I was a member for months. Unfortunately, another company took over, everyone was let go, and the…read moreservices went downhill from there. I requested treatments at the desk, by phone and over email. They said they didn't know how to book them or perform them as all of the staff was new. I was paying $200 a month and more for products, treatments, and services. It is not worth it. While I was here almost daily, I saw other complaints and issues arise with other clients. Do not come here. I had been coming here for over 20 years. After their management changed, the location went downhill quickly. I go to another local spa that is much better. With all of the spas in the area, I recommend going to any of the other ones.

I've been here twice and have enjoyed it but always room for improvements!…read more Pros: you have access to amenities all day including indoor pool, lounge area, sauna, steam room, showers. The massages are lovely! Both times I have gone my massage therapists have been amazing and I walk away fully relaxed! Cons: Towels in the women's bathroom are no where to be found. You have one in your locker (hopefully) and that's it! They don't have a rack of towels anywhere. Hooks are equally hard to come by. There is no place to hang your robe or clothes while you are in the showers or sauna. The quiet lounge area isn't that quiet. It's small and some don't really abide by the whisper zone. Overall, I would recommend as a local spot for an upgraded winter relaxation day!

We spent about 5 hours here on this trip, but I definitely could have stayed longer. There is a parking lot a block or two down the street, as a treat parking is limited. I was really excited to visit King Spa in Palisades Park while I was in the tri-state area. I had…read morebeen to the King Spa in Niles, IL several times and absolutely loved it, so I was expecting a similar relaxing experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling completely disappointed and more stressed than relaxed. I went on a Monday morning hoping to avoid crowds and have a peaceful day. Things started off on the wrong foot almost immediately. While I was simply checking the size of the uniform, holding it up to see if there was a difference in the width, an employee came over and snatched the second pair out of my hand as if I was trying to take something I shouldn't have. It was not a great way to start when I had barely gotten in the door. Next, the layout was also really confusing. The spa is spread across multiple floors with different sections and stairways, but no one explained where anything was or how to navigate the space. I spent a lot of time in the morning trying to figure out where I was and it felt like I was nosing around someone else's house: uncomfortable. The biggest issue, though, was communication. A woman in the locker room offered my niece and me a deal for two massages for $140 ($70 each) and asked me to send the money through Zelle. I sent $170, including what I thought was a generous tip of over 20%. She arranged the appointment, but I didn't confirm what type of massage I wanted. I foolishly assumed they would ask before starting. We had lunch beforehand - the food was delicious and the portion was huge. Unfortunately, they don't offer to-go boxes, so I needed to reschedule our massages in order to finish my meal. Before even finishing my meal, I went to the massage counter to see if we reschedule our appointments. A younger patron helped translate at the massage desk, but she needed my time slot and took it for herself. She told me the woman would help me reschedule and then left. When I tried to figure out my new time, the interaction felt rushed and dismissive. I was given time without being asked if it worked for me, and when I asked about other options, I was told there were none. I would have cancelled but had already paid, so I took the L. When it was finally time for the massage, we were taken back without anyone asking what type of massage we wanted. I realized my mistake because it was a much more intense massage style and is not my preference. At that point though, after so many rushed and uncomfortable interactions, I honestly didn't feel comfortable advocating for myself to tell them I wanted reflexology. The final issue happened while I was changing before leaving. The same woman who arranged the massage came over and told me I hadn't paid enough tip. I was confused because... it was a tip. She told me I owed another $20 and (to add insult to injury) that I couldn't get my license back from the front desk until I paid. That brought the tip to over 35% on a service I didn't choose and didn't enjoy. I came to King Spa looking for rest and relaxation, but instead left feeling like I had spent my hard-earned money somewhere that never quite felt comfortable and certainly not welcomed.

It was a nice, no frills thrill place to get a massage…read more Because the rooms are partitioned off and don't have doors you can hear every conversation going on in the place. I couldn't get in a sleep or relaxation vibe here. The first therapist who worked on me was a male and he was killing me. I have rheumatoid arthritis and had to keep telling him to go soft. Half way through the treatment he switched off with a female therapist whose hands were cold when she laid them on me. Whatever vibe I was in I was immediately taken out of it when her cold hands hit my back. To add to that, she and the other lady in the room who was doing my grand daughter's massage talked to each other throughout the massage. That was such a distraction and it caused me not to be able to relax deeply the way I am able to when I go to the Oasis Spa in Dobbs Ferry or the G-Salon I got to in Fox Woods. But you know how the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for." On the up side, if you want a quick massage for $60 this is the place to go because the full scale spas charge $150-200 for the same treatment. Finally, I was disappointed that nothing much was done with my legs and feet all the attention was on my back, neck and scalp. My granddaughter loved her treatment so I will drop her off when she wants to go back but I will wait to go to my full scale salons.

The couples massage was in the front room, so we did hear a bit of what was going on outside of the room. It was a little distracting at first, but we got into the massage pretty easily. My massage was very good; it was a male masseuse, but I didn't catch his name. My partner said his massage was average. You can't beat the cost! There's a membership option for even cheaper massages as well as other treatments, like facials and scrubs. Great addition to the neighborhood.
