He responded quickly and clearly explained that he would only charge me if the ADAS calibration was successful, which I found extremely fair and reasonable. At the appointment, he spent about 30 minutes attempting the calibration and ultimately determined that the camera itself was faulty and couldn't be calibrated. He was honest about it and didn't charge me. Instead, he recommended finding a shop that could replace and program the camera properly. Mike is very professional, knowledgeable, and prompt with communication. 2023: I had a cracked windshield and contacted the shop for a quote. Mike provided a fair price and mentioned he could work directly with my insurance. I told him I was concerned about potential premium increases and preferred to pay out of pocket. I had the unfortunate but sadly, not uncommon experience, of driving on the beltway and then having a large construction vehicle pull onto I-495 - and even with one of those covers over the truck bed - little rocks and debris bounced out and onto the road and subsequently onto my windshield causing a small dime-sized crack. Aargh! In the past, I would schedule Vitta to come to my residence to repair the windshield, but they were super busy and not working in my area for at least another week, so I decided to drive out to their shop in Sterling. Sterling is 20+ miles from me, but I called on a Friday and they were able to set up and confirm an appointment the next day; bonus that they have Saturday hours. TIP: If you opt to visit their shop in Sterling, VA, definitely call to SCHEDULE AND CONFIRM an appointment since the technician is usually booked and there are limited hours. The Vitta Auto Glass shop is located in a non-descript (and somewhat sketchy) industrial park. For reference, when you pull into the parking lot, it is located in the BACK of the Dulles Autobody and Paint. Follow the signs to the right up a gravel path, and there will be signs for Vitta Auto Glass. I arrived a bit early for my 1pm appointment, but the techs arrived around 1:15pm since they were at lunch. They examined the chip, and immediately cleaned the area, and applied the resin to fill the crack to prevent it from expanding to the dreaded "spider web" pattern. They used a special UV light to speed up the drying/curing time. All told, the entire process took maybe 15-20 minutes. Best of all, to repair the chip, it only cost me $25!!! Of course keep in mind that depending on the size, number of chips, and severity of repair(s), your price may vary. Also, not sure if it would've cost more for mobile services, but it was worth the drive for me, since after getting a few quotes, the next cheapest repair shop quoted me $75. As an additional note, not only does Vitta perform windshield repair, but also whole windshield replacement and calibration of the sensors, which are found on most modern vehicles. Until proven otherwise, I will continue to recommend Vitta Auto Glass and am a satisfied and happy customer.

I saw the great reviews here, so brought it in to see what could be done because it seemed obvious that something was just misaligned. Tech came out to inspect my car and was telling me I definitely needed new hinges! I might need a new door! This is going to run a lot of money! That they weren't going to try to investigate a misalignment because they wanted to do things "the right way!" Sure buddy. I thanked him, left and went to the body shop just down the street. Where a tech took a look at the door, determined that the A-pillar on the car door hinge had just gotten bumped out of place, bumped it back into place which fixed the problem, and within 15 seconds sent me on my way. Didn't even charge me because it was such a minor "repair" if you can even call it that. Royal might be good at what they do, I don't know. But they tried to upsell me on a repair that was thousands of dollars for something that wasn't even broken and was a component easily pushed right back into place. So definitely get a second opinion if you go here.
