I was able to have a tow truck drop my car off in the parking lot but with a lot of difficulty. This dealership blocked the majority of their entrances/exits with cars. I understand this may be to prevent vehicles from being stolen, but this is a dealership with after hour drop offs and a key drop box. How do they expect that to work if they physically block cars from entering? I was charged about $450 dollars to replace the one tire and fix the alignment. This was after a "20% discount" (they took off $25). When I picked up my car, I had to wait quite a while just to ask someone what happened to the tire. I got a rushed generic response and was brushed aside. Every other Acura dealership I've gone to offers free washes. When I found my car outside, it was dirtier than when I had dropped it off. It's a small thing, but if I'm paying for a luxury vehicle and spend hundreds of dollars at this dealership for a flat tire, I expect to not drive away with my car covered in bird shit.

I should have researched dealerships, because I'm reading a lot of reviews that match my experience today. Instead of treating me like the potential buyer I was, and trying to show a reasonable level of customer service, he immediately indicated that he wasn't going to spend "3 hours" with me if I wasn't ready to buy. That they "need to keep the miles low" on the car I was interested in (i.e.-you're not getting a test drive). He referenced the $50k+ price multiple times, suggesting I hadn't even looked at the MSRP or considered what I can afford. He walked away "for a few minutes" while I looked around the car. I stood there waiting for him to return. He was super busy chatting with his colleague, walking through the showroom to step outside and check the weather, then staring at his computer in his office. After 10-15 minutes, I left. No card, no attempt to get contact information. I guess I should have lied when I set expectations early that I wasn't buying that day. I was also courteous enough to show up in the middle of a weekday afternoon (the place was empty), but Jim didn't want to put forth any effort that might not pan out, at the risk (now, a certainty) that he doesn't get a sale. I would have returned and sought another salesperson, but reviews indicates he's not the only problem there. There are plenty of other Acura dealers. Research them and I think you'll end up going elsewhere.

Step one would be to go to a review of another dealer I wanted to go to (Wayland Automotive Services, Wayland, MA.)so you can read it FIRST, that way you will know how I got here to Action Automotive!! They were double icky. Chris @ Action is worth the visit. So if you read what I wrote, here is my visit worked out with Chris at Action Automotive. is the rating because that is the most amount of stars that I can choose! We (Rebecca & I) live near Albany NY and wanted a good used vehicle to use as primary transportation year round. Action Automotive was 130 miles each way. Our motorcycles are not good in the snow, neither is her dream car we also bought used (another story) 2008 Vette (triple black rag top) And our Ram is our Mule( 2016 reg. cab,1500, 2wd). Action had a PT Cruiser we were interested in (2008 Base model wagon). It's job would be all short errands, rain and snow also. I was suppose to have been hit in the left rear corner 4 times - that turned out wrong! Chris described the damage over the phone, and if I got there and it was not at described I would turn around and head back home. I drove to his place of business with our Ram, and our 16 foot steel deck trailer. It was not as described, it was actually much better than I thought. I got there a bit late, missed a turn or two but he waited for me. He new I was coming as he fed me the directions I needed. As a result he was stuck at work waiting, He had paper work ready, we talked a bit handed over the money loaded it up (I did not want to keep him there so I skipped a road test - just the 15 feet or so onto the trailer and headed home. Was given a warranty also, but we had a conversation about the 260 mile round trip if it needed any thing. I told him I would most likely fix it myself (I'm an auto tech since 1968 (yeah I'm old - but a hand shake kind of guy-and Chris seemed like one also. Once home I went thru it, called him, made a few repairs that I wanted to do, and needed a repair that was needed, We talked over emails about it, and it was handled via mail. The wife and I LOVE this little car, it just fits like a glove! maybe that is why Chrysler sold 1.3 million of them, in just 10 years of production. If you are near Action Automotive, in Berlin CT make them a stop for service and/or a car-truck, If you do not live close (I don't) they are still worth a stop. actual rating 10 out of 10 Jerry & Rebecca Horn, just north of Albany NY

