My upper lateral sewer drain was clogged. So, as you can imagine we were anxious to both resolve the problem and find out if we had any bigger problem. Tyler and Michael showed up, in a timely manner, to snake the pipe. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly and provided explanation of the service as well as answering questions. We also decided to have the pipe scoped to see what condition it was in. Nat came with the camera and allowed me to watch, explaining everything we saw as well as how the pipe was supposed to be set up. Fortunately for me, our pipe is in good condition. I'll start off by saying that normally these guys are dependable and wonderful and I haven't had any issues. However. This past week they attempted to fix our shower and ended up breaking the shower handle and leaving the shower leaking a continuous stream of water. They said they would leave to get the part...so begins the saga of being told every day for 7 days that they got the wrong part and would be coming the next day. Stayed home every day from work to make sure it would be fixed and...well it never did. Ended up not answering our calls, lying about who was coming and when, and refused to call me back at my number for updates. Ended up never showing up and leaving our shower broken for 8 days, and we had to go with other plumbers. Never thought I would be ghosted by a company but alas, we were. read more

Called ABC for a slow draining bathtub. Due to roots we have to have it done (at least) yearly. Snaked the main sewer line quickly and efficiently. Friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Showed up on time. Quoted a price that was 1/3 the cost of all the other (4) quotes I received. Quality service at a fraction of the cost. You can't beat that! Highly recommend ABC! * the only downside is they are a cash or check business only. No credit card service. Not a big deal. read more

I will be writing another review for this once I have all the details. I am writing this for a friend. They charged $700 for this. Called AB's Plumbing to replace shower valve/handle/escutcheon. They showed up looked at the kit we bought and said you need to buy Pfister valve. Bought Pfister valve and called them back. The new kit was not the "Avante" model, which he failed to tell us. So he proceeded to use what I had bought. The new escutcheon was the wrong one, but he could have reused the old one. He must have damaged it because it disappeared. He botched installing the new escutcheon and the handle came off during second use. I bought the correct Pfister Avante parts and he came back and istalled them. More to follow read more

The last time they sent 2 guys over who told me they "couldn't see" anything wrong in the crawl space so I sent them away. Problem: 2 toilets, shower, bathtub, and kitchen sink all not draining/very slow draining despite drano and plunger. Two people came the same afternoon and snaked the side of the house and also the rooftop ($150), fixed the bathroom and shower problem. Then, they finished the job the next morning for the kitchen sink ($100) with a different tool snaking 50 feet in. It's been 4 days an all draining properly so far. A different plumber called Same Day Plumbing said I needed to pay $10K to replace plumbing to the sewers with major construction. ABC did not think I needed to do this. I don't like writing bad reviews, but my experience with ABC warrants it. I called in the morning for two problems. I was told someone would come out in the early afternoon. When no one came out, I called back. I was told someone was finishing a job, and would be out in an hour. 90 minutes later I called back, and the response was "He isn't there yet? I'll find out what the problem is and get back to you." They didn't get back. When I called--now 6 hours later--they didn't even pick up the phone. I understand plumbers are busy these days. Phones are ringing off the hook. But be professional enough to return a call, or at least have the common courtesy of letting a customer know what is going on. An entire day wasted, and the weekend as well. My guess is the ABC is so busy they don't have to give a damn about customer service. And if this is how they deal with something as simple as phone calls, I'm guessing they have the same level of professionalism with your plumbing problem. read more

I went with ABC Sewer and Drain because I've seen them in the neighborhood and one of my neighbors has used them in the past. Service tech came out to my house as scheduled. Very courteous and professional. Listened to what I said and knew what to do. Cleared the drain and flushed the pipes. Also familiar with the areas houses and it's a known issue around here cause of the trees and most of the homes have the original plumbing still in place. So far everything is flowing smoothly. My bath tub was leaking really bad called this place on a Sunday made an appointment for Monday morning. The guy came out and fixed the leak, told me he ordered the additional parts for the tub and that I could pick them up from General Plumbing supply store in American canyon on Friday. Went to this store , they don't know what we are talking about. My kitchen sink was backing up, so I called several plumbers for an estimate, the quotes were anywhere from $175 to $250 just to snake the drain. Luckily I kept calling until I found ABC, they gave a much lower estimate and came out in a timely fashion. We have hired ABC Sewer and Drain many times over the years to clear our drains, with good results. So yesterday we had them come to replace the seals under both toilets. Before they began working we offered cardboard to put tools/toilet on. They refused. I placed a towel on the wood sink surround to protect it because they were placing tools on the wood. The guy put the towel on the floor and put the toilet on it. We had to ask him to clean up after himself and I still had to get up very sticky spots when he was done. After they left I was cleaning and noticed that one of the toilets was sitting unevenly on the floor, with much more of a gap in the front than it used to have. The bolt tighteners were also loose. Then we pushed on the front of it and the whole toilet wobbled. Called ABC about it and were told they would come back same day. By 8:30 pm they were still working elsewhere so Ken said he would come today. He did, tightened the bolts some and said it was fixed. My husband sat very hard on it (agreeably not a great idea, but it didn't break) to see if it was still wobbling. Ken became incensed, said it was stupid,that we were trying to make problems, and left, saying how stupid we were and if there was still a problem to call him. Well, the toilet still wobbles a lot, but we will not be calling him! I have never been treated so rudely by a so-called professional. read more
