If there was dust lying around, they did a great job of cleaning it up. They can also help dispose of tile and they're super friendly. What I think set them apart for us was just the professionalism in getting an estimate. They sent someone, took some measurements and got us a quote quickly while also answering any questions and helped us net out details, which compared to some other places we asked for quotes, was miles better. It also helps their quotes were almost 40% less than some other places, so the cost is more than reasonable too.

Be warned: the previous owner has sold the business and most of the ratings prior to July 2022 are…read morenow out of date. I had used A&D several times under the previous owner, Mike Douglas. Mike was one of those masters of both window repair and running a business. He was the kind of guy who you would come out to replace a broken window and while he was there, he would check all of the windows in your home. While he was checking the windows, he would do minor adjustments as part of the service. He would give you an estimate and he would show up o time and deliver on time and on budget, as promised. Since Mike sold the business in July, the service has declined. The new owner seems to know about windows but he's struggling at running a business. He seems disorganized. Calls aren't returned. Emails aren't returned. Promised dates are missed without explanation or communication. A growing business needs someone to answer phones, schedule workers and attend to details in order to maintain customers. Hopefully, the new owner is still learning to juggle being a worker and being a business owner and things will improve. In the meantime, read the previous reviews 4 star and 5 star reviews with the knowledge those are ratings on the previous owner.

Amelia's Maids was recommended by a friend and did not disappoint. We purchased the move-out…read moreservice when we left our apartment and we barely recognized the place after Amelia's Maids was finished. When I scheduled the service, I reported problem areas to the office, and the cleaners worked hard to remove those stains. The cleaners far exceeded my expectations. The apartment's property manager was so impressed with the condition of the living room that she did not even walk through the rest of the apartment. She said that sometimes the company must re-clean after a tenant hires a cleaning service, but not this time! Thank you, Amelia's Maids, for helping me get my security deposit back! Amelia's Maids performed excellent work at an affordable price. We will not hesitate to hire Amelia's Maids for our future cleaning needs. *Another reviewer noted that she could not leave a tip when paying her online invoice. We contacted the office and they created a new invoice with tip included. Hopefully the office develops an easier process, but online tipping is possible!

(Full Disclosure: I just found yet another thing they broke and hid, never even told us when they…read morewere here three days ago. I'm kinda pissed. Again.)They have not once cleaned the house fully without missing things (obvious things like missed toilets and unmopped floors). On more than one occasion I've slipped and fallen on my ass on the bathroom tile. Note: the non-slip backing on ur bathroom rug only works when the cleaning crew doesn't put the rugs back immediately in wet floors! And now- this is the second time that I have been home while they clean and heard a crash- only to find out after they left that they broke something, hid it, and never said a word. They will vacuum and ding your furniture & walls, forget to lock the doors when they leave (usually no one is home when they're here). I actually have pretty basic standards- nothing outrageous and OCD. But I do expect them to respect our home and belongings. I've continued to try and deal with it for 3 years- support a local business, give them the benefit of the doubt, etc. But I've had it- they will never be allowed in our home again.

Yes it was 7 am on a Saturday, however the business hours indicated that they are open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. It sounded like I woke him up. I asked the gentleman if they had any openings this weekend to haul some junk items since I'm moving. And his reply was...'Yeah, I think I'm just gonna pass on that. Sorry.' I'm just shaking my head...he could have used a more professional excuse....Like 'I'm sorry ma'am we're actually booked this weekend on another project' or 'we need a days notice for scheduling. These folks were recommended to me, and they did a great job in replacing my master shower (which…read moresomehow got a broken pan & started leaking). This isn't a quick, easy or cheap fix -- the whole shower had to be demolished out, the pan replaced, and the whole shower retiled. Given the work required, I decided to go ahead and replace the hardware with a new set as well. Jeremy and Julie are prompt and effective communicators, by email, text and phone -- and that is often not the case with contractors. They worked with me to figure out ways to save a little money on certain tasks that I could handle myself. When they went to pick up my tile order (which I had done myself), they figured out that one tile type was incorrect and got the order fixed. They coached me on what pieces of plumbing hardware to buy. They were ok with me doing some of the prep work (putting down carpet protector, ramboard etc.), again to let me save a bit. At the end, when I noticed something that wasn't quite finished right, they came out within a day and fixed it. I'd hire them again and I definitely recommend them to others.

I contacted Ferguson as one of the first contractors I reached out to for my bathroom and kitchen…read moreremodels. I selected Ferguson because they are located near me and I wanted to give locals my business. Jeremy's wife, Julie, was in touch promptly after I reached out and sent some helpful information along before our appointment. I appreciated that. Jeremy came by our place to do our estimate. He was a ball of energy. That also means that he talked over me as I explained what I wanted done. I overlooked the interruptions because it seemed he understood what we wanted. At the end of the meeting Jeremy said it would be a couple of weeks before he could get a quote to us because there had been some flooding (?) at his place. Two weeks rolled by...and then a month... and no estimate. In the meantime, I had several other contractors come by-- and the better ones gave me a timely estimate. I hired one of the other contractors who followed through. I am disappointed that I wasn't able to give Ferguson my business since I wanted to hire someone locally. Their loss!

While Ross seemed a genuinely nice person and politely listened and took notes during the walkthrough of the scope of work, we never even got an actual bid from them on the repairs we wanted done. We had Ross out on 11/8 and on 12/3 still didn't even have an ETA on when they'd be able to give us a BID on the work-- not "when will it be finished" or "when can you start" but "when can you tell me how much it will cost to hire you to do the work". They couldn't even tell me when they'd be able to tell me! I had to reach out twice just to find out they didn't have a bid ready and didn't even know when they would. The time I spent away from work walking Ross around the property and discussing the work we needed done was completely wasted, and now I have to start over from scratch in finding another repair service. It's doubly frustrating because I wasn't casually fact-finding or price-shopping, I am ready to hire. I would have taken almost any proactive answer, including "sorry, we're too busy for your project(s)". Just really poor customer service.
