STOP THE SEARCH! It ends here. Make your reservation now! Do you want to be welcomed like one of…read moretheir family? Do you want a delicious two course breakfast each morning (included in your stay) cooked according to your dietary needs? Do you want homemade cookies or brownie at the end of the day packaged and prepared just for you? Do you want to walk a couple of blocks to the charming downtown and waterfront of Camden? How about staying in a charming, quaint, and clean room or suite? How about a drink during happy hour at their cozy bar? Do you want to sit on their porch and read a book by the firepit? If so, make the reservation now! The Blue Harbor House is charming, romantic, and well maintained. My wife and I stayed here four nights recently and used this location to not only spend time in Camden, but to visit other nearby towns like Rockland, Bath, Brunswick, Rockport, and Belfast. Don't forget to visit the Cellar Door Winery in neighboring Lincolnville. Everything worked in our Snug Harbor Suite to perfection. Housekeeping did a great job each morning cleaning and replacing whatever was needed. The innkeepers, Matt and Michelle are warm and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From the moment we booked our reservation, they began making us part of their family. Just talking to them and some of the other guests about life was relaxing and therapeutic. The price here is very reasonable and worth every penny. There is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. As I said earlier, there is no need to look any further.

They welcomed us to the Inn, gave us a tour and some fresh baked cookies. When we came downstairs in the morning Lauren had set out coffee and fresh baked crumpets. For breakfast she served overnight oats with chia seeds and blueberry compote followed by a tomato artichoke frittata and salad. Everything was excellent! Since we are avid hikers Greg recommended the Mount Battie trail which is within walking distance from the hotel. As we were heading off for our hike, Lauren provided us with more fresh baked cookies still warm from the oven. Greg and Lauren made us feel right at home as did their son Elliott. Elliott has a true entrepreneurial spirit and is very knowledgeable about the Inn and the area despite his young age. It was a pleasure staying here.

The bar is cute with 4 seats, but you can also just order and grab and seat anywhere. The restaurant has lots of tables and the food looked amazing. I got an espresso martini and it was delicious. If I'm back in town I would do dinner here!

The owner/manager of the Norumbega was extremely rude and unhelpful when we ask about the…read morerestaurant menu. One of us has significant food restrictions and was just inquiring about the menu posted online and whether there had been additions or changes. He acted as if this was an insulting or outrageous question and that we should have known that this has been the menu all summer. Having just arrived here we of course, did not know that and when we explained, he doubled down and asked why we would ever think that the menu posted online wasn't the current menu. We said we have frequently been to restaurants whose online menu does not always list what's available on any particular evening. He continued to insist that what we were asking made no sense to him. When we said that unfortunately we would have to cancel because there was nothing on the menu that would fit into the required diet he said he would be charging us $25 per person for the cancellation. We then explained that we thought we had a good reason to cancel and asked him to waive that. His response was to say that if we had been more remorseful, he would have waived the fee. It was as if he was blaming us for his rude behavior. At that point, we thanked him and ended the conversation. At that point, we thanked him and ended the conversation. While we understand the restaurants policy and normally would have been fine paying the fee as we know that cancellations can be difficult, we have never been traded as rudely as this, especially by a person in charge