The technician Lucas hopped in my truck with me and went around for a ride to listen to the noises. They corrected it, brand new parts under warranty. I will have to say the rest of this review is true, their sales dept continues to not be helpful. Even when I came in because the info screen went totally black, the sales guy didn't seem to care and only asked why I bought the truck at another dealer? I know he's not in the service dept, but he didn't even listen to my concerns, only asked if I would come back to buy another new vehicle. This was the Sales Manager too from what he said. Original review: Not knowledgeable at all with trucks. I wasted over two hours there with a sales rep, and I knew way more about the stats of the F150's than he did. I am being honest here, and it may be brutal, however he didn't know simple words such as axle ratio. He was showing me the grid of axle choices and said I should go home and study it. I do use this dealership for my emissions, and have had no problems, they are quick and polite - however I would never buy a new truck from them. I can't speak for other sales reps - only from what I went through. I am happy we went with a different CT Ford dealer, they were extremely knowledgeable about the F150 lineup. Months later I am still getting flyers in the mail, when I was told the offers in my mailbox would stop. Can't stand this company!

After test driving, I asked them to throw it up on their lift so I could inspect the underside, and they happily obliged. For those interested, they have a great inventory of Saabs for anyone looking for a good one who doesn't think anybody bothers selling them anymore. Peter loves them along with Audis. Even though I had to register the car in tricky MA, Peter and his team sent everything I needed for a smooth registration/insuring process. Windshield wipers were a little sticky and worn, so he happily provided and installed brand new ones for me on the spot. He even gave me a gently used Saab trunk badge so I could replace the one on the car which was faded. True enthusiast, kind, and responsive. After a Thursday evening test drive we returned Saturday morning completely prepared to purchase a vehicle. With paperwork underway, Mike filled the gas tank and brought the vehicle around. En route, he noticed a potential transmission issue and all but refused to let us take it from their lot until their mechanic could look at it. Neither my wife nor I noticed any issues when we test drove the car days prior. For speaking up and doing right by us when he could have kept silent and secured a sure sale, an overly positive review is fitting. Granted, we too felt the "buy it or not, we don't care" attitude as others have made note. We didn't feel pressured to buy, but then again we didn't necessarily feel they wanted our business. The prices on the vehicles we tested were fair. We scoured craigslist, auto trader, kelleybluebook and cars.com before visiting Prestige and their prices were, indeed, lower than elsewhere considering year, mileage, condition, etc. In our experience, in complete contrast to other reviews, these folks do not only care about money. As of the writing of this review, I do not know if our potential purchase had major or minuscule transmission issues. I do know that Mike was looking out for our best interests by not making potential problems our problems. Don't infer their inventory may be mechanically unsound given our experience. Used cars sold anywhere have the same potential. Thanks to Mike for his honesty and concern.

Undaunted, I proceeded to the lounge where I remained until 7:50AM when I saw my car being parked outside. I returned to the service department only to discover the individual handling my account was in process of heading out the back door. On his return some 10 minutes later he spent time joking with a couple other attendants before turning his attention to me. After the related paperwork was printed, I was directed to another individual who accepted my credit card in payment. The final cost was not the $39.99 plus taxes as expected because a new, since the previous oil change, charge of $9.26 has been introduced for shop supplies. Nonetheless, the overall price was more than reasonable. Another notable and questionable change from my previous experience was found as a result of the multi-point complimentary inspection performed. The one completed 9 month's prior noted that future services that might be needed included an alignment, micron cabin filter and an air filter. None of which were performed in the interim or listed this time as possible future services. The person who then ordered a part works remotely I was later told, and she apparently messed up. I went there 2 days later. "Per customer request, removed and replaced underneath shield", not one, but two, for $237.89. Mechanic missed the visibly obvious loose and rattling heat shield right in the middle of the car underneath, so the rattling noise was still there as I drove home. It took 2 days to get a call back from the service manager who asked me to return a few days later so they could inspect and order the right part. I did so, they ordered the right part, told me this repair would cost an additional $110, and two days later it was installed. The service advisor tried telling me that the two underneath shields ("splash shields", not heat) were missing the first time, notwithstanding an invoice that says they "removed and replaced" them. The service manager avoided talking with me. The advisor consulted the manager and agreed to charge only for the new part. He thought it would cost $30 to $40, but it turned out to be $55.99. So I am out about $290 for a $110 repair, with 2 new splash shields I didn't need.
