We make every effort to return as often as possible short of winning the lottery and moving in with JoAnne and Billy.

The property if beautiful and very well maintained inside and out, plus they have ample off-street parking 3. Dave and Stephen are fantastic hosts and are super helpful with local tips and recommendations 3.1 So was Dave's cousin from Massachusetts who was 'only visiting,' but also helping out while we were there 4. Their breakfasts are amazing (and Dave is willing to share his recipes) 5. They attract repeat guests that are also super nice (we hope to become repeat guests ourselves) 6. It's not a huge -- it's a more intimate and quiet B&B that can accomodate all of their breakfast guests in one seating 7. They have their own chickens (and fresh eggs) 8. Lots of little/nice touches that add up to a wonderful stay Based on the various reviews on several sites we looked at before we booked our trip, we had every reason to suspect we would love our stay at Abigails. We were not disappointed!

Do you want a delicious two course breakfast each morning (included in your stay) cooked according to your dietary needs? Do you want homemade cookies or brownie at the end of the day packaged and prepared just for you? Do you want to walk a couple of blocks to the charming downtown and waterfront of Camden? How about staying in a charming, quaint, and clean room or suite? How about a drink during happy hour at their cozy bar? Do you want to sit on their porch and read a book by the firepit? If so, make the reservation now! The Blue Harbor House is charming, romantic, and well maintained. My wife and I stayed here four nights recently and used this location to not only spend time in Camden, but to visit other nearby towns like Rockland, Bath, Brunswick, Rockport, and Belfast. Don't forget to visit the Cellar Door Winery in neighboring Lincolnville. Everything worked in our Snug Harbor Suite to perfection. Housekeeping did a great job each morning cleaning and replacing whatever was needed. The innkeepers, Matt and Michelle are warm and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. From the moment we booked our reservation, they began making us part of their family. Just talking to them and some of the other guests about life was relaxing and therapeutic. The price here is very reasonable and worth every penny. There is plenty of parking in their private parking lot. As I said earlier, there is no need to look any further.

It has wonderful harbor views and is a short stroll to downtown shops and restaurants. We spent 3 glorious nights in the New Amsterdam Suite. The suite is quite simply huge with a fireplace in a large sitting room and separate bedroom (with a king size feather bed) plus a bathroom as large as an airplane hanger. The suite has two private porches and windows with spectacular views everywhere. While the structure is 140+ years old, it has modern and luxurious furnishings. The lounge is filled with jars of old-time candies. If you have a sweet tooth, this space is close to heaven on earth. As impressive as the inn is, it pales in comparison to the staff. They keep the inn spotless and running efficiently. Special shoutouts to Sara, Sam, and Hope. These ladies made our stay magical. Their attention to detail made it feel as if we were the only guests on the property. Our visit did have one negative and it was a BIG one. We had to leave!!!! Can't wait to come back for another visit.
