The owner told me there will be a "$50 diagnostics fee" that he said isn't really a fee and that the $50 will go towards whatever repair they do but they just call it that so you don't take it anywhere else to have it fixed after they diagnose it. They called and said they couldn't fix my vehicle and that I needed to take it to a "professional mechanic" to have it fixed. When I asked him to replace the seal at the bottom of my windshield he told me he wasn't going to because it wasn't the reason for the leak even though I requested for it to be changed due to it being almost completely deteriorated. This is the "owner" ERNEST TORRES who is telling me he won't replace it and said I still need to pay them $50 when I pick up my vehicle all so they could collect $50 for pouring water on my windshield. He Refused to do a service that I requested for that $50 to go towards. He was rude, talked over me and told me to take him to court before he hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

No discussion of what was done, what was checked, or what could be wrong with my car. I called and asked what was done, he asked what the name was under, put me on hold, then came back and said, "ma'am that vehicle was picked up".. I said I know, we just got home with it and I would like to know what was done and what's wrong with it. He said they didn't find anything.. if nothing is wrong, then why does my car have 1) a rough start 2) vibrates in idle and reverse 3) it shakes and acts like it wants to die 4) it died on my husband in PARK in the DRIVEWAY this morning. He said nothing was said to them about any of that. So I asked what they do in a diagnostics check. He said it depends on. I asked on what? "Ma'am it depends on the vehicle". I asked if was hooked up to machine or scanner or what's done... music started playing. He put me on HOLD. Without telling me. I waited SEVERAL minutes without anyone picking the phone back up, so I hung up and called back. I said that was "NOT COOL!" You put me on hold without saying a word and you didn't even come back. "Ma'am, I have 5 people here waiting. I'll call you back when I have time".. I said no.. that's rude! He was talking to me first and I want to know what's wrong with my car because nothing was said when my husband showed up. He was handed the keys and told to have a good day! He said plenty was said. So I asked l... again... what diagnostic was ran, was anything found because I need my car fixed. He said nothing was found that he told my husband he can try to change out the motor mounts (we ordered them the other day with transmission mounts also and they came in today), so something must've been said for him to tell my husband to try what he already had intentions of doing. I asked how a diagnostic can be ran and nothing show, when my car obviously SHOWS signs. They should've noticed when they drove my car to move it. "Ma'am, I'm hanging up. Don't call here again and don't bring your vehicle here anymore, we won't work on it".. I asked his name.. "My name is Shawn and I'm the owner and I'm telling you not to come back here again." I asked "WHY?!" I just wanted to know what was done. We took it for a diagnostics. "And we didn't charge you for that ma'am. Don't call back. Don't bring your vehicle back." .. And here I am. Writing a review to let EVERYONE know how rude and unprofessional "Shawn" and Gary's Automotive is! If there was a choice of "0" stars, I would've picked that, but I had to pick the "1" star. We have taken our vehicles there before with no problem, but not anymore. Not after today. VERY RUDE!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! ("Shawn Grisham" is the owner of "Gary's"). Go somewhere else. I must brag on the service at Tom's Tire Pros I used to…read moretake my car to a dealership in town and really thought they were good until I discovered they had lied to me about some routine car care that they said they did, only to find out later it was, in fact, never done. They will remain nameless. It is not my nature to slam a business. Personally, it shook my confidence and trust, though. Fast forward. Had to buy four new tires after the discovery of the "false care" from them. My son recommended Tom's Tire Pros, so I bought them there. I had to charge them so had all of the road hazard insurance added. Then, I called and had the wheels aligned there and decided to go there for my oil change. The alignment and the oil change cost less than I had paid at other places in the past. The topper came this week, though. I had been hearing a loud squeak in the springs or frame or whatever??? I took it up to them to ask if someone could drive it around slowly and listen to it to see if it could be fixed or what it would cost. One of the shop guys did just that and came in and was telling the service writer what he did. I walked up and asked him to tell me. He said it was the stabilizer that was squeaking and something about struts?? I'm a girly girl so understood some of it, but bottom line, I could replace something or other, but it would be fine without it. He greased the squeaking really well, with it on the lift rack and it was gone. There would still be a popping in the something?? I never heard that to begin with, and haven't still.? So, I asked the mechanic if he would replace the part and he said no. I said okay, I'm not. The replaced thing was $600. I went to pay, and they both said " No Charge "!! I tried to tell them thank you but could hardly get the words out with out crying I told them how much it means to me to be able to trust a business like theirs again!!! Just can't recommend this place enough!

Not pleased. After washing my Grand Cherokee after spending winter in Pennsylvania I decided I'd…read moresplurge on a full detail rather doing it all myself. The text confirmation had me booked for a large truck/ van/ 3 row SUV. My grand cherokee is a 2 row SUV, so I'm not sure why I paid the same price ($350) as an Escalade, but whatever. When I dropped it off I showed her the problem areas on the bottom of my rear doors where rock salt had really done a number over the winter. She told me there's a few different things she can try and if she has a hard time with it she'll give me a call. I didn't get a call. In fact, I called them twenty minutes before closing to check the status and was told it was done. I go to pick up the Jeep and we both approach the vehicle together and the problem areas look exactly the same. She told me it looks like it's etched into the paint and they can try a paint correction for more money ($150), but can't do it for another 9 days. What happened to trying a few different things? What happened to giving me a call if that didn't work so I can approve trying something else? I do take responsibility for misunderstanding what a full detail includes, although it was never explained to me by the shop aside from saying "full detail inside and out." I was under the impression they would be cutting, polishing, and waxing the vehicle. The reality of it is they wash the car and apply some sort of quick detailer spray. It's basically a glorified car wash for hundreds and I would have never agreed to pay that had I known this beforehand. And to top it off, it wasn't even a very good car wash. The inside of the windshield looks awful, there was tree sap spots still on the paint as if no effort was made to remove them, the lift gate jamb wasn't cleaned at all, and the windows were still wet when I drove away leaving water marks on them and the doors. When leaving I scheduled another appointment for 9 days later for them to work on the problems spots on my 2 doors. After I got home and looked everything over I decided that I would be nuts to spend additional money, bringing my total to $500, for the quality of work that's done here. I pulled out my DA polisher, some ultimate compound, polish, and wax and did the doors myself. I was able to get the tree sap off with a little bit of goo gone and 5 minutes of effort. Lesson learned: If you want something done right, you do it yourself.

With one employee walking around the garage with a lit cigarette I felt so uncomfortable as if there isn't enough gas and oil to light the whole place up. They took two days to "look" at my car and then had parts pulled apart on my car when they couldn't answer what they were fixing on the car. Their was no ropes closing off the oil pit and I've never gotten a worse response to asking for one of my possessions back (aka my car!) and when I asked they said "sure have this shit." If you are overwhelmed with workload I understand I was just looking for communication on how long they'd hold onto my car, what they were fixing, and what the diagnostic was. They don't like working on newer cars because of turbos so you're better off elsewhere. But if you're into potential fires this place will suit your needs.
