I am extremely happy and satisfied with the work Franklin performed on my house. I had a very bad slab leak which was causing my floor to be hot and water to come up through the floor, which also damaged my floor. This process was a HUGE headache. I called a leak detection company, and all they did was come out and use some sort of sonor equipment. They "located the leak" and put tape on the floor, to mark the spot but told me they needed to break concrete in order to get to the pipe, and fix the leak. I didn't go with it because I figured $15,000.00 was way too much. I called another local plumber and all he did was cut holes in my walls looking for GOD KNOWS WHAT. And worse HE REEKED OF MARIJUANA. He cut a bunch of holes in my walls just to tell me he can't fix it. Keep in mind this is DAY 2 OF NO WATER... By the third day I am extremely frustrated and angry at this situation. I go to Lowe's to try to see what I can buy so that I can at least shower and I see the CM PLUMBING truck. I reached out to Franklin. I explained the situation and in a quick explanation Franklin basically mapped out my whole house. even though he had never been to my house. He was very cheerful and he seemed so eager and happy to help me out. Jokingly I said "you're my new plumber" and he responded with " I'm not just a plumber, I'm your best friend". He came to my house and within 2 hours he located the leak, stopped it. And turned my water back on. Turned out it was the kitchen sink pipe. He came back the next day and rerouted the pipe.. without having to break the concrete floor... And he even did me the favor of replacing my toilet with no additional charge. First American, where do I even start..... THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, THE WORST CONTRACTORS! My house flooded back in DECEMBER cause by the shower drain disconnecting from the drain, they told us to remove the tub so they can access it because that's the only thing they will cover. So we did. We demoed the whole fiber glass tub/ shower so they could access the drain LIKE THEY ASKED to repair it. Well the first plumber they sent out from C& M plumbing who told us it was the drain and reported it back to first am who then told us to remove the tub went back in his word and said we caused the problem because we were "remodeling" HA! So I call them up (because every call is recorded you know) and tell them they need to go back into their notes and read what the previous customer service agent told us and that was to remove the tub/shower. Anyway because if the lying POS Chris at C&M plumbing is I told them to send me a new contractor because I obviously did not want that man back in my home repairing my drain. So they sent me A&C plumbing nice people I feel bad they're involved in this mess but the technician they sent didn't speak much English, he's going about his work replacing the drain and as he's working he punctures the shower pipes and floods my house AGAIN. I'm on the phone with first am while this was happening while I was running around like a mad woman trying to find the water main shut off (this all should've been being recorded right ). He but a coupling over the area he broke and left, so I obviously need the pipes replaced for the shower and they should pay to replace it right? NOPE. WRONG. at this point everytime I'd call I would get hung up on etc. so I had to do what any normal hi man being would do and hired a new plumber out of my own pocket to fix the damages from first am. After a couple weeks and I get emails from them asking if my job is completed I of course put no repeatedly because they left the job in worse condition then what we started with. What do you know someone reaches out to me and to make this very long part of the story short they ask me for an invoice so they can REIMBURSE ME I send them the $5,000 invoice I paid and what do you know? It's not good enough. It didn't say exactly what they wanted it to say in their words (this is them trying to get around paying for their mistakes this is how they operate) so they tell me my claim is closed! Don't waste your time or money I've been dealing with this issue with them since December it's March 5th now, you tell me if that's worth it cause it sure ain't to me anymore. I called on a Sunday and got a return call within 45 minutes. By then another company at said they would be at our home (major plugged line since Saturday night) so I thanked him for the return call. The first company failed to show so on Monday I called and he said he would be here at 1 pm. At 1:15pm he called and said he would be here between 4:30 and 5pm. At 5:10 I tried calling the number he called from and was told the plumber was not there. I tried the cell phone number in the phone book and he answered and said he was on his way. He arrived about 5:20 pm and rodded out the line and at 6:15 presented us a bill for $250.00. That makes his labor charge about $300.00 an hour. Outrageous.
