Staff was supportive and helpful with what's expected a client does in order to gain access to my license.

Unfortunately, my interactions have consistently been negative, leading to a frustrating experience.Rudeness and Attitude:Each time I call, Juan has been exceptionally rude. He often hangs up on me without resolving my issues, which is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. This behavior has been mirrored by his staff, who also display a dismissive attitude.Failure to Perform Duties: It seems that the workers are not fulfilling their responsibilities effectively. I have missed work for classes that I was assigned to, only to be told later that I am not on the roster. This kind of miscommunication is unacceptable and has caused me significant inconvenience. As most people…read moreare when first getting into driving, it's incredibly anxiety-inducing when you're put behind the wheel. The instructor I had, Bryan (I apologize if I misremembered your name--it's been a while), was charismatic, kind, and had the utmost patience. I can attribute all my fears being alleviated solely because of him. He was strict, but fair, believing in me throughout the entire course (even when I almost got us into a crash during my initial exposure to driving on a busy street. Sorry for that, lol). Every mistake I made, he was sure to correct it in order to ensure my success within the very next lesson. Bryan had made the entire learning process enjoyable, but also directly improving my self-confidence and utilization of techniques when on the road. Especially when compared to the recklessness that currently plagues SoCal drivers, i pride myself on being responsible and safe when operating any vehicle. Which led me to question, "Why are the reviews for this school so low?" I don't know if there are multiple instructors, however, I can attest that Bryan is nothing like the negative comments make him out to be. Though, these harsh criticisms seem to only come from more than a decade ago--so I reason things have changed. Regardless, I do have one nitpick. It's the DMV this school recommends you to take your tests at: El Monte. I won't name anyone in particular, but there is a specific proctor who you never want to get. There are anecdotes, forums, and a whole petition to remove them from their position. This is due to their overly condescending attitude, plus the (almost) guarantee that you will fail under their grading. Once I got another examiner, I was given a much more accurate analysis that I passed. If I were given a chance to restart all my progress, I would not risk touching this DMV with a 1 mile pole. Anywhere else (except Pasadena) would be better. Nevertheless, Atlantic Driving School cannot control who you get--which is why I didn't take a star off. Please, for your own sake, just don't go to El Monte. 5 Star Driving School - Thank you, Bryan, for all the work you have done for me. God bless.

SERIOUSLY DO NOT GO WITH THIS DRIVING SCHOOL!!! At first I saw bad comment on Yelp but I ignored it…read moreand soon I regretted I had lessons with this instructor called Zoren and he teaches REALLY BAD!!! He kept saying little gas, more gas, no gas within the same 5 seconds, giving confusing signals, and blaming me adding gas while my foot was not even on the padel... He never actually looked at what ur doing but just arrogantly thinking he knows you the best. When you asked him what mistake you made and how to fix the problem, he never able to teach u the right way. Instead he'll just say, ' just take more lessons and you'll be better.' YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT BUT I DON'T EXPECT TO LEARN NOTHING AFTER CLASS... and I really hated him kept saying he will bring me to good places around here, I was like 'I don't even care about the tourist spots I just want to learn how to drive. Who cares if the place is rich or no?' Appreciate him took me around but he's gone too over for real. One more thing is when we were on the street, the speed limit was like 35mph but he kept asking me to drive at 20 something... when I speed to around 30+ he'll start judging. But I knew the DMV is gonna fail you if you drive too slow... the fact that when I was having lessons with another driving school, the instructor told me I was driving too slow on a 35 street with just 27-29 speed but this Zoren always say I can't drive fast... I really got pissed by him because he said like he's the only one who knows how to drive in the entire world, really arrogant. The last lesson I told him I am not taking class with him anymore cause I'll change to another teaching school and he just told me I AM NOT GONNA PASS MY TEST CAUSE I DONT DRIVE WELL the fact turned out I passed my test with only three mistakes proves I drive okay even I start from zero. But the credit doesn't go to this driving school at all

I enrolled to a different traffic school that year for months and was frustrated because ive been failing my actual driving test. I failed 3 times So my ex bf who is now my hubby enrolled me to a different traffic school nearby his apartment. He said he's one of the best.. Sooooo I met Zoren who was my driving instructor and only taught me for 2 hours before my actual driving test, he's so nice and funny because he's Armenian and knows how to speak a little bit of Tagalog. Anyway, after my session with him, he went with me and drove to Glendale DMV for my actual test, he's a bit popular there because driving examiners knows him. Lol! And I remember the examiner told me i was lucky that Zoren was my instructor. After my test, finally, i passed Thanks to Chase Driving School

I had two of the best driving instructors, Jose and Belica--huge shoutout to both of them! They were incredibly patient, and as someone who was honestly very nervous to drive for the first time, they made me feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel. If you're a first-time driver, I highly recommend taking lessons with Belica. She's amazing and walks you through everything step by step until you feel fully ready to drive on your own. I also passed my driving test thanks to them! And another shoutout to Gabi, the sweetest receptionist, who makes sure every driving lesson and DMV test is scheduled perfectly and stress-free. I truly can't express how appreciative I am of Jose and Belica for their patience, encouragement, and support throughout the entire process. They made such a nerve-wracking experience feel manageable and I'm so grateful for everything they did to help me succeed.

He also wasn't even a good instructor, we would get to a dead end and I'd have to ask him to turn left or right while being fully stopped. He reached over and adjusted my wheel slightly while on a residential street approximately 5 times without saying a word. I got annoyed and I asked him, "am I driving too close to the other cars?" to which he replied "yes." You're supposed to tell me that! I have reason to believe that it was partially to invade my space especially due to the flirty comments. I've never had another instructor behave this way before, tried him out and was disappointed. I asked for a refund for just that lesson after I had switched to another instructor for my remaining 4 hours I had prepaid as part of the package. I did this to not lose any more money to this company, and another instructor was sufficient for the remaining lessons. When I asked for one for ONLY the lesson with Nathaniel (which they should have offered in the first place), they offered me a complimentary lesson with another instructor instead, stating that they "understood my frustration" and would "have a conversation with him." This completely dodges accountability. This service is not what I paid for and I will be having to go out of my way to file a charge dispute with my bank to make things right. I also reported him to the DMV already online. When I posted about the school and reporting the school to the DMV on my Instagram account, one of my old coworkers reached out to me. She's 18. I didn't even mention his name in my post, yet she had asked me "did you get Nathaniel?". I was like "how the heck did you know?" And apparently he had harassed her too. He thought she was underage and still proceeded to make inappropriate comments about her height. Take this review as a warning. This man shouldn't be teaching driving to anybody ESPECIALLY high schoolers because he is abusing his position of power to harass young girls and women. They responded to this review alerting me that they were advised to sue. As a response, I have attached the email, which includes no personal information about anyone whatsoever, in which they acknowledged that his behavior was unacceptable, not "small talk." They also included in their public response to my review that "lessons are 2 hours long and can be stopped at any time if students feel uncomfortable." This sentence honestly really frustrated me because I feel that it inappropriately shifts the responsibility onto me, a new driver who did not know where we even were on the road or how to get back to the school, to tell a man 3 times my size and double my age while alone in the car with him and reliant on his guidance, that I feel uncomfortable and wish to stop the lesson and head back. I consider this victim blaming. The fact that I reached out the day after and did everything I could to inform them of his behavior and state that I was no longer comfortable working with him after the lesson should have been enough for them to absolve me of blame from this situation. Their response speaks for itself. I stand by my review and encourage fellow Yelpers to always share their experiences, good or bad.
