I'm a black coffee drinker, so I appreciate a restaurant that serves a genuinely good cup of coffee without needing to dress it up. Their coffee was excellent, something I always consider a big plus at a breakfast spot. Service was very good throughout our visit. The staff was friendly and attentive, and despite the restaurant being busy, we had a great experience. The menu is also worth mentioning. There's a creative mix of traditional breakfast favorites and more adventurous options, from several varieties of eggs Benedict to unique breakfast dishes and sweet offerings. Definitely plenty of reasons to come back and explore more of the menu. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. There is a sign in the dining room, "From our kitchen Homemade to your Table". Which was funny because I don't consider Cysco Homemade. The hashbrowns tasted like dehydrated boxed hashbrowns that were rehydrated and put on a flat top. They were overcooked, hard crunchy, not in a good way. I had the Chicken fried steak, gravy, and scrambled eggs. It had no seasoning to speak of. I asked for a biscuit and a cup of gravy added. The biscuit appeared to be a food service biscuit, not made there. Okay, but. I had an orange juice. Tasted like it was out of a bottle. My wife had the Acapulco Bene, the poached eggs were good, the Chirizo sausage looked like the patties out of an MRE, not fresh, or anything special, the english muffin it was all on was out of a bag. Again nothing special. She also had an order of pancakes. Again, nothing special, they were fluffy, and large, but just okay. The ticket was $71 for two, with some extras, $85 with tip. The Hash Holes were delicious too, more food than we needed, but it all made for splendid leftovers, breakfast for dinner the next night! I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

Everyone was so nice and even brought a carafe of water to my table, since I was hobbling around with a cane (I'm waiting for my hip surgery). I was so delighted to see a beautifully decorated latte; in a simple white shallow mug, delivered direct to my table. I ended up ordering a light breakfast...one egg over medium, and some sourdough toast, with butter and their lovely jam. Everything was done perfectly, and the jam was divine. I will definitely be back again and next time I want to try some of their delectable baked goods with my latte.

Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. I watched the hostess accommodate a large party of 8 with 3-4 kids with ease, and another about 10 minutes later, in their relatively small front room; I think there's another room but didn't see it. My point is, they'll make you comfortable and you'll eat well, no matter what! (I forgot to take photos, wanted to dig in right away!)

The restaurant has two separate dining rooms, as well as outdoor seating. I ordered my go-to dish, the Smoked Salmon Benedict. It was delicious and came with a side of hash browns. One of these days, I'll have to branch out and try something different from the menu. They also offer seasonal specialty drinks and menu items, which looked great. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was good. We'll definitely be back!
