last minute which he greatly appreciated. The host was amazing -- kind and friendly and full of great suggestions for local activities and meals. This B and B reminded me of the homey hospitality we received when traveling through Great Britain many years back. Really lovely and hospitable experience.

Just love this place. Room was quiet, sheets/bed were amazing (honestly I want to buy the sheets). The breakfast was better than what we could have ordered in a fancy restaurant. There are lots of places to choose from to stay, but you won't be disappointed here. We will be back!

    Delicious Quiche Lorraine!

Ed and Joan, the Innkeepers, made us feel very welcome and were very informative. The location is perfect for anyone taking a morning Ferry to Vinalhaven or North Haven. It is also convenient for a walk through Rockland's beautiful downtown shopping area. Most of the rooms have a view of the harbor. We chose a room without that view but found it perfect for our one night stay. The room was spotless, had a comfortable bed, plenty of drawer space and a private bathroom. There is 24 hour coffee and tea station and a welcoming front room full of reading materials, games, and other interesting items. The front porch is another perfect place to relax and view the harbor. Ed is also the chef and served a wonderful breakfast of tomato and broccoli frittata, mixed fruit, fresh baked muffins and scones. Breakfast also included Ed's very tasty cornmeal pancakes, which I topped off with genuine Maine Maple syrup! We will become regulars as we return to Vinalhaven Island each year to visit our family. And have already recommended it to other family members headed to the island!

The breakfast alone is worth the stay. Rooms are minimalist but functional, beds are comfortable and the place is clean. I can only imagine what it takes to upkeep a place like this so hats off to Ed and Joan. My only comment would be the tv's could use an upgrade (it was tiny) ... not that we even turned it on. A Black Friday run for some flat screens would be a major value upgrade. We also loved that they were open to a one night stay (weeknight) , which is exactly what we needed. The few other places we called all had 2 night minimums which was pretty frustrating for a last minute weeknight escape.

She was so friendly and went above and beyond in discussing which area restaurants and attractions would best suit us. We woke up both mornings, to a delicious homemade breakfast which was served on the beautiful and glistening sun porch while lovely classical music played in the background. The service that was provided by both mother (Kim) and daughter (Lauren) was exquisite and warm. Our room was bright, sunny, clean and just the right size for the two of us, as was the private bathroom. Each room was decorated beautifully with vintage type plates throughout...a theme soooo fitting for the style and feel of this home. A special addition to our "sweet" stay, were the delicious home baked cookies that were left out in the afternoon. They were so good that we would peak around the corner each time we arrived back to the house, with hopes of seeing a new batch! There are a limited amount of spaces in front with zero room to maneuver your car to fit in a space. There is a public lot right next door for a fee and hopefully you'll get a space. We were in the Waterfront King Suite. The room was lovely and had a great view!! However, getting hot water was inconsistent. We had noisy neighbors who we could hear using the hairdryer at 6:42am, and shouting down the hall and slamming their door at 7:30am. At 10:45pm there were sounds like chairs being dragged over hardwood for about 30 minutes. They do give you an opportunity to order breakfast that is delivered to your room and a time you specify. However, both days I had rancid milk for my coffee. I wrote a note to the staff after the first morning, and they served spoiled milk to me again on the second morning!! The food was also vastly under seasoned. I ordered the quinoa bowl both days and got two totally different dishes. And, my wife's potatoes were completely burnt. So for the money we spent on the room, I cannot recommend this place due to parking, noise, and food quality.

First off, the front desk would go 15-30 minutes without being staffed. This made it particularly difficult when we needed something - I sat across from the desk for 15 minutes at one point - but that's not enough to warrant a negative review. In fact, I waited this morning to convey this message in person, but the only people in the lobby were customers waiting for help. What does warrant a review is our breakfast foul up. This may sound like a minor issue, however in the world of customer service it absolutely is not. Here's what happened: the hotel provides breakfast in the room. We had two rooms. My daughter mistakenly put my room number on her breakfast card, so they delivered both breakfasts to my room. Only they didn't deliver both COMPLETE breakfasts - they only delivered a portion of the breakfasts. When we inquired about the mixup, we were shown our cards - no apology, only a hint of "here's where the fault lies, and it's with you." However, no one bothered to ask us before delivering an incomplete breakfast as to whether this was actually what we wanted (and bear in mind, this is not a big hotel). After that, there were a series of further mixups before staff actually sorted things out and got complete breakfasts to our rooms. I don't have a big problem with the mixup. I do have a problem with the reaction and the confused resolution. However, the blame here is not on the staff: it's on ownership. It's very clear that at critical points of the day, the hotel has a real staffing issue. It's also clear that ownership hasn't adequately trained staff on "Customer Service 101." The poor worker was clearly frazzled and could use some training and some help. As a result, this hotel did not earn the premium it charges.
